... A few months after I first joined SW I got pregnant so I think the plan is definitely good for fertility. Lovely news xxx

One reason I joined SW in the summer was in preparation to try for a baby in 2015 sometime. Over Xmas we decided to go for the 'not trying but not preventing it' stage :). Will just see what happens for now, I ideally still need to lose at least 2stone.

First of a hopeful 9 days on plan for me, maybe with exception of NYE. I don't normally post my meal plans but as I'm off work I shall today:

    Green day:
B - Omlette (3eggs) with toms, peppers and red onion in it and beans for breakfast. 1 syn for sauce.
L - Leftover roast veg (red onion, potato, sweet potato, peppers, carrots, BNS) with couscous
D- Square wrap pizza 8 syns topped with lots of veggies (sweetcorn, peppers, pineapple, toms, jalepenos), 2 syns for LF pesto and 2 x HEB cheese, SW chips and side salad (lettuce, cuc, toms, peppers, pickled onion/beetroot/cabbage). FF dressing. 2 syns for LF salad cream on chips.
Snacks - lots of fruit, drinking lots of water.
    HEA for skimmed milk.

    Total 13 syns.

Can I join you on here please.

I joined Slimming World last September, and I've lost 1 stone 1lb up to now. I'm a really picky eater, so I tweak the plan to suit me and it seems to be working, so I'll continue to do that with the new plan.

I'm really looking forward to joining in with the next challenge.

What has happened to the app? I seem to have lost the ability to record my daily syns!

I'm not sure the EESP is for me, no yoghurt? No pasta?

Think I'll just stick with what I know
On the FAQ's about SP one is asking if you can have potatoes and yoghurt on SP and do you have to count them as syns?.. It says no you dont need to syn as they are still free food you can have them. Says there's a section on the SP food plan they have for occasional free foods but to boost your loss its best to stick to the S + P foods..

Worth reading the FAQ's if you have access to the website, makes it easier to get your head around it :)

I am not new to slimming world but haven't been to group for about 6 months properly so rusty and would love to join you all here too as I am A MSE addict at the mo, I bought a 12 week countdown out of my xmas cash I had given and it just happens to run out on my birthday so hopefully another one will be bought the same way so kinda MSE lol... I have lots to lose but everyone has to start somewhere don't they.. The new plan will suit me as I always lost on red plan rather than EE so I am trying to follow plan with whats in fridge but will need to do a shop once I have finally read the new plan properly. Will seem odd counting syns for mullerlights.

Not sure they should have given out the packs until the consultants had time to explain it first..

I agree, seeing a lot of confusion and incorrect details on FB, instagram etc

Just transferred all my old weight info into my new pack and it's rubbish!! They've took out the column where you put what you actually weigh, there's just the +/- column and cumulative weight loss now... I don't like change :( wish I'd carried on with my old book!

I've added my weight in the column for goals.. not transferred all mine over, will just use the old book at group and add details to the new one myself I think :)

Off to work.. hope I can avoid the Christmas goodies there.. i'm on the shopping run so can steer the chap I support towards some healthier options :p

Hello to new peeps, welcome to the thread.. have a good day everyone x
  • thanks shala and maman think I'll just stick to the regular EE plan and monitor my carb intake as before seeing as I always saw consistent losses - slow and steady and all that :)

I am going to weigh in on New Year's day and keep my weigh in day as a Thursday. As it stands today I'm thinking I have 1st 8lb to shift and whilst I won't hit my original January target I am going to be kind to myself and say by wonder bairn's 1st birthday in March :)

Plan is: EE without being carb crazy, zumba on the xbox at least 2 times a week (hopefully more), take better care of myself in general having 'me time' etc, going for walks onmy lunches (but leaving my purse in the office!) I've set myself some new savings challenges so don't have any spare money for 'stuff' so I should lose lbs but gain £s ;)

  • to be honest I never strictly followed the plan, the idea you could eat as much pasta as you wanted, etc. I could eat 500g of pasta easily and I know I wouldn't lose weight. So I stick to the diet but do control my intake of carbs, etc.

I've lost weight every single week, except this one tonight. Although I think I might still be slimmer of the month

I don't think it's a case of synning Mullerlights or potatoes or any other free foods. In fact, I don't think you can syn them, it's just that you'd be diluting/tweaking the Extra Easy SP such that it wasn't really that plan any more but a charged up version of EE.

I've been to group again this morning to hear Part 2 of the explanation. Apparently SW is aware that there are errors/omissions in the new pack so they've produced a book mark with some extra information. The trouble is that City Link is the courier that SW use and as they've gone into administration they haven't been delivered. SW shop was looking a bit sad too.

The Extra Easy SP plan is meant to be 50:50 Speed food (S) and Protein (P) along with kitchen staples (condiments etc), HEXs and syns. Any free food is allowed 'if you have a craving for it' but then it's not authentic EESP. What's being recommended is that you try a week of EESP to get weightloss going and then maybe a day or two a week in future. Our consultant said that as it is low carb it wouldn't necessarily be healthy or sustainable to do it long term as it's not balanced. Apparently, when consultants trialled it they were reporting losses of 9 - 11 lbs in a week.

So I'd say stick to EE (while being aware of any changes to values etc) and use SP like Success Express as a boost. It's easy for me to say that as I'm at target. Anyone desperate to lose ASAP may not agree with me.

I really need to do some sort of meal plan and shop but am still feeling pretty drained from the chesty cold. I think I'll see what I can cobble from freezer and cupboards as close to plan as I can. Tomorrow we'll have an off plan meal for NYE then I'm back to it with a vengeance. I didn't weight today, just went to listen. Jeans feel tightish but I don't think too much damage done.

Good luck flutterby. Your menu sounds yummy.:)
