Thanks for popping in :) I had a lovely lunch break and caught a few rays chilling for 5 mins. The rest of the week I work through lunch but Tuesday's are SO long for me. I've spent this one being distracted by properties sent to me via email !

I've signed up to a bank rewards thing that Martin suggested on the main site - I get £7 cash for them taking £3 off me a month. Can't be bad. So I won't miss the £3 and therefore now have extra £7 a month to send over to CC.

My payment for mileage should be through soon and that will be going straight over too. Apx £97.

I need to get DD's put me over shoes tonight as T£sco didn't have any in last night. DS's "cheap" shoes were £20!

Things aren't going quickly enough for me! I need to make more money now :D:D:D:D

Well some unexpected things happening in my household! We are getting our property valued later today and are going to view a property tomorrow. We were going to see one on Saturday too but have cancelled that as there isn't enough land. Last night we stalked, ahem, drove past the one we're going to see tomorrow a few times and fell even more in love with it that we did from the pictures. We thought the location would put us off as it's a bit far out compared to our comfort zone but it wasn't an issue at all. After 2 days I have no negative feelings which I normally do after 1 sleep when I've come back down to earth and we have not been able to find any issues with the house/land that we have with all of the other places we've "found" over the years.

So for these reasons we're getting ours valued and pending the internal viewing of the house we will put ours on the market (assuming the valuer says we can get what we need for it). I have a meeting with the mortgage adviser on Wednesday and pending that we will put an offer in. So now I am past myself as I don't think we will be able to get what we need with the debt I have. There are possible options but none of them I like (borrowing off mam and her keeping quiet about it plus others) but hey ho, I do like a challenge and if it's meant to be, it will. If not, stick to plan A.

    Thank you :)

So valuation last night and we got the price we hoped for though obviously it's only worth what someone will pay for it and not what EA says! Then viewing the one we like tonight - looking forward to it hugely. If we like it I will instruct the EA we are using to put ours on the market straight away and they said it's a 24 hours turn around to do that so we cold potentially be on the market Tuesday.

Mortgage woman on Wednesday so I'm getting my ducks in a row for that.

Needless to say no money is being spent at the moment!!!

Work is busy, busy which is helping as I am very impatient.

Wow well the property was so fantastically amazing, we both fell head over heels for it. It has everything we have ever talked about to start on the self sufficient lifestyle and to have the horses at home plus look at other incomes from the land and animals. No kidding, I felt like I had lived there before. It was like it was meant to be. The people were lovely. We were there for an hour and 40 minutes and they talked the whole time showing us the land, the buildings, everything. Amazing and anyone (hopefully us) who lives there will be very lucky.

However there is unfortunately a reality check once I got home. Basically getting a large mortgage with the debt I have is going to be a nightmare and possibly not an option. However I've spoken to a broker on the phone today and really gelled with her, previously I hated a broker I spoke to - arrogant woman who told my DH she thought he was wrong in how much he earns a year as he is "only" a (insert job title here)!

So reasonably positive chat with new broker (previous one was many many moons ago) and she is coming to meet me tomorrow to see what we can do. We're stretched in what we want given my debt but we have a plan A, B etc and after all - that's what she is paid for. We only pay if we proceed with her too.

My house is on the market as of this evening/tomorrow morning and there's a For Sale board going up in line with that timing too. We've put an offer in on the new place (yes, before we're offered a mortgage but someone else has offer to and are in same situ so now we've put the offer in we're level pegging) and now I am waiting to hear back to see if it's been accepted.

Yes, this is not the way I planned it and yes, it's going to be a stressful time but it appears plans always have to be flexible!

    I'll keep you posted!

Oh wow amazingly exciting times ahead for you !

I really hope everything works out with the mortgage, I know it's not the way you planned but if you don't have a go you may forever be wishing you had tried, so fingers crossed your broker can work the figures for you or buy a lottery ticket :rotfl:

Isn't it funny how life throws us these curveballs just when we're getting on track ! I'm still trying to decide what to do now that the house I like has been reduced which is why I'm not setting foot in it until I can make my mind up as I know I too will fall in love :)

I always tell my dh we only live once and never know what's coming around the corner so if you have to move with debts at least it's into your dream home :)

Thank you and you are so right - I will just need to update the spreadsheet to suit. I KNOW that regardless I will pay this weight around my neck off, it just may be under different circumstances!

Well you have nothing to lose by seeing if you can get the mortgage and if not, why not? I probably shouldn't say that!
