Today has been really productive and it's made me feel good.

I guess I am the type of person who likes to see results, be it clothes put away, a clean house or work done.

A meeting 2-3 then I am free until 8 so plan on getting some riding, eating and animal time in before then, maybe even a bit of DH time too ;)

    Happy Friday diarylanders!

I have just realised I haven't posted an update for this month so here it is:

    Was £39302, now £19,127
DFD March 2018 (23 pay days to go).

I think because I am not making any overpayments at the moment, and it's all just going automatically, I'm not an excited by the totals which is sill as it is coming down in huge strides each month.

So this weekend should be a cheap one. I'm picking up some more farm animals but only ickle ones and they aren't costing me much. This is all future profit/future no need to spend. We have family coming over and are out for Sunday lunch which won't cost us, so a nice frugal weekend I think!

Shopping coming tonight which should last us another 2 weeks although that only takes us to the Friday and pay day isn't until the Monday after. Next few days meal plan is done and tonight we're having a family night in, but I will get some washing and cleaning done before sitting down (I won't get back up again if I do).

Feeling energised and positive, ready to kick some debt's butt and enjoy life.

Pay day is 2 weeks today and I have the usual grovery budget of £350 for next month's grocery. I need a new fence putting up (stay with me, it's related) and I know how much the timber will cost us to do that. We have a small weekly income from the farm which would take me 5 weeks to save, plus what's already in the pot. So being me, in order to make this happen sooner, I'm thinking where I can shave money from. The grocery budget. I have done it before and although I don't want to feel restricted in what we have in, I'm going to try and see if we can eat well and shave £50 off to savings.

If I plan well as normal, then we should be ok to manage this. It will still be too early to enjoy anything from the garden, so I won't make any savings there, yet.

Tonight is a pasta dish from b b c good food which I am becoming a fan of, and it's nice and quick.

This week I must put 2 chqs into the bank as they've been sat there for months. In fact, I hope they haven't expired. ~£150 of my own money, not housekeeping/farm money so it's important that I get it done. It'll go to the pot to repay my parents.

Tonight I am going to spend an hour sorting through my wardrobe too as I've put it off since we moved in and it's a right mess. So home, animals, tea (inc make snack treats and maybe a quiche), kids school updates/homework, wardrobe, animals away, relax. I wonder if any of that happens as I plan it to? :D

Pasta dish was lovely so I will be adding that to the menu for a few weeks time. I didn't get round to the wardrobe as didn't stop and the hours just disappear before me, so that job has rolled over to today!
I have checked all account this morning and everything is in order. Due to an error in my favour I will be £340 up this month meaning I will not need to wait to get the fencing done and we can start that as soon as is physically possible.
Tonight is an easy and frugal one pot dish of chicken, bacon and potato.
Today I have studying all day so will get the odd job done in between when I take a few eye breaks.

Great news on the fencing! Post and rail or stock fencing?

Post and rail which will match the other 2 we have put in since being here though all previous fences are stock. I have electric fencing coming out of my ears atm and it doesn't lend itself to remaining sturdy in the current weather so I can't wait to get it replaced. I don't trust it, or more so the ponies, one bit when I turn my back!

Depending on what else we will use the paddock for, I may need to incorporate a bit of both and add some mesh/wire on at a later date (ie chickens).

For the pigs, a top security prison will be needed ! That's being put off until the summer now for various (sensible) reasons.

I've had a happy morning of soaking up more information ready for the *shhh, e x a m* which is approaching far too quickly. A couple of emails to do now, early lunch, animals sorted and prepped for tonight, then back to it this afty. I may listen to some YouTube videos too, online learning. I will be more than happy when I get through this one. It's weighing me down!

    Morning diary.

More study work on the card this morning but not at home so there will be distractions (out of my controls type!). After that I have a quick meeting and a task to do before lunch.

I've brought lunch in again, yey, and then this afternoon I have a list of tasks to work through.

It is raining non stop here. Although it is annoying as we can't do certian things on the farm as normal, I'm going to use it to get indoor jobs done. Yesterday's sorting of clothes etc is finished, thank God and today I am going to start getting the paperwork organised.

Hearty stew for tea tonight. This weather need comfort food!

I love it, everything I hoped it would be and more :)

To be honest, at the moment at least, the debt is ticking over and taking care of itself. I pay what I have to each month, a little over maybe, but I told myself I would save what I was previously overpaying and once I have enough to make a decent payment but keep enough in the pot in case we need it, then I will make a payment.

However funnily enough, this morning as I was walking in to work, I was thinking that March 2018 is going to be here before we know it, so even if I don't make overpayments (who knows) then it's not THAT bad. Although the reason I started thinking about that was because my mind wandered on to what I will be able to buy once the debt's paid off! So realistically, my brain is still thinking how quick can I do it!! LOL.

I'm going to employ the same strategy with our loan. Just keep saving up and if we have enough to pay it off early then we will. It finishes in April 2020. I'd like to be debt free before then but I'd also like to not worry about money for once and enjoy life. Xx
