  • Gremlins got my post too BEG :mad:

Mine was basically, well done Fluff!

And haven't had jacket and beans as planned. Body craving synful food so went for minced beef and gravy poured over chips! However mince was less than 5% fat, chips done in actifry (oil HE) and only had a spoonful of gravy salts. So not bad at all, but have satisfied my syn cravings! ;)

I also like the Schwartz Curry Sachet, not too hot or spicy, but not too bland either. I'd certainly recommend it.

Is that the one you chuck a bag of spinach in? It's really nice.

As this is the MSE forums, if you have a local Heron Foods they sell

5 regular sized Muller Lights 25p each or 5 for £1
8 smaller sized Muller Lights 15p each or 8 for £1
They also have Danone 0% 150ml Thick Yoghurt 25p each or 5 for £1.

They have both good dates on them and decent flavours (or they do at the moment), hasn't always been the case in the past.

I like the Danone plain yoghurt, because 0% yoghurt is quite expensive and in giant tubs, hard to measure the right amount out.

Never seen the smaller sized mullers, its the same diameter tub but flatter, useful if you're trying to cut down on the Dairy for an SP day.

I thought ALL allergy advice has to be listed these days, so if it had any hint of gluten it should say so even if to say 'may contain'. Don't know why but I thought oats WERE gluten free anyway. I can tolerate ready brek so sticking with it.

TIE, strictly speaking oats are not gluten free but if you can tolerate them and they work for you go ahead. I can't tolerate oats at all, there are gluten free ones you can get but I can't tolerate those either. Keep doing what you're doing, it's working for you!

SW only allow GF choices for coeliacs. If you arent coeliac, you arent supposed to choose the GF options

If you dont like the texture of oats and want something more similar to readybreak, then just blitz the dry oats in a food processor

Both TIE and I have dietary issues. I am both gluten and lactose intolerant, TIE has many other foods she is intolerant too. I really don't care if SW 'ALLOW' the use of gluten free products or not, without them I and TIE would be very ill. I have been following SW my way for quite sometime now and it is working. SW are not medical/nutritional experts, and I doubt you are either, how dare you come in here as a newcomer and start telling us what we can and can't do!

    -0.5lb please shala
Meh it's a loss but it's not what I wanted however I need to curb the syns and then my loss would have been better! So hohum my own fault really

Walking dead - we've watched from the start and are nearly at the end of series 2 since new year :/ I'm enjoying it but think its w bit predictable what's going to happen - I'm a scaredy cat and despise horror films etc but this isn't too bad whinced a few times n looked away a couple of times but it's good yeah :) the fact the men are getting hotter as they get wilder is just a bonus xxx

Can't remember what Ive read now x will post properly later on xxx

  • Hi everyone

Well done to everyone else who lost today. I don't know about anyone else, but if it makes things easier for Shala I'm happy for today to count as a week 2 weigh in.

    Yesterdays food:
b: jammie dodger, custard cream, coffee w/ 2 sugars (forgot to have breakfast before church, couldn't resist)
l: 3 ryvita, 5 laughing cow light, handful of lettuce and cucumber
    s: banana(pre gym)
    s: 2 x alpen lights, 0% yoghurt (post gym)
d: lentil cottage pie, tub of quark w/sweetner and smidgen of vanilla extract (yum)
    s: special k bar

    Today:
    s:banana
    b: 2 x oats so simple w/cinnamon and an apple (3 syns)
l: massive plate of salad, ham and boiled eggs, bag of propercorn popcorn(5 syns)
d: not sure, lentil cottage pie was meant to last 2 days but bf made it, "forgot" we had carrot and swede mash for the top of it and refused to cook and veg to pad it out, so it was only really enough for one (fairly small) portion. Bf wanted to make soup for tea, but there's no way that'll be enough for me, so I've suggested quorn sausages, carrot and swede mash and broccoli instead, that'll be 4 syns.

I've forgotten who posted about it, but thanks to whoever mentioned that diet diary from the works. I order one and it came today. It looks fab, I can't wait to start filling it out!

Hope everyone's days are going well

  • Well done on all the losses - especially Teeny_bash and Fluff 1987

I watch The Walking Dead Mildredd. I loved the first couple of series but tend to find it quite dull now. It's still one of my husband's favourite shows though.

I'm away with work on Wednesday this week, so going to a different class tomorrow to get weighed. Fingers crossed it's a good one, even though it's a day short.

    Food-wise, here's what I'm having today:

Breakfast - Oat muffins (3.5 syns plus HEB), and a banana
Lunch - Thai veg and pork stir fry with a few rice noodles (1 syn), followed by 2 satsumas
Dinner - Jacket potato with leftover lamb dhansak (2 syns) followed by some melon
Snacks - Chai tea latte with skimmed milk (HEA), Sunbites (6), fat free yogurt

L: 2 x boiled eggs with 1 slice toast (HEB2),LF butter(2). Blueberries. Redbush tea with BD milk.
D: Roast Beef, mashed swede & celeriac(2 for butter), gravy(2), carrots, cabbage, sprouts & broccoli. Redbush tea with BD milk.

Re PJ Days: I'm a very slow starter most days and am quite often still in my nighty at lunchtime. It just takes me time to summon the energy needed for getting dressed. When I was a teenager I quite often stayed in PJ's all day and loved it. Getting dressed early is the exception rather than the norm for me.
