This morning is flying by. Work is enjoyable at the moment, I'm starting to have a clearer understanding of what my new role (changed as at Jan 1) entails and so far, so good.
I have an item to get finished before going out to lunch today to meet my mum, then this afternoon I will get on with the next task and try to fit a couple of hours studying in.
News should be in about the bonus soon too. Stupidly I have worked out what I *should* get based on what someone else who likes to brag, got. Considering they stand around chatting for most of the day, I will be most annoyed if I don't get the same!!
I'm here late today, then tonight I have 2 home jobs I'd like to make headway on but Tuesday's are so busy for me that I'm not sure I will be able to. We will see.Debt - CCV £3792

I'm giving some serious consideration to moving my loans to a new provider as I can get them cheaper elsewhere. Part of me thinks leave it alone and it will just run its course and if I move it, something will no doubt go wrong, but why pay more if you don't have to.Debt - CCV £3792

They are with the same company and the reason they are separate is due to taking out at different times but the 2nd one had a better rate so I kept it separate, as if they added it to the first one, it would have been on the first one's higher rate.
I checked with them for a settlement figure yesterday and they add an early repayment charge, which means when taking this in to account, I would be £20 better off a month only, and still have the same end date. I know £20 is £20 but I don't think it's worth the hassle so I'm leaving it as it is for now.
Still have a sick household today. Poor things.
Grocery wise, we're doing well except running out of fruit. Next time I will have to order more. Really pleased with how it is going though. 1 more week until the next month's delivery. I'll get it on the Thursday as the Friday is Good Friday.Debt - CCV £3792

Happy new week
A week closer to debt freedom though I don't like that the weeks are flying round so quickly to be fair.
Right. I make a large payment out every couple of months and receive a friend's share of back into my account every week. Sounds a strange set up, but animal related. Won't go in to it on here
Anyway, if I can afford the large payment out of my own money, that means that I can use her repayment money to go straight into my small CC account meaning I will be able to pay it off by the end of this year and then use it to hack away at the new 0% CC from next year.
This is great news.
March is nearly over and with one thing and another has been quite a spendy month so April will be all about being frugal. However, having said that, my grocery delivery for April is coming on Thursday, and this one needs to last me 5 weeks and include an Easter meal for my family coming over. So a big test!Debt - CCV £3792

I've worked out what's coming in from what I mentioned above. Using this money, I will be able to pay off the rogue CC (residual from BT to 0%) at the end of November.
Not ideal just before Christmas as the money will be much needed elsewhere, however I have also added a column to my spreadsheet showing what's left over each month(not a lot!) after everything's gone out. Mind you, this is normally taken up with birthday presents, unexpected items and so on which is a case of !!!! happens. I have a budget for all sorts and I'm not starting to work out too many what ifs.
Additionally I may have £362 separately which would go straight to the beast credit card.
Finally I have monthly savings (separate again) that is for paying for home related things in advance that aren't part of the household budget, but more the farm budget. Anything left over there will go to savings too, to bump up the £362.
So on paper, it's going well but let's see what ideas life has to throw in the mixDebt - CCV £3792

Seriously, people are curious. I've just had a conversation with someone who were saying how it's only a certain type of common person who buy 2nd hand clothes and other items and that I shouldn't judge them because they attended an event where 2nd hand items were on sale. I actually didn't respond at all. I was in disbelief and they were too busy talking about themselves to notice I hadn't participated in the 'conversation'.Debt - CCV £3792

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:at the above! I'd imagine a good 75% of what I buy for me and my little one is second hand. It helps having a mother that's addicted to charity shops lol! I can't believe the amount of Joules (my guilty pleasure!), Boden, Ted Baker etc she manages to find. I've got her well trained!
I guess hand me downs and second hand aren't like they used to be i.e. worn to death. It's such a throw away society nowadays that a lot of the stuff we buy has hardly been worn. This persons either got money to burn or was secretly knitted out head to toe in second hand but would hate you to know it lol!0
