Well we had an unexpected viewing last night so not sure what, if anything, will come out of that!

Spoke with my manager yesterday and I was told my job will change but I will have a job at least so that's great news and I'll just keep my head down until the whole moving process is sorted and then I'll see what else there is out there in the same company.

We're off on a little weekend break shortly and I can't wait - seriously needed. We'll take a packed lunch with us, a really luxurious, spoling us rotten one. We're stopping off half way (7 hour journey) to take in some sights on the way and are hoping for a tranquil and informative few days. End of next week we go :)

It's already allocated on the budget :)

    Happy Friday!

I am so pleased the weekend is here. I'm sick of estate agents and waiting for my phone to ring or beep with an email. On a weekend we have so much on that I don't get chance to think about it and that's lovely.

Money wise, things are fairly quiet. I am due a payment in on Tuesday and I've paid £33 for some new boots for DD as hers are trashed for riding. DH will give me half of that so it could be worse!

    Happy weekend everyone :)

    Happy Monday :)

A lovely weekend was had by all. We went to some local argricultural shows and to the beach. Really enjoyed ourselves. Last week and then I'm off so next week I won't be updating as I'm taking a break from everything. We're having some time away as a family and generally just chilling out. I say chilling out - the house is still for sale so pending anything happening there! The plan is to relax and spend time with each other without having to "hurry up" as we have somewhere to be!

So this week I need to get work finished ready for the break, write my list to go away and some ideas for when we're off at home.

I've had some unexpected spends this weekend so I'll adjust the figures accordingly. New jods and treats whilst out and about enjoying ourselves.

    Thursday already!

Well tomorrow I probably won't be posting as I'm only on briefly and then off to get ready for the hollibobs.

Nothing further to report on the house.

Money is ok too though will take a hit when we go away. It will be worth it though.

I'll see you in a week to 10 days when hopefully I will have something new to report :) Take care.

  • What a lovely time off. We went "down south" to Devon and stayed in a working farm B&B, attended a gathering of like minded people and had the best of times. We learnt so much which will come in useful for when we move, yes, you read it right :D We've had an offer on our house, lower than we hoped but acceptable and by god did we accept it. We're hopefully starting the journey to the place of our dreams. A little small holding where we can raise our own animals, grow our own food, bring the horses home and generally live the life we'd love to live. It's going to be hard, there will be moments I wonder why we did it, but it will be fabulous.

It's going to be a very busy remainder of the year for us. We've also acquired two new dogs who are beautiful, travel with work in October, hoping to move in November, a stressful exam in December and every day life in between. The every day work for all of those months is going to be full on as we enter my very busy period again. So roll up your sleeves and dig in.

I must admit, I didn't expect anything to happen during the holidays and I feel extremely unorganised now it has (house wise). I need to make lists and day dream but I've not done any of that. Puppies, horses, children and husbands see to it that I have little time. So I think a bath and wine night will be in order at the weekend. I don't have time before then :rotfl:(I shall shower of course :p).

Debt now stands at £23605 and is steadily going down. The new car (which is finally working after it breaking a day after I bought it) has been a god send as it runs on fresh air it seems. So the money I spent over the holidays was what I would have spent on fuel but didn't meaning I'm not in debt to my budget!

I am going to find some time to get back to basics and think about what I'd like life to be like when we move. By that I mean, what's important to me such as home grown food, home cooked food, family time, lots of laughing, patch work quilts, cosy fires......you get the idea.
