Hi stranger!!! Lovely to see you posting and to hear from you! I can't believe it's been so long since you became DF. It's scary how quickly it's passed, but it also means I will be DF in no time (581 days to be precise!) lol.

The horses are wonderful thank you. I love them being out though small pony demolished his rug last night so I need to get the duct tape out and see if it's fixable! No money in the pot for rugs. It's only a l/w TO but I wanted it on a few more days as he's not weathered to outdoors yet plus is still clipped.

Just a quick update to say I think my scales are broken as they are reading that I have lost 1 stone 3lb. I did get off and on 5 times and moved them round, in case I was on some dodgy piece of uneven floor.

I have also decided I best put a colour on my hair as the grey's are a lot more prominent than I care for. I've been a couple of years without colour now so I've done well I think. I'll probably pick one up tonight and also some razors (tmi, sorry!) as holidays are fast approaching and mine are all used up!

    Morning :)

I've been on a course for the last couple of days so not had change to do anything money related or diary related. This also means I've not spent anything. I think I can claim mileage too so will investigate. The course will help me down the alternate career path. It's still in the area I work in overall, but specialising on a different subject.

Can you believe the student loan company actually got it right??? My wages have gone up by £160 a month which is the amount they used to take off me, obviously. So that means that I can now pay them manually and close out what I owe them in the next 3 months/payments. Then that £160 goes straight to debt as per my forecast. Things are ticking over according to plan.

I've gone slightly over food and fuel budget this month but not by much so I'm pleased with that. We've also got plenty in so not feeling short of anything.

Right - work to do given I've been away for 2 days. I can feel I am slowing down for my holiday (fly a week on Sunday) and I shouldn't be - need to stay engaged!

It appears to be pay day! It's early due to the bank holiday.

Updates then - the grey hair has started to become a bit too noticable - thanks for pointing that out DH and lovely kids! So I've decided to colour it again. Pre horses and in debt (who would have thought I managed to get into debt before paying for horses and now I'm managing to get out of debt and pay for horses)....anyway, I used to get it coloured every 4 weeks and I hated shelling out for it, let alone sitting in the hairdressers. So end result, I coloured it myself and went darker then stopped colouring it when I match my natural colour. Now I'm getting the sly grey's coming through I'm considering going lighter again. Yes I may regret this and no I won't listen. I'm annoyingly stubborn, even to myself.

I also treat myself to a tan in a bottle when I bought the hair dye so I don't feel quite so bright white when I go on holiday. A bit of colour rather than the unhealthy corned beef look is all I'm after. So that's tonight's plan. Tomorrow I may be in a hat a full body suit if it all goes wrong :)

This lovely long weekend will be spent getting the last bits together required for holiday, getting DS's birthday things together as it's his birthday whilst we're away and I think we'll do a bit of baking too.

Horsey wise things are settled with mine, which is lovely to say. Unfortunately we've had a couple of colic incidents due to spring turn out and one is on going now. I'm waiting to hear how he is but as he's not mine and I don't know them too well. I'm staying out of it and waiting to here. Lovely horse though, fingers crossed he pulls through.

OK so money wise next week's forecast is this:

    £28345 made up of:
£398 Student loan - 2 more payments to go!
    £2480 rogue CC
    £6124 CCV
    £9883 Loan 1
    £9460 Loan 2

I've put it in as a forecast as the money doesn't go out until different times of the week. CCV was due to be sub 6k by the end of May but I have the airport parking to pay for and I need some Stockholm tar and bits and pieces so I'm not going to risk skinting myself. Especially after a holiday treat of tan and hair colour!

In good news though, my lovely Mam who has been an amazing support through this, has offered to pay the rogue CC off for me in August time. I feel guilty about this but I'm sure elated too as that's a huge chunk gone.

Taking into account the rogue CC going then this is the forecast for the rest of the year. It's based on giving every penny I have not accounted for elsewhere to debt. That's probably unrealistic, as some of that will end up needing to go to things like school shoes and so on but even so, it's good to put stakes in the ground.

Based on the fact that life doesn't always go to plan - this forecast shows me as DF with October's pay. However I'm keeping it as DF with Dec's pay to have that emergency allowance if/when I need to shell out for unexpected items.

Getting slightly excited and carried away - I'm now thinking should I look to put the house up for sale in August / September when everything should look pretty thanks to summer. It takes a while for things to happen, the estate agents to get us up for sale, people to view, offers to be made and negotiated (if any) and then for us to find somewhere. Even if we did all that immediately - it takes circa 12 weeks from start to finish if nothing goes wrong so that would take us into early 2017. Now Winter isn't a good time to move but it means we could start the year in a new place hopefully. How exciting.
