Struggling at the moment with trouser sort of things and considering going to buy some leggings. I am wearing my only pair of jeans today because all my leggings are in the wash and I'm so uncomfortable. How do you guys do it? Jeans, they're horrible. I can feel the waistband digging into my stomach and the back gaping. I've had to keep pulling my jumper down to cover the back as I'm worried about flashing my crack to everyone. Seriously! These things are the worst.

mavvymoo - you do make me laugh! I'm imagining someone walking round looking like they are Joseph and his technicolor dream coat with red boots on haha.

greensalad - JEGGINGS! I don't think I've worn actual jeans in about 18 months, jeggings are so much comfier... no crack flashing! lol.

Yeah I'm thinking of finding some instead of jeans but not wanting to wear leggings all the time. Thing is I'm a fatty! So jeggings I have tried tend to look a bit too tight round my thighs. I need a good middle ground.

I think being a fatty is probably part of the problem because the waistband digs into my jelly tummy when I sit down!

If I can find some stretch denim I can probably sew a pair of jeggings pretty easily.

Marks and Sparks jeggings are the best. A bit higher on the waist do no nasty muffin top and they are only about twenty quid and come in lots of colours. X

What about some curvy jeans? My friend used to spend loads on cheap jeans and none fitted her right, but would refuse to spend on one more expensive pair that was right for her shape. Or (hope this comes across ok) have you considered maternity jeans as they have the stretchy parcel rather than a rigid waistband if thats what you find uncomfortable.

Yep Pixtotts that will be me and I don't care haha ! Boots should be here tomorrow.:rotfl:So excited hope to god I like them in the flesh so to speak

Greensalad I do love jeans but I can only wear N*xt as they are the only brand that I feel comfy in. Have to be high waisted cant be doing with the builders crack ones :rotfl::rotfl:It helps as I have no hips at all so they just sort of sit there :D
I would also go for a thick stretch denim pair that are high waisted and they should be a lot more comfy

I know. I'm a real addict which isn't helped by the fact that they have recently opened a shop in my home town! I only allow myself to cross the threshold when the sale signs are up. I managed to avoid the temptation of another tee shirt and a dress both in the sale though.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm better off spending on clothes that I know will wash well even if they cost slightly more.
    - I agree with you.

I have also recently had a shop open up where I live and it is going to be hard to not spend. Especially as if you sign up to their catalogue you get a 15% discount code.

Mini victory today. Managed to have a quick look in fat face today and wasn't tempted by the sale at all!!

I now wish the town I liv in didn't have such nice shops!

  • Hi all,

I did well this morning as I nipped in a charity shop and tried on three items- that I didn't need.
I stayed strong and put them all back though and the pennies stayed in my purse :)

I was going to suggest high waisted jeans, but they don't suit everyone - I have long legs and short body and they just look wrong on me. I find New Look regular ones fit me just right.

Since I started this challenge I've got so fussy about what I buy- before if I wasn't sure about an item I would think but it's only £X so get it. Now if I think not sure, I walk away.
Proves the challenge is working. YAY !:rotfl:
