    Happy Friday !

Keeping on eye on work and one eye on the election. Only 8 seats short now. Our local MP is still the same guy though but that was to be expected.

Anyway in work news I've just had a follow up meeting with the guy I approached to ask if he had any work going. The good news is yes, the bad news is they haven't the budget to pay for me. The then good news is I could be put forward for his job when he retires but the bad news is I need to do the work in the mean time whilst being paid from my current role and figure out how to split my time. It's all for the same company so not an issue you would think. Well, different money pots. So next week I will speak with my current boss and update her (she knows already that this is going on) and see if we can plan something out. I have a good feeling about it so watch this space.

    Good Morning

Well a funny old weekend and week so far. Let's recount the good bits.

My kitchen is sparkling clean and organised (to look at ;) ) and the front room is too. They look "proper" for a change. The dining room is still another story but hey ho.

DD and pony are having an amazing time. I can't begind to describe how their confidence is growing together and team work is thriving. What a fabulous time she has been having with him. Proud of both of them.

I jumped the big girl the other night after so much time off and she loved it. It was not dusty inside and there was no haze resulting in no cough so the timing was perfect. She's pretty much living out now so that will be having a huge impact. Pony is almost living out too - bringing him in fro a few hours to stop him eating and getting fat, cresty and laminitis. Trying to do the right thing.

A friend of mine, good friend actually, bought me a notepad with a saying on the front about becoming rich and this is my plan (the notebook contents). Although I don't want to be rich in the sense most people think, I do in the sense of having our own little farm and living the good life. I'm going to use it as my thoughts and idea book for moving house. Printing things off, cuttings from magazines. It's only small but even so I'll make it work. It can act as a memory bank for years to come. Love that idea.

Right - study until 12 then audits this afternoon. Tea is either fishcakes with salad or the "meat" that's defrosting with"something" once I determine what the meat is ;) No yard tonight :( as it's my long working day.

Lovely to hear dd and pony are coming along :)
The notebook is a great idea, I think that's another idea I will 'borrow' from you :D
I feel the same re being rich, for me being rich and successful isn't about how much money you have in the bank or a great job, huge house, it's about having a happy family and having/doing the things that make you happy :)
Good luck with the meat ! :)

Thank you :) I have started thinking of ideas that I would like for my notebook - will print a couple of things off when I have some down time. Random things like I would like copper bottomed saucepans and a window seat that I can see the horses from.

Study morning went well. I have finished the chapter in this book which I was aiming for. I have another book on the subject so I'll have a look through that at some point too. In the mean time I am going to print all the notes I have made and put them in my file, then do some mock tests on the chapter to see how I am fairing up. I have decided to print one "Quick hit" a day and have it with me to read over and over and hope that it sticks with me. For things that I struggle to remember I mean.

Money wise all is quiet which is good. I've put £40 diesel in this morning and went shopping as normal at the weekend. Nothing else planned.

I'm hoping to slow life down a bit now as the horses are living out so I won't have as much to do. Maybe get some pondering time. We go on holiday shortly so we are all looking forward to that - hopefully some chill out time then.

Another quiet one money wise. School needed £6 for kids party disco but I've taken that from DH's stash.

Yesterday I printed out a lovely picture of a girl's bedroom (not kiddified) and added that to my notepad as DD would love it. One wall of a pitched roofed room was made into a full wall of bookcase and in the middle of the bookcase was a window seat with a lovely big window built in. It is stunning and somewhere for DD to keep all of her books and trinkets.

I also printed another window seat as it's something I've always wanted in the kitchen of my house. We can't do it where we are now, it'd be pointless but definitely will in the next. In this window seat the walls of the window recess are all book cases too, so my recipe books and current reading could all go in there too.

It's lovely to allow your mind to dream. It's left me with a warm and cosy feeling.

Tonight I have one chicken supreme and one pack of prawns out of the freezer - all we had left. I have no idea what to do with them yet. It needs to be heatlhy so I'll go online and look. Not sure if we have any noodles or could do a chinese soup.

Working tonight for 2 hours and I need to run the hoover round and do a bit of ironing at some point otherwise it will end up like it was last week when I could have cried!

    Window seat sounds lovely :)
I'm dreaming of a little room filled with bookcases and a comfy sofa in the middle, a mini library just for me :)

oooh that sounds lovely, I can't wait to have a lovely kitchen again, we spend most of our time in it so I want it to be spacious and comfortable, our old house had a lovely kitchen with a range cooker which I really miss and will be the first thing I buy when we move :D

You are doing so well in your debt busting - well done. And it sounds like all going well with the horses.

It is much easier (and slightly cheaper) when they go out. Even my nesh TB is living out at the moment.
