Hi all
Just signing on to the new thread. I have decided to join a group on Tuesday next week to help get me focussed. I am looking forward to seeing the new EESP but initially will stick to the EE plan (except do it 100% instead of the 40-50% I have been doing in the last few months).
Welcome to all the newbies. I promise to post more in the new year as I will be looking for things to do in the evening other than eating0 -

Well, I have gone off track a little the last few days starting with far too many chocolate fingers and quality street yesterday and ending with a celebratory Pizza Hut meal tonight. Celebratory because I found out yesterday that I am pregnant! So I'm thanking Slimming World, as it must be the 5lbs I've lost that have made it happen finally!
Not sure when to tell my consultant as it's still very early days but equally I want to make sure I'm eating appropriately. I shouldn't need to put on much weight as I'm already on the hefty side! Put on a stone with DD and it all came off within 3 weeks of the birth!
Congratulations Musogirl hope all goes well :T:T
Thank you for the shiny new thread Shala you are a star :A
Welcome to all the newbies, sw does work Ive been at target [or there abouts] for getting on for 10 years. The target sofa is filling up nicely since Ive been here
.
Dont think I posted last wi, was a gain of about 1.5lb. I say about as my scales weigh in points of lbs and im too tired to try to work it out. So hopefully 1.5 is erring on the side of caution. Bit too much chocolate in this house [6 tubs of quality street, roses, celebrations and heros] plus other boxes of different chocs.
Had a really nice christmas day, 1st in a few years. Laughed a lot while playing Logo and uno with our boy and cried over the wonderful ring my very thoughtful hubby bought me [has names of hubby, son and all my loved ones that have passed]. Really surprised me and made me sob my heart out which made hubby feel bad :rotfl: Love him so much more now :A
Food has been a nightmare since boxing day when everything I eat makes my tum hurt, so afraid to eat. Looking like another trip to Drs.
Wishing you all A Happy New Year, keep the faith all :AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hi hwoolgar, I'm a thread newbie as well - very glad to have found this thread as it stays on the front page (always a bonus not to have to look for it!) and is really friendly.Hi JPScloud how do I make this thread stay on the front page when lurking I always type Slimming World in the search box.
If you go to 'Thread tools' on the green bar at the top of the thread, then select 'Subscribe to this thread', it will appear when you click 'User CP' on the green bar at the top of the forum.
ETA - there are other options like email notifications, I don't go for them as with a busy thread your inbox will fill up very quickly.
Hope that makes sense.

p.s. Another tip to help with a thread you visit regularly is to click the little down arrow on the left hand side of the name of the thread - it will take you to the first unread post (it remembers the posts that have appeared since you last visited, quite clever really!).Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -

Thanks for the new thread Shala_moo - I've only just found you all and we're on page 4 already! Regarding closing the thread I think the Board Guide can do it - the person's user name is Glad - just PM her.
Musogirl - congratulations! SW used to suggest pregnant women should increase their HEs so it might be worth a whisper in your consultant's ear.
Still not quite back on plan yet - the stollen is finished but we're going out for a Chinese meal on NYE and a few glasses of fizz may have to pass my lips to see in 2015. After that the wagon is definitely back on the rails again, I want to lose another 2 stone before the end of March so there's no slacking.
Loving the vegetable spiralizer! I didn't know such things existed. What is carrot spaghetti like, is it a good replacement for the real thing? The description also suggests courgette but I can't imagine that staying in one piece.
Meg - you're better off without him, but I love your response.I might have been tempted to say I'll wear a skirt and high heels if you do, but he might be into that..! :rotfl:
What is everyone planning for NYE?

LL - I've used carrot and courgette cut similar to tagliatelle, worked well and although it's not the real thing it was a nice alternative for a low carb day.. Think the one we ordered has two settings for that size and the spaghetti
Nothing exciting planned for NYE, sister asked me to go with her and hubby to the Trafford centre.. Mooch round the shops then meal and film, dunno yet!0 -
Hello, anyone mind if I join again? I've recently decided to join a group so this time am doing better (though I'm not at home for New Year so I'll be happy to just maintain my weight, lol!
I've managed to lose 5lb so far which is the best I've ever managed on Slimming World ever!
This morning's breakfast was bacon, egg, beans and a small bowl of grpaes and yoghurt. Lunch was 4 ryvita with nat yog, apple and ham on it with salad and a small bowl of grapes. Just about to munh some pineapple, and no idea what has been planned for dinner yetApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
