  • Congratulations! I haven't had a bath for years — parents decided our small bathroom is better without one — and miss them terribly. Good luck for the move :)

  • Happy new life :D
  • Happy new life indeed :) We can't wait!

The solicitors asked for certain documents which I've completed and sent back. One we don't have so I think that may be a hurdle - will see what they say.

More of the waiting game today :)

Tea tonight will be easy - omlette for DH and FF's for the kids. I'll have dippy eggs I think. Thank you chucks.

I am working for one hour, have the horses to ride and usual to do. If I have time I will pack another box for moving. Maybe the utility as there's lots of things in there I don't use very often.
    Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)

    Loan 1 £1787
    Loan 2 £1683
    Total £8601 Was £39302
  • I didn't get to pack anything last night as I got called on to work for 2 hours but the good news is that means tonight should be just one hour.

I've got a bucket full of mince there to use so I will do something with that tonight and freeze the rest in to portions. I must think about running the freezer down though before we move. I'll have to buy a freezer and fridge as they won't be leaving theirs so I have included that in the moving price.

So revision this morning, any outstanding actions this afty, collect kids, sort animals, tea, horses, work, pack. Not guarenteed to be in that order.

I'm slowly making lists for the move, including ideas of things I'd like to do as they pop in to my head. I'm planning on getting a huge food delivery when we move in to save any need to shop for the first few days and allow us to concentrate on settling in and making it cosy.

  • :j Fantastic news - so pleased for you :j
  • Thank you - lovely to see your post, hope all is going well with pregnancy.

Nothing to report here really. I'm chasing people on the house sale and purchase and we should hear back re the purchase valuation/survey today or early next week at the latest. I'm also waiting on a response to a question from the solicitor.

No more has been paid off debt until next pay day. I need to start thinking about getting some Xmas gifts in as moving and buying presents in the same month doesn't sound enjoyable :D Christmas on the farm does though .............off to day dream..........

  • Ah that's lovely of you thanks.

It does feel a bit as though we are in limbo. I think I need to take a step back and let people do their thing which I'm not great at. I'm going to have that bath tonight with a glass of wine I think.

  • How lovely of you - thank you :)

Let's see what this week brings :D

Plans are for me to leave the estate agents/solicitors and survey people to do their thing until Wednesday when I expect to hear back re the survey and once I get that back I can start pestering again. My mortgage lady is on holiday until next week however we hope to have everything in place for when she is back ready to proceed.

Another couple of boxes packed this weekend and I'm starting to buy extras for our essentials box. I have pain killers at the moment ha! Things that we will need for day 1. Cutlery, washing up liquid, tea towel, tea/coffee/sugar, notepad, pen, screwdriver, maybe batteries, torch and so on. It will be the darker months by the time we move so we will have limited day light and not only are we moving us, we're moving the smaller animals too so I need to be able to get them sorted asap.

Money wise I spent on groceries this weekend and I filled up the car at back end of last week. no other spends. I'll quickly check the accounts now and shift around anything I need to - although I will leave the shifting to tomorrow maybe as CB goes in then.

On the work agenda this week is study/close out old requests and start end of year cycle planning.
