A quiet day here money wise. I have the car back and haven't needed to fill it up with diesel, nor should I need to before pay day. No spend week and pay day on Friday. I should have a few pennies left to save towards the house move, whenever that may be. We've heard nothing from Sunday's viewing, not even feedback from the agents which is poor. I am going to give them until tomorrow then I will call for feedback! We shouldn't have to given the price we will paying them should they ever manage to sell the house!
I'm working evenings this week so I'm a bit to pot! At least I will be able to get through my washing.

  • Oooh pesky estate agents ! They do seem to do not a lot of work for quite a bit of money don't they, I think I'm in the wrong job :rotfl:
Do you have another estate agent you could change to ?
At least you're getting extra time to put extra pennies away :)

We're in a contract with them for now. Turns out the people who came to view are away for 2 weeks anyway so nothing doing there for a fortnight!

Looks like I will have a small amount of money left in the bank at the end of this month so that will go into the savings pot towards the house move.

My car is still running and has just over half a tank of diesel left which I am hoping will see me through until the end of next week. I've not been able to see the true spending on it with it being in the garage etc so next month I shall look into that. Pay day is Friday :)

Another quietish day money wise. I've paid for the horses to have their feet trimmed but in budget so not a problem. It will be at least 6 weeks (touch wood) before they need doing again.

I've decided to go and see 2 other properties which are more expensive than the one we've seen but I think it will be good to see what more you get for your money and how the areas differ. It'll also keep me from going crazy whilst waiting for viewings on my own house!

Pay day tomorrow. I'm going to made a small payment to the CC just to keep it ticking over and paying above the minimum. Then I'll sit tight until next pay day :) I have 2 weeks off during this pay day and also a weekend away so there will be some spends there so I shall allocate something towards that but will be keeping it to a minimum.

I'm off with the kids in the morning so will get some decluttering done and also take the dog out with them. We'll maybe have a trip out to the park or something before I have to work. I am so pleased Friday will finally be here - it's been a long, boring and tedious week. I think all weeks will feel like this whilst we're in this position with the house! Trying not to sound down in the dumps - I'm just being impatient. :)

Pay day is here and I haven't even been wishing it to come round so this month can't have been too bad money wise :)
I've paid £100 to the CC (the CC is the ONLY CC now :) )and that will be it for this month to that. The loan payments will come out next week then no other debt payments will go this month. The remainder will go to house savings and the weekend away.
Nothing new on the house front. So frustrating. I wonder if next payday will see us with an offer on ours.

    Thanks hun.

It's Monday again!! A nice weekend was had depite the onset of a migraine which is still threatening now. I have a pain in my neck and stuffed nose so I'm wondering what's brewing. Hopefully nothing as I really don't have time to be ill at the moment.

I've just paid the NI contributions that came through from the extra job I had a few months ago so that's done and relatively painless.

I have a survey through for £15 but won't see that for a few weeks yet.

The agents have rang to see if we're still interested in the house we love and if we've managed to sell ours yet - I did remind them that they would be the first to know. As if I'd have an offer and be sat waiting for them to call me to let them know. I've started making a tentative list of big items we'd need to buy for day one should we manage to this place. It's only on a post it and not permanently in my notepad so it can be binned if it falls through.

Work should be relatively quiet this week :)

    Morning diary land

Tuesdays are normally very bleurgh for me as it's my long day. Today is different though as I've had another viewing on the house (not related to the one we already had) and they seemed to really like it so fingers and toes crossed for an offer shortly. They have connections in the area and a timescale to meet - my kind of people! So I'm reading between the lines that they want it done sharpish due to schools. Whilst writing this we've also had another viewing booked for the end of the week. So we've gone from none to 3 in one week.

Money wise I have the 1k I made on my car in the bank plus another £100 saved from another month and this month I think I will be able to save £300. So £1400 towards my target of 2k by the end of September which is for moving costs and immediate requirements.

Having these viewings and saving this money, it's all starting to feel real and scary but exciting!
