  • Thanks for the new thread Shala!

Well, I have gone off track a little the last few days starting with far too many chocolate fingers and quality street yesterday and ending with a celebratory Pizza Hut meal tonight. Celebratory because I found out yesterday that I am pregnant! So I'm thanking Slimming World, as it must be the 5lbs I've lost that have made it happen finally!

Not sure when to tell my consultant as it's still very early days but equally I want to make sure I'm eating appropriately. I shouldn't need to put on much weight as I'm already on the hefty side! Put on a stone with DD and it all came off within 3 weeks of the birth!

  • Hi all,

To accelerate my slow but steady slimming world journey I would like to join this forum for extra support and to try to make new friends. I was looking for something on facebook but did not find the main SW page that helpful.

    About me

I am 36, 5ft 8 and have a lovely daughter aged 5 and son now 6 months old.

I joined slimming world June 13 and weighed a shocking 19stone 5. I got down to 16stone 10 but then discovered I was pregnant so decided not to continue at group in Oct 13. My lovely son was born June 2014.

I rejoined July 14 and weighed 16 stone 13lb for about 5 weeks. Sadly in August my partner perforated his bowel and ended up in intensive care with 2 major operation so I stopped going to group but largely eat slimming world but did some stress eating and when I returned to group I was 4.5lb down from when I left weighing 15stone 10lb. I am now at 15stone 1/2 lb. I maintained today (OK as Xmas) but the 2 previous weeks I lost 1/2 a pound each week which was disappointing...

My aim is 12 stone as want to realistic and will re-evaluate when I get there.

I have read lots of the previous thread and found all your posts inspiring and to hit my goal in 2015 I need to keep motivated.

Happy New Year and I would love to enjoy any challenges.

    THANKS XXXX

  • Reporting in with tonight's wi result - it's ................ a STS. I can live with that for this week :rotfl:

Don't think I learned anything new re the new stuff tonight that hasn't already been mentioned here. I'm another carb lover here and also wondered that if we have to have that much more protein on EE SP that it could work out more expensive if you are on a tight budget.

Congratulations on your fab news Musogirl :j

DH had made Cola Chicken and Veg Rice for me tonight for after class and I have just opened a little box of handmade choccies he got me for Christmas (only contained 6 thank goodness) - I cut each one in half and shared it with him (damage limitation and all that). He then went on to have Christmas pud and cream - is there any justice in the world?

Hi hwoolgar, I'm a thread newbie as well - very glad to have found this thread as it stays on the front page (always a bonus not to have to look for it!) and is really friendly.

  • I'm in... thanks ... I get weighed on New Years Eve. Lost 1lb last week (its slow and steady for me, I have a long way to go). I could not survive without SW, and I am very very pleased to see a thread on here. Thank you :)

  • Hi JPScloud how do I make this thread stay on the front page when lurking I always type Slimming World in the search box.

For Xmas I got a slow cooker so will search this site for SW recipes for the slow cooker.

Looking forward to the challenge starting.

naturaljazz I am slow and steady but when I wish I was one of the people in group loosing 4 or 5ln I remind myself I want to loose the weight forever and it was not the hare that won the race! x
  • congratulations musogirl295 on your pregnancy. A few months after I first joined SW I got pregnant so I think the plan is definitely good for fertility. Lovely news xxx
