    46. Another black dress going to recycling.

I was watching a YouTube video the other day and the woman was saying how you should develop your own style and base your clothes around that. I prefer dresses to trousers and I like dark, deep colours so I am going to make sure anything I buy is like that as there is no point buying something and never wearing it.:D

Totally agree, I love Edwardian clothes, and watching Testament of Youth at the weekend, realised I loved long skirts, I've got plenty of material so thinking I could make one

A mans scarf .... its vile.

A torch and its adaptor. (The rechargeable batteries cost more to replace than a replacement torch so its out!).

So far- some random bits of paperwork and packaging binned, tatty looking socks, pants and tops binned/ragged and a pair of pjs and couple tops I just don't wear in to CS bag. Random 'stocking filler items' in good condition on to CS bag too.

Ironing is done and put away which has de-cluttered where it was piling up :rotfl:
On to the linen and toiletries cupboard, see what can go and if we need any top ups of stuff..

    UPDATE @1.20pm
1 x towel for rags, silky cushion cover and matching throw CS bag, 2 x old bath mats binned along with the old marked (why I kept it I don't know) oil table cloth.
Lunch break and then starting downstairs.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Didn't have time to update yesterday but did do some more sorting. Still in our bedroom and out went -
    130 - Green top - c/s
    131 - Long skirt - c/s
    132 - Grey top - c/s
    133 - Empty air freshener - bin
    134 - Photograph album - daughter
    135 - Several coat hangers - c/s
    137 - 136 2 Mens shirts - c/s
    138 - Gipsy style skirt - c/s
    139 - Empty glass jars - recycling
    141/140 - 2 white blouses - c/s
    142 - Grey trousers - c/s

On to the blanket chest that contains anything but blankets tomorrow. Cant actually remember what is in there as there has been that much junk piled on the top of it, it was impossible to open. So first job tomorrow is to take everything off and put it in spare room while I sort out the chest. (may sound a daft way to do it as surely going through the stuff on top would be better firstly but that's the way I work) :rotfl:
Really need to dust in the bedroom but will leave that until everything has ceased being thrown out of cupboards, corners and other hiding places and stirring up the dust. IT'S A MESS but it wont be soon. Cant wait till bedroom finished then on to next room.
Recycling bin also gone out today ready to be emptied and the charity shop now have what was for them so its definitely gone and cant be sneaked back out of the bags. As if I would . . .:D

Quick update before I start work
    147. Plastic bags - recycled (I reuse them for bin liners but went through them and recycled the holey ones / ones that are too small

    148. The worlds biggest cardboard box - flattened & recycled. I had this on top of my chest of drawers but the weight of clothes inside it has burst the box :( Have turfed it out over the last few weeks and decluttered, some of it has gone back into smaller boxes that stack neatly. Still got a way to go on the clothes but it's a bit less depressing to look at now.

    149. Eye makeup remover wipes - binned. Forgot about these and they've dried out.

150 & 151 two ebay parcels posted. Small items for small money but I'm not complaining...

152 Lip balm - bin. It really goes against the grain for me to chuck out toiletries but this was so agressively minty that it actually made my lips sting. I've been trying to use it up but I think it's making my lips drier than without using it, so what's the point?

    153. Broken wristwatch. Not economical to repair and I don't even like it so....bin.

Also a few more bits gone into charity shop/clothes bank bags but won't count these until they actually go.

I am having real problems sorting out some old videos, some bought and some I've recorded myself.

I have replaced some of my favourites with DVD's but it would be wasteful to do that to all of them, and a lot of them I just wouldn't find again. I do sometimes look in charity shops to see if they have them on DVD but never find any.

I've removed any duplicates to go to the charity shop - but have struggled to find any that I'd not want to watch again in the future.

They all fit in one cupboard but I'd struggle to get at some of them. The cupboard is the depth of two videos (lengthways) one behind the other and there are no shelves.

    Any ideas?

    47. I have a liquid black eyeliner that I tried to put on today and I am useless at doing it. I looked at myself in a bright daylight mirror and I would like to be a beautifully made up goddess but it's clearly not me. It was binned.:D I will stick to my brown eye pencil very blended in.
