Still not quite back on plan yet - the stollen is finished but we're going out for a Chinese meal on NYE and a few glasses of fizz may have to pass my lips to see in 2015. After that the wagon is definitely back on the rails again, I want to lose another 2 stone before the end of March so there's no slacking.

What is everyone planning for NYE?

    LL :)

I'm planning much the same as you LL but at home rather than going out. We'll have a Chinese from the freezer and with spring rolls too and a bottle of bubbly.

I'm going to put off shopping/getting properly on plan until Friday so meanwhile I'll be just using up what's in the freezer. It looks like DH could get his pie!

Hello, anyone mind if I join again? I've recently decided to join a group so this time am doing better (though I'm not at home for New Year so I'll be happy to just maintain my weight, lol!

I've managed to lose 5lb so far which is the best I've ever managed on Slimming World ever!

This morning's breakfast was bacon, egg, beans and a small bowl of grpaes and yoghurt. Lunch was 4 ryvita with nat yog, apple and ham on it with salad and a small bowl of grapes. Just about to munh some pineapple, and no idea what has been planned for dinner yet

Good to see you shortie. I don't know how much you've heard about the new plan but grapes and pineapple are only free food now. I wouldn't worry if it's working for you but most other fruits are S (speed) food which should be better for weightloss and count in your third for EE.

I compared the two lists and those fruits which are now only free food (so shouldn't be included in your third for EE or the half for EESP) are: bananas, blueberries, cherries, figs, grapes, greengages, kiwis, kumquats, lychees, mango, physalis, pineapple, pomegranates and sharon fruit.

The 'new' Extra Easy just says free food, HEXs and syns but that there should be at least a third of S (Speed) food whenever you can including between meals. I think while they don't want to ban anything they've definitely introduced a pecking order of what's likely to produce the most speedy weightloss.

I just thought it might help for those of us replenishing stocks this week.

    Hello everyone
Can I rejoin you? I read this board all the time for your inspiration and to help keep me on track. I seem to have been dieting all my life but find SW the most 'normal' for a lifestyle. I rejoined SW about a year and a half ago and since then have (very slowly) lost 2st 6lb. It goes on and off because of holidays and weekends away but that is my retired life and I am not giving it up!! So I am taking the very long and winding road ;) I would like another stone off me and then see from there.
Wanted to come out of lurking and wish you all a very happy 2015

    Thanks all
    Annie

It's just another kitchen gadget:o.. I like my kitchen gadgets :D but yes it's to make noodles and I did see a recipe for string fries  using it.

You can also make vegetable "rice" by cutting up the noodles a bit..

I have been using my julienne peeler thing but the strips aren't long enough.. Fingers crossed it works!!

We're off to the shops today to get some healthy items to eat.. Going to make a beef stew  I think.. It's blooming freezing so need something a bit hearty! Also going to make cockie-leekie (sp) soup... Recipe from the SW website.

Ohh forgot to say hi to all the new people  welcome to the board.

I looked on eBay, there are lots of different types of spiraliser.
What model did you or are you getting?
Could be good for the SP plan.

  • Weighed in today - gained 1.5 lb.

We collected our new packs and the counsellor went through some of the features, but it was very brief and people were talking. I am going to have a read through later and see if there is anything in the new plan for me at this stage.
  • I've had a look through the plan online and sorry for being negative but I don't like the look of it - for a boost you could cut the carbs on the EE without a new plan or do a few red days. Looking closely it's quite restrictive - not suitable for diabetics and reverts back to the old days of using veg as carbs and faffing about spiralling veg - really? No carbs and am I right in thinking yogurts are no longer free? For me it takes the easy out of extra easy

On a positive note if you have an old books with red and green syn values they will be worth a few bob on ebay.
So you're Red John? I have to say I'm a little disappointed.
