Goodness me, it’s been ages since I have been able to get on here. With work not letting the website through and home being as busy as it is, I’ve just not had chance. So what’s been happening, we had the party of the century and it went fabulously I am pleased to report. We have officially warmed our house! Yes it cost me an entire month’s grocery budget and no I have no money for food until pay day, but it was worth it. Everyone had a lovely time. We have also been on a little jaunt for a few nights away which I enjoyed but then was ready to be home. A bit home sick! Money wise this month is pretty much damage limitation now however considering I have had to spend on some big unexpected items, it could be so much worse than it is. Father’s Day coming up and all sorted and paid for. I’ve also started the Christmas thoughts by inviting family over who don’t normally come to Christmas dinner. The kids have coincidentally given me some ideas for what they would like for Christmas and given it’s our first year, I’m making sure we all get what we would like, within reason. Eventually we’re moving to homemade gifts and this will play a big role in this year, but not for the kids’ gifts. I looked at transferring the loans I have left onto 0% cards but when you take in to account the fee I pay to pay it off early, the fee for the card to transfer and the fact that would only knock 2 payments off the life cycle, it didn’t seem worth it. Rather a case of, it’s not broken so don’t fix it. I have sold a kids coat on fleabay and the money from Textbr0ker came through so that covered some of the Father’s Day items. I won’t be writing for them this week as I am busy at work and preparing for another business trip. There isn’t always work for them anyway. My brain is very much thinking about how to move further into our self-sufficient lifestyle so that we’re less and less reliant on our incomes. We will of course always have the mortgage to pay so we will always need at least that and the council tax coming in. Could we make that in our own business? Who knows.

I'm afraid I'm not on here as often these days though I will continue to drop in as often as I can. It's purely as I can't access it until the end of the day and by then all I want to do it sleep :)
Everything is going really well though. I've found a local veg box scheme (well local ish) and started ordering from them and have lots growing in my veg plot so I am pleased. Shopping bill not lowered yet but we will get there!
    Hope everyone is well :)
