My new forecast taking into account the additional debt I've just incurred. The end minus figure is obviously good! I'm not putting the debt as a negative figure as I cba to faff on in my spreadsheets with it! In December of this year there should be an extra payment to make, so that's why there's a big decline in amount owed over that period. Fingers crossed anyway.

Right, part one of the new me done. This includes a happy hair cut and clean bathrooms! Neither of which offended me too much so that's good :D

Ah thanks both. I am almost tipping over the 50% mark. This next will go quicker than the first round so I am not wishing my life away whilst doing it, I think that's one of the big things I've learnt as before I was waiting for payday as soon as one had passed. Now I am trying to enjoy each day but the weird thing is, the days seem to be passing even quicker! :)

Happy Friday to everyone. This weekend should be reasonably cheap enough which is great. I have a lot of jobs planned, weather permitting and catching up with friends too. I'm going to try and get my weekend jobs done tonight (the boring ones like housework and washing) so that I can concentrate on seeds, animals and family (not always in that order) over the long weekend.

Happy 3 days off and I will be back Tuesday :)

It's Tuesday!! Hope everyone enjoyed a BH day off for those that had one!

Well the pay rise I got and allocated here and there has been wiped out in one foul swoop. Just as you think you're ok, something comes to make you realise you're not as ok as you thought you were!

The mortgage is due (part of it was ported when we moved) and they are saying that the only deal we're eligible for increases the mortgage my £250 a month. A month!!!!! A MONTH!!!! So when I dug into it, they are showing the L T V at a higher % than I work it out at (thanks g00gle). So I have sent an email off to my branch contact asking what I have done wrong to get such a difference in figures. I had us down as saving £50 a month!

So I await her response and I'll either be frantically rejigging the spreadsheet and acknowledging my error or kicking up a fuss at their methods. I suspect it may be a combination of both.

I was right - a bit of both.

So even though we only applied for a mortgage recently, they have changed what they think the property (any every other house in England) is worth and according to the bank, the house prices went down, so my L T V went up. Now when I g00gle it, house prices went up, so someone somewhere has made a c0ck up!

I tried ringing them but didn't get to speak to a person (no shock). According to their website they do this re-assessment of prices every month and the next one's due on 9th May so I will try again then to see what they can offer us, and then weekly until end July to see if anything better comes along.

Regardless of what happens, I can't see it being in my favour, so I'm now adjusting the spreadsheet to shave £50 off groceries each month and £150 from my savings. So much for having savings.

Back to being extremely frugal. I know I said I like a challenge but come on!
