So as a consequence I don't date anymore. I'd rather be on my own.
This is very sad. Can't you be single, and just date for fun? These days I'm happy if a date is a good flirt but even better company.

Or she could decide by the 12th date "I actually really like and fancy this guy and want to give him a good snog".
I seriously doubt it! I used to apply a "3 strikes and you're out" policy vis-a-vis physical interest, now it's just one. It doesn't mean that they get anything much, but I know they are not a complete waste of time.

Sorry to hear that, but at least you can move on. Know your own value, appreciate that is takes all sorts - you just happened to find an extreme in this case - but not to compromise on your own expectations. You sound like a gentleman, remember a date is not just about them!

  • I actually think if you don't want to kiss someone on the first or second date, that person is well and truly in the friend zone anyway.

Its natural to want to kiss someone, I mean, if she accepted a date, for many women, by the time you say yes to dating someone, you have it in your head that you quite fancy them anyway.

Unless you meet them when you have the beer goggles on and then turn up and think !!!!!! :)

If there's no spark, the relationship is pretty much doomed anyway.

Go forth and find someone who wants to snog the face off you.

If there's no physical spark after 2 dates I'd have called it time on things then, after 11 dates I'd be asking myself why I'd wasted the previous 9 dates ;)

She sounds like she enjoys your company but not much else
Second date, bed. Not long after that, Wed!

There's a guy who writes well about dating... I can't post links yet, but you can search for Mark Manson. There's a post written on the 8th of July called "F_ _ k Yes or No", but there are many other interesting ones.

Perhaps someone can post the link here...

Not so fast with the 'frigid' label!

Another explanation could be that she may be a Romantic Asexual. That would mean that she is interested in having a mentally romantic relationship but not so keen on the physical stuff.

Asexual is the politically correct form of frigid :)
