    A slower day today. I don't feel 100% which isn't helping.

I'm getting £97 expenses for mileage from the course I've just done. I didn't realise I was going to so that will be going straight to the CC too.

I'm just about to attend a meeting and got my notes out to update from last month. It's a pretty new meeting, so I thought, then I realised as I altered the date, I've been doing it for 5 months. Time does go quickly.

    Morning diary land.

I can feel my body slowing down in anticipation for the holiday on Sunday. I'm trying to ignore it and get my work done whilst remaining motivated. Easier said than done!

I've had a couple of surveys through this morning and instead of deleting them, I've completed them, so hopefully I will start to get a few pennies from those too.

Expenses have been approved. Not sure when they will be paid though but they will go straight over to the CC.

Everything else is quiet at the moment.

    Mornign diary landers :)

Well I have pretty much ground to a halt work wise but I made it to Friday at least! So this morning I need to finish a few small tasks to issue to people before I leave at 12. I'll keep running my reports that need analysing so that they are ready for analysis when I return (don't want to think about that just yet!).

I need to write today's to do list as it's going to be a busy one. I won't be back on here so I won't list it out here. All pre holiday things though. I'm only away for a week!

Right off to check accounts and get list wrote, do jobs and count down until 12!

So exciting, can't wait to relax in the sun and watch the kids playing like kids should!

    Good morning - just!

Well we're back after a lovely break. We went to Lanzar0te which was very nice and we had a fabulous time. The place was very clean and the food was great (though I never truly enjoy All Inc. food, despite it being nice) and the kids loved it. It was a bit cooler than we're used to, in fact cold on a night, but all in all it was nice.

So today, you will totally understand the post holiday feeling! Mind you, I always feel rearing to go after a good holiday too, so despite the post holiday blues, I am feeling determined.

I feel like we have started the next chapter. We won't be having an beach holiday again until I am DF. I say beach as we will holiday in the UK and may take the tunnel to France but the first is minimal cost and the latter depends on a lot of things. So the next time we do a beach family holiday will probably be in the new place, or very close to it!

So what's happened since I last updated.

£150 spent on holiday - in budget (I think).
I've come back to work to be told I need to go to States next month and no financial reward for it - feel physically sick at the thought (hate flying & leaving family and animals).
I still have to go to States in October too.
I will have 2 weeks plus a day off in August just to be off with the family and animals :)
I have SHED loads of work to do in the next two weeks and I mean **** loads.
I have received an email from someone who approached me a month ago re a job in the 'local' city (apx 1h commute) asking what salary they would need to pay to get me to interview, as I turned them down last time due to salary. I've added 12k to their offer (which is apx 15k pay rise).
The internal job move that I was hoping for has only positive things to say from my week off. I'm helping out and getting involved there, so effectively working 1.5 jobs at the moment but that's okay. I need to keep focused on this as it could be the answer to my problems.
Problem above being I am still out of a job at some point in 2016 (they say they will find me something else but they 'say' a lot.....)
In order to keep my options open, resume studying for exam in October which I haven't done for 2 weeks due to holidays.

    House and home wise
House is tidy and clean - I'm going to try and keep it that way.
Kids needs new shoes desperately - as in today. They only have 6 weeks left at school so I think T£sco own will have to do.
I need a shop - we have little in the pantry and fridge so I'll pop to Ald1 tonight and get some bits in. We need a healthy week after the indulgences of last week!

This will do for now, I feel better already for posting!

Firmly back to earth with a bump! My long working day today and I started with a razor sharp sore throat late last night which is still here with me now. I've just popped to pain killers and hope it goes off as now is not the time to be poorly - far too much to do.

Work wise, today I have 2 tasks - 1 not too big and one gigantic. I'll get the smaller one done and out of the way and make a start on the big one. I'm aiming to have the big one done by Friday. I'd also like to fit in an hour's revision a day. That's not a lot in the grand scheme of things but I need to find a balance until end of June when all projects are due. I'm also forcing myself to take an hour out at lunch time and sit outside for 30 mins to get some fresh air/put the washing out etc.

I've put the DW and washer on timers so they will be done for lunch time and still fresh and I'll do that over lunch when I pop home.

School shoes from t£sco were £19! They didn't have any for DD typically, so that was just for one pair!! I'll get her another pair in the online sale hopefully. I did a mini shop at T£sco whilst I was there - that place scares the life out of me compared to Ald1! So big and so much to buy!

Quick check of accounts then back to it.

Also I have a cheeky viewing on a property on Saturday. It's a lovely house but not that much land compared to what we initially wanted. We shall see, all we have to lose is time.

Glad to hear you had lovely holiday :)
ooh a cheeky viewing on a property :) I've been thinking of doing that myself but I'm scared I'll fall in love

Hopefully your week in the States will be busy with work and the time will fly by and you'll be back home before you know it :)

Good idea to force a lunch break on yourself, that's also something I never do, dh is always telling me off but it's easier to just work through the day isn't it.

Fingers crossed you get some good news on the job front soon :)
