Updated total for his month as no more debt payments will go out now:

    £24,498.

This is £11,010 paid or 37.7% paid meaning 62.3% to go for those who don't like maths this early on the morning.

July, August and September are the 3 months I've set aside to save circa £2,000 so with that in mind the debt won't be reduced as much as originally planned. This is the new forecast:

    July £24,498
    August £23,877
    September £23,252

So when October's pay comes round - we will hopefully be in the process of moving or have moved so the savings may increase to 4 months. If October is minimum payment too, it will look like this:

    October £22,621

Then payments will resume and should follow this forecast for remainder of the year:

    November £21,787
    December £20,948

2016 I am hoping will look like this:

    January £20,007
    February £19,061
    March £17,068
    April £16,654
May £13,069 (hoping for a payment to clear CC around now)
    June £12,008
    July £10,946
    August £9,884
    September £8,823
    October £7,761
    November £6,700
    December £5,638
This is when I was hoping to be DF but it's not going to be possible if we move house. Therefore:

    2017 forecast:
    January £4,577
    February £3,515
    March £2,454
    April £792
May - Debt Free 5 months behind target but better than not being DF!
    Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)

    Loan 1 £1787
    Loan 2 £1683
    Total £8601 Was £39302

5 months isn't long in the grand scheme of things, especially not if you get your dream home into the bargain!

Lol very true Pink! I hadn't thought of it like that.

Well we have had a couple view a second time and they said they liked it just as much the second time round but we're not to worry if we don't hear from them as they are off for their summer holidays now (the EA got the dates wrong!). We have someone else viewing tomorrow so lord knows what the weekend will bring.

I am starting to let my thoughts mull over Xmas in a new house tho......naughty.

Bought lunch at work today which I shouldn't. I'm upside down with having to keep everything out of sight in the house! After tomorrow, we can relax in being overly tidy for a while, unless we get another viewing over the w/e!

Morning and happy new week :)

We had the final viewing and they liked it. Today they have started talking to the estate agent about their position and potential negotiations, though nothing transpired yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed but not getting my hopes up too much as early days and so much can go wrong.

Money wise I've just paid another small amount to the CC to bring it just under 6k :) So CC now £5999 lol. New total is £24,473.

    Morning :)

Well I've managed to hang some washing out and put another load on ready to hang out at lunch time. I've unloaded and loaded the DW (with the help of DD bless her). The house is still tidy though I need to get some ironing done. The fact that it's hidden in a cupboard and it doesn't shout at me every time I see it (as I don't often go in) means it is easy to ignore it. Last night I washed my hair instead of leaving it another day and I feel loads better for it today. Getting my act together as things are on hold, or feels like I have put them on hold, whilst the house is for sale.

So now we have no more viewings booked and lord knows how long it will take before anything transpires, I'm making myself get back on track. Chicken is defrosting for tea and we have veg to go with it so a nice tea should be on the cards.

I'm counting down to some time off with the kids! Lots of free fun to be had.

Money wise the payment to the CC has gone through so that's officially under 6k and the other CC that I closed and paid off has been officially closed. I'm not sure when it will update on my credit file but hopefully not too long.

I have upped my grocery spend to 175 this month as it is a 5 week month the way my pay dates will fall. Even so, still next to nothing compared to many people.

Right, I'm off to think about what I can get cracking on with at work. It's a very quiet time over the next couple of weeks so I need to keep relatively busy or I will be bored rigid!

Good news - I was a month behind in where I thought I was with my loan total (or in front, however you choose to look at it) so a correct updated figure is:

    £24,197.

It doesn't change my DFD as such but always good to be closer to 0 than I thought I was.

    Good morning dear diary landers.

All is good here. No money is being spent except for what is budgetted for. Debt totals are static for the month now. All a bit boring but necessary.

The savings to the 'new house' currently stand at £1377. That won't change too much before August's pay. Given that we're already into August, I've now included saving forecast into October and hope to get to the 2.5k/2.75k mark savings wise. We won't be moving before November as it stands now (ie average move is 12 weeks, not that we have an offer or anything).

The savings will go towards fees for selling and buying (which are shoockingly high), new appliances as they won't be leaving any (if we get this place), furniture that we can't take with us and doesn't exist in the new place and decorating essentials. Not to mention the animals hay, straw/shavings, wood for repairs, feed and things I haven't thought of yet! Yes, I know, it's going to be expensive! I can't wait!
