I'm a bit confused by all the talk of a new plan. As I'm doing it from home, I won't have access to the new info and I'm assuming that the EE (and red/green for that matter) have worked well for people or they wouldn't still be here. So until EE is proven not to work for me, I'm going to stick with that
Had another god day and feeling stuffed now, which is a strange feeling for a diet, but not complaining!
    B. 2 eggs scrambled, 1 toast HEB
    L. Bulgar wheat salad, turkey, mayo 1 syn
    Banana
    D. Hm beef stew
    Ff yogurt

    HEA milk for coffee
Snacks Small glass wine 6., maltesers 8

The_cat..the normal Extra Easy plan hasn't changed, it's still the main plan for SW

The new bit they've added is Extra Easy SP.. It's not compulsory to follow, it's optional if you want to. It would be like the old Success Express we used to do back in the day if we got stuck.

And repeat offender I'm not "faffing about spiralizing vegetables" just to be following the new plan, SW didn't tell me to, I was buying one anyway...

Blimey, I don't post for 24 hours and we're on page 5 of a shiny new thread!

Welcome to all the newbies to our little group.

After all the excesses of Christmas I registered a 0.5lb gain, which I was pretty chuffed with :D. Got my new book now so will have a read up this week although not sure whether I will change much that I have been doing as it has been working well for me.

Musogirl, many congratulations on your pregnancy :) If you want to keep going to SW classes they ask that you get a form from your consultant and get it signed/updated by your midwife when you see them. There's also a booklet on doing SW while pregnant or breastfeeding and the main thing I can see in there is that they recommend you have 2 HEA and 2 HEB choices to ensure you get enough calcium and fibre.

The_cat.. I think the info on the SW website explains it pretty well.. Not sure if you can see it without logging in? http://group.slimmingworld.com/useful-features/extra-easy-changes2015.aspx

As mentioned EE is still pretty much the same, just less symbols being used to make things more straight forward.. Some syn values have changed, for takeaways etc.. Some foods that were super free but not speed are now just free.. The SP is meant to be a tool to replace success express to give a boost and not compulsory to do or to follow long term http://group.slimmingworld.com/useful-features/extra-easy-sp.aspx

Not sure where the yoghurts being synned is coming from.. Am I missing something?

Am sure if you are happy following whatever plan works for you then continue to do that.. Personally I'm stuck in a rut and will give it a try to see if a change will see the scales start to move again ;)

And I've been using veg as pasta, noodles etc for ages, just wanted a gadget to make life easier.. Will now be less of a faff IMO :)

    I've eaten peanuts tonight..

    Evening all
I think I made a dire mistake in starting this new plan with a cold :( I'm craving carbs really bad :( I haven't been to WI yet but I read my Mum's copy. My consultant bless her raved about how good this plan would be for those who didn't eat meat but having looked at the plan it seems to be all meat, fish and eggs!
Now I consider myself pescetarian so as it happens I do eat fish- but only tuna and tinned and fresh salmon with the odd kipper now and again. All that it seemed I can eat is Quorn pieces and Quorn mince and hey there's only so much of that its possible to eat :D I think this is quite possibly going to be the longest week of my life..!! I haven't felt hungry but my carb cravings are terrible :o I'm dreaming of huge steaming bowls of pasta, and my favourite food ever mashed potato with milk and salt, or a crispy jacket with tuna and beans.. And don't get me STARTED on the bananas.. :rotfl:
Going for a meal tomorrow night and it will be impossible to be carb free so will have my rice without feeling too guilty..!!!
    Today's meal plan.
B: Tinned salmon (P) on HEXB scan bran with 1/2 HEXA Laughing Cow, 1/2 HEXA milk in decaf, 2 easy peelers
L: Scrambled egg (P) Linda McCartney red onion sausages, tinned tomatoes (S) 2 apples, cup of hot NAS
T: Quorn Swedish style meatballs, frozen peas, steamed broccoli, cauli, carrots and baby corn. Mini Crunchie, mini Flake, mini bag Choc buttons (4 Syns each so 12 syns) Pint of NAS
S: HEXB 2x HiFi rocky road, hot NAS
    Syns: 12
BM: 40 mins (17 miles) on bike.
Hugs to all and happy new year! :) xx

Oh shala_moo I was not referring to you I was citing from the SW website which describes how to switch from green to eesp and suggested using a spiraliser to turn veg into spaghetti.

I have numerous gadgets that slice / dice / curl and shred for home made salads / veg / soups and sauces as part of my meal - but for me introducing a plan which replaces carbs with veg is a step backwards - it's already there in the red plan. :)

No branded foods on sp including Quorn? I may be alone in struggling to understand the hype in introducing this as a great new food plan :(
So you're Red John? I have to say I'm a little disappointed.

I haven't received the new books (Friday) but some of what I am reading is making eesp sound like a DIET as opposed to a way of life. What I am hearing is that to use it for a boost--- and that is the way I use red days. I find I can 'feel' lighter on red days but I love my carbs esp pasta and mash! Looking forward to using it to rid myself of Christmas overload :D

You can have Quorn :) it says so in the book- it's a P choice (the mince and chicken style pieces are)
