    Morning diary land.

Everything is quiet debt wise, I'm ticking over and not making any huge payments until I know what's going on with the house as I could do with a bit in the bank for fees and so on.

I got my new car yesterday. An emotional goodbye to the old one which I've had just over 2 years and a warm welcome to the little run around that will hopefully see me through into the new house and keep our costs down in the mean time too. I love it. Just what we need in all honesty.

Still waiting on a viewing on the house though. We've worked out what we can take for it should we get a viewing so more sitting tight now. I must go through and get it back ship shape again as it's took a battering this week bless it. I'll do that tonight as no yard tonight. I'm going to visit my nana with the kids then will get home and get that done too so we can start Saturday off well.

In fact, I might go to Ald1 tonight too.

Good news with the car, that should help to keep costs down and peace of mind that you have money towards the house sale :)

Thanks hun. Rather annoyingly, it cut out over the weekend and has had problems since with cutting out on start up and then not starting. Needless to say, I will be heading over there to get it sorted but it's a PITA to be frank. I do love the car, it's great and appears to be economical compared to my old one (not hard!). So I will keep you posted.

House wise, nothing's changed - still waiting for a viewing on our place so can we have lots of positive vibes for that please :) ?

Tonight I must clean out the pantry as there is a dodgy smell in there!!

Oh no that is a pain, you have my complete sympathy with the car, hopefully it will be something simple.
I've just sent you a truck full of positive viewing vibes so you should be over-run with viewers trampling over each other to get into the house :D

Well the car is in the shop and I've not heard anything from them so no idea what's happening there. I've got a courtesy car so I'm not worrying too much.

Our house has been reduced by 10k in an effort to get some viewings as we have still not had any.

I feel like my diary is being neglected! Poor thing.

So this morning I have got my car back and it seems to be working ok though time will tell as it seemed ok last time I got it back too. Before taking it in to the place I filled it up and it only took £41 which was amazing - my old one used to take £90 ish and would go through that in 10 days! So needles to say I've reset the clock to see how many miles I will get from it. I'll work out my basic milage a week and then will have a better idea of fuel budget for the coming months. I've already had a guess so fingers crossed I am right.

I'm toying with the idea of completing a floor plan for the house as the EA don't offer the service but I can give them one to advertise. It's been up 3 weeks tomorrow and I honestly expected to have some viewings by now. Every day that passes is a day that the other couple may get a sale on their place and be in a position to move forward.

I've updated my spreadsheet to show the CC just having £100 paid to it a month instead of what I've been paying as I will need to save a bit towards fees and things and have some cash in the bank for the inevitable that will occur should the sale go ahead. If it doesn't this time, then I can send it over to the CC at a later date. With that in mind, my DFD is going to change by 3 months at least but nothing is for sure yet - everything is just in limbo.

We have pencilled in a booking to finalise the mortgage application on 25th July with a view to instructing the valuer/surveyor at a later date (as there is a cost immediately there). The mortgage advisor suggested, that but if we have no interest then I'm going to put it back a month. We pencilled it in as she is booked up a month in advance.

In the mean time, day to day tasks are the same, trying to cook well though we failed dramatically at the weekend and DH bought us a take away. I've brought lunch in every day this week except today so I will grab some soup or something from work later. I need to pop out and check the car at lunch time anyway - plus go to the cash machine.

    Morning diary land.

Well the car was fine lunch time on Thursday. Shame it wasn't after work!!! Grr. I now have a very feminine loan car whilst the garage has it back to run over a few days to see if they can replicate the problem, which they didn't manage to last week. Maybe they will call me today with good news.

House sale wise, we're still waiting for the phone to ring to say someone would like to view your house, nothing doing yet. I haven't lost any faith though.

Today sees me starting my healthy eating again. I completely gave up a few months back and made a half hearted attempt at it last week but this week the decision has been made. I have a stone to lose and want to get a bit fitter, especially if we're going to get this place (or another) as there will be a lot of physical work to do on it.

Work wise I am hoping for a quieter week to catch up on emails and get organised again. I have my exam in October which I must knuckle down for again now that work's crazy period is over with.

Normal home wise, I've remembered to get the chicken out of the freezer for tea, so that's a good start! I have a salad brought in for lunch and haven't brought my purse so no money can be spent, not that I do now anyway.

I'm speaking with Mam tomorrow lunch time and I think we will sort out her clearing the small (2.5k small) CC which I mentioned on here before. Feel bad that she is doing it but also I know she doesn't mind so trying not to beat myself up about it.

  • Shame about the car, fingers crossed the garage can sort once and for all.
I can't believe it's been 3 weeks since you put the house up, I thought it had only been just over a week !! Time is going by without me !
Fingers tightly crossed that your first viewer will come along soon and put in full offer and you will not have had to deal with the fuss of lots of viewings :)

I know, I must admit it's frightening how quickly it's going past. The thing is that then worries me as it's another day/week that the other people can get to sell theirs too. I just hope it's going to work out for us. We dropped the price 10k which is the most we will drop by and I hoped that would bring people in but the weekend has passed (we dropped it a week ago) and no one has rang yet following weekend drive bys! It's hard to remain positive but I am trying.

Mam has confirmed lunch tomorrow so at least I can go through everything with her and hopefully sort out the CC transfer.

It will be 4 weeks on Friday coming that we've been for sale. I might ask the agents about selling with someone else too. They have sole adertising for a good while but it may chivvy them along a bit.
