Oh poor you elsien. Gitdog just wanted to spend time with his mummy. Dumbass dog has sore ears (the curse of dogs with long, floppy ears) and needs ear powder in his ears. He wont leave my side so yesterday everytime I went for a wee I was accompanied by a dog lying on my feet. He's just a big cuddle monster.

Great to hear from you oldestgnome. Your travels sound wonderful.

    Naughty gitdog! :rotfl:

Hope everyone's doing ok this morning x.
  • Hahahahahaha! Aw, Gitdog wanted his mummy! New home? I'll take him!

I hope Dumbass dog feels better soon, code!

Hello, oldestgnome! What an amazing time you are having! I read your blog regularly to follow your travels!

Good luck today, Spider. I will be thinking of you so that when you call your GP you are not alone. Let us know how you are when you feel up to it, I really hope you get some positive results at the appointment.

There are workmen sanding down our windows. Why are they sanding down windows that are going to be removed? I think we have a slight miscommunication happening...

Perhaps they're sanding the frames which might be staying?

Am annoyed/fed up, and not feeling brill.

Have a very busy week...had AmDram performance Monday, rehearsals Tuesday, have an all-day AmDram workshop in next county tomorrow, then all-day AmDram workshop in other next county Saturday, and performances all-day Sunday, again in next county.

So a chronic physical thing I get decided to start yesterday evening. Makes me feel 'ill' and at its worst I could be in bed a few days. So have retired to bed for the day today in the hope of blitzing it.

Means I'll miss a much needed exercise class today, and possibly also on Friday, as the workshops are important, paid-for, booked ages ago, and involve lifts for people! Plus I need to learn lines, but don't feel too good!

Am annoyed, 'cos I did absolutely nothing all last weekend, just slothed around, in anticipation of this busy week.

    Grrrrr!

    I love

  • Not fair, Pyxis! Do spend today in bed and have a glance at your lines if you feel up to it. I feel exhausted already looking at your week. Find a good film to watch and relax for a bit!

  • Reading some other threads has made me realise that due to either my odd brain or my field of work I sometimes don't see things the way other people do.

I'm not sure how this makes me feel. I guess I might be insensitive, or maybe desensitised is the right word...

    Hmm.

Awww Gitdog! Love the stories about him. Hope dumbass dog's ears are better soon too.

Love and happy thoughts to all who need it :)

  • I often have those thoughts, HBS. In my case for good or bad I am very open-minded and ridiculously laid back so what other people feel strongly about I often don't see as too much of a big deal. I think it is because I was never brought up with boundaries or rules, sometimes it's a good thing and other times it isn't so good because I accept things I probably shouldn't.

But yes, I too tend to think differently to a lot of other people on threads.

  • Thanks WaS, I'm so glad to know it's not just me!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I said this elsewhere this morning
.If anyone can hear loud anguished wailing in the south of England, its probably coming from here. I forgot to take chicken wings out of the freezer for the cats last night. The outrage is .......not insignificant nor is it quiet.

Five hours later the cats are still yelling 'wiiiiiiiiiiings'. 'Wih wih wih wiiiiiiiiings'. Of course they were giving cat food instead, and the wings are defrosting, but goodness gracious. I have no other thawed raw meat to give them. :(.
  • Hahahahaha! How adorable, LIR! Hopefully they will quieten down for you soon. I had a cat who somehow seemed to know it was Sunday and if she didn't get her chicken she would scream the house down everytime.
