    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
.... I've bought two (£29.99 each in B&M). One is for my recycling boxes and bags. I'm waiting for new ones as they blew away in last week's gales. The front of my house will look so much neater.....
That's exactly what I have outside my back door. I use it to hold my plastic and glass for recycling but not papers as they get damp. Those I keep in the cleaning cupboard in box.

    Today
    • 1. scarf cs
    • 2. gloves cs
    • 3. set of 2 glasses in a box (new) cs
    • 4. jumper - too itchy cs
    • 5. spiral notebook cs
    • 6/7 put all lo chocs in one box and rc the other two
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

Oh I am so cross tonight.

As mentioned yesterday, carpet was to be put down in children's room this afternoon.

Us having disassembled the bunk frame yesterday,2 kids slept on mattresses on the floor last night. After they went to school I dragged their mattresses into OH and my room (because we all know it has PLENTY of space ,what with being an average-size double bedroom, already containing a double mattress on the floor,a double IKEA PAX wardobe,4 chest of drawers,2 Trofast vertical storage frames,a bedside table,an airing cupboard door, assorted plastic boxes containing worldly posessions, and an airing cupboard door and a room door, both waiting to be re-attached when this carpet is finally laid icon_rolleyes.gif).

I got a phone call from carpet place an hour before I was expecting my carpet to arrive,to say the driver who had been delivering it to my city from the factory had had an emergency and had to turn back home..Of course I hope everything is ok for him,but this is the second time this particular delivery of carpet has been postponed.
So then there was the time/work of dragging both mattresses back into their room, making them up,etc.Tomorrow I will be doing it all again , [STRIKE]with the promise [/STRIKE]in the hope of delivery actually occurring.`

What does everyone do with the "heavier" shopping bags? Not grocery bags, but the thicker ones (LIDL,M+S,many high-street stores)?Today Google told me that my local Morrisons has a recycling centre,so I loaded them all up and drove there, only to find that the recycling corner there hasn't existed for over a year!Morrison's website needs an update.

Apart from clearing the bedroom for carpet, and trying to declutter a large collection of plastic bags, the only real decluttering done was :
2: a large plastic bag full of Christmas I-have-just-finished-5 hours-of-wrapping-presents-now-since-it-is-4am-I-am-going-to-bed tat:rolls of sticky tape, scissors, shopping bags,a couple of small unused stocking-fillers.

Added a few more bits to the charity pile. Will list those when they leave the house (will also list the plastic bags when they finally go.They are definitely not coming back into the house, for now they are in the car. This afternoon I was so cross I nearly chucked them in the bin (I don't like throwing away plastic bags, especially these thick ones that have no chance of breaking down).

The other thing I made a start on was an ironing basket.Currently it contains 6 copies of a newspaper that has a photo of one of my kids in, kids drawings, cards,a tie, hundreds of odd socks, some years old icon_eek.gif, an extremely old, fallen apart expanding folder, with many out of date papers, that I have not referred to for years. Some are financial papers and I will keep, others need recycling,so made a start on that.Only a small dent made into that (more like a ding, really :o),so I won't count that, even for the amount of paper that did leave the house.

Going to make a cuppa and skim through some old newspaper magazine insert thingies. Will count those as decluttered when I have thrown out the last one.

    .
Soo sorry about all the troubles with your carpets and hope it's all soon sorted .

The thick carriers I would donate to the cs, especially some of the small ones, as now people are having to pay for them I imagine they will be getting less. Not the big ones as they have their own. Hth

    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
I'm joining back in this year please? :-) I've done odds and sods but is looking like I'm having a snow day today, waahoooo  will be gutted if I end up not doing! So I have decided the house needs a good clean and organise which I can do if I am going to be having a snow day. I'm going to be very (not brutal but I can't think of the word I need!) and do a sell, CS and rubbish/top pile and then not have it sat around for ages, it will go! We just have so much stuff and quite a bit will be upgraded when we get married in September. Plus I quite like the organised homely look and lots and lots of stuff doesn't fit in to that. Will try and keep a list of what goes where!
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

    46. Another black dress going to recycling.

I was watching a YouTube video the other day and the woman was saying how you should develop your own style and base your clothes around that. I prefer dresses to trousers and I like dark, deep colours so I am going to make sure anything I buy is like that as there is no point buying something and never wearing it.:D

I would love to join this thread, having read some where the challenge for every day of the year - declutter the same no ie today 21 items.

Well I've started I have one item to go to finish Jan 11 and 66 items in total.

So my challenge for today is finish Jan 11 and complete Jan 12.
