Your Comments Are Noted, But What Do You Do When Your Are Advised To Cancel The Card, Especially After My Friend Who Also Banks With Abbey Had Her New Card Intercepted In The Mail And £1000 Taken From Her Account (some Time Back). Again It Would Have Been Helpful If The Advisor Could Have Told Me I Would Not Be Able To Access The Internet. I Did Ask If My Card Could Be Sent By Special Delivery, No Is The Answer They Do Not Do That. My Cousins Bank Send His By Courier. Thats What I Call A Service. I Was Told Saturday That No Cards Had Been Sent Out For Me. So Who Do You Believe.

I totally appreciate what you say .I'm just saying what happened to me and it sounds like you are in the same boat .The card of mine that Abbey cancelled because they thought it hadn't gone out because of some "unconfirmed address" issue arrived the day after it was stopped ,hence why I got one with a new number on ..
I don't think you need worry about things like cards being sent by SD .The problems are with Abbey not with Royal Mail .

I'll be cancelling my account with Abbey as soon as I can, they have got lots of service out of me and they just don't seem to care.

I think I'll be killing someone at Abbey shortly! After having two cards which were both working and spending an hour on the phone earlier, both cards have just been declined when I have tried to pay for petrol!! And the number is engaged constantly!

Sorry to keep bumping this but does anyone have an email address to contact abbey? The 'contact us' section just keeps saying 'page cannot be displayed'.

Funny you should say that - my OH's card was just declined in the Tesco petrol station nearby! Just checked online and there's money in the account and none due to come out - so another little Abbey mystery! Thank goodness our new account with A&L is almost ready to go - I can recommend them if anyone is thinking of leaving Scabbey......:rotfl:

With regards to people who say they can't log in to Abbey's Internet banking. I'm just wondering what the message you was when you put in your details.

The reason I ask is because for the last 3 days I get this.

This service is currently unavailable, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please try again later.

If I read that message right it means something 'AGAIN' wrong their end. Going to make another call tomorrow to find what this message is all about.

Once I enter all my numbers and password it doesn't tell me that they were incorrect. so, anyone else getting that message or something else?
Please do not feed the Trolls!
