Hi everyone,
Darwins-mum could you set yourself a small limit, but only if fits you and your lifestyle perfectly? say a few £ in cash only.
I went a bit charity shop mad one year and half of it went back to charity because there were so many mistakes. So even in charity shops, I'm really choosy now.
I knew I'd seen that not candle saying before, It's so true saving most things for best is daft both my mum and mil do it still. I'm always telling them to get things worn/used.
Another spend; a dress for my holiday in Feb- £15 in the sale. I love it though and it will be worn loads after the holiday too, so fits with my rules.:cool:0 -
Just updating for the year so far. Spent £12.25 in the White stuff sale on a t-shirt which I know I will wear lots as I have the same one in a different colour!Determined to save and not squander!

I managed to resist a pair of Great Plains trousers this morning (which would have been great for my new job) in the charity shop (where I was dropping off some donations) - they were lined and would need to be dry cleaned, and they were also too long, so I put them back on the rail. Proud of myself!Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

I have just spent £125 on a pair of boots :eek::eek::eek: Shock horror did I have the web site saved to favs for 2 years but couldn't spend the £205 they wanted for them.
Just checked on E*ay and there they were I was praying they wouldn't be my size but they were.:D I thought about it for at least 30 secondsand clicked the make an offer button and the rest is history
So 6 days in and a big purchase made
What I will do is sell sell sell and when I do I will add it back to my total bit by bitSo I don't feel such a failure. I hope you are doing better than I am .

Well done to everyone for their efforts today. Thank you for your suggestion Omarsgirl.
I didn't buy a thing, I didn't even go in the charity shops!
I have decided that I am going to put an item a day on eBay until the box at the bottom of the stairs is empty.
Keep up the good work everyone.

Ooo, I love WS. That shop is my downfall. I can spend a fortune in one of their shops. But this challenge is helping me to reign my clothes spending in.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I know. I'm a real addict which isn't helped by the fact that they have recently opened a shop in my home town! I only allow myself to cross the threshold when the sale signs are up. I managed to avoid the temptation of another tee shirt and a dress both in the sale though.
I've come to the conclusion that I'm better off spending on clothes that I know will wash well even if they cost slightly more.Determined to save and not squander!
