    Great loss shala :j

And you Beanie that's brilliant! :T:T:T

gien - that menu looks fine, and yes it would be EESP if you swapped out the mash. Your porridge would still be your HEA/HEB and you could also add another HEB.

Back on plan today.. still full from last night so a light eating day EE
    B - apple
L - not sure.. will get something when i get home involving my heb
T - pasta bake, chicken, bowl of fruit and quark
S - milk in tea (hea) nectarine
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

Gien as a HEB you could have 35g of unflavoured porridge oats, so it should still be ok, but if you were to change your mash to a different root veg maybe squash then aslong as you have a balance of s & p foods it should be fine for EESP. Alternatively, have your mash, enjoy it & call it an EE day :-)
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

    Hiya
Reporting in with the result of this weeks weigh in and I've still only lost my Christmas gain so it's a STS as far as the challenge is concerned.

I had a sneaky peak earlier in the week and the 2.5lbs I gained over Christmas and new year had gone so I was really hoping for a bit more by today. (Insert shrugging smiley.)

C'est la vie. Maybe now is the time to try a couple of days of SP.

Beanie - well done, that's a great loss. Chewing toffees must cancel out their calories! ;)

CP - it's hard working where you are surrounded by temptation. I will have that problem when I return to England as DH and I run a shop selling all sorts of naughty things from sweets and ice creams to pasties and fish and chips!

Well done to all the losers and welcome to the new people.

    Have a good day.

Its been a long old week and I am very glad Friday is here. :T

Yesterday was another day which went pear shaped. At lunchtime, I went to the local supermarket and despite having a small shop being delivered last night, I bought more food shopping including minted lamb steaks which looked lovely in the shop but when I went to cook them, I realised the price reflected the quality. They left a lot of fat in the pan and I dread to think of the syn value. I won't detail what other rubbish I ate. Will take too long and I don't want to be reminded!

I think trying to be back fully on plan the first week was a bit of a mistake.

I'm glad the weekend is here (almost) and hope to have a quiet one and plan some menus that I will be able to stick to.

In the meantime, my menu for today:

breakfast of HEB toast with peanut butter (syns).
lunch of tuna pouch with salad and chilli beetroot and HEA of feta cheese.
dinner: being cooked for me !!! (so no idea!)

snacks: melon and leftover tangerine and pear slices from earlier in the week

naughty snacks: snickers bar and lotus biscuits.

Need to work out the syns for the tuna pouch and also see whether the bread I was buying before xmas can still be used as a HEB.

On the subject of syns, its interesting to read mention that some members are being allocated a higher syn allowance depending on weight. I've known male members to be given more syns but other than that I've always known it to be a max of 15 but stick to at least 5 / no more than 10 (allowing the buffer of 5 for misdemeanours.) I've not seen anything in the new books about a higher syn limit nor had anything mentioned by the consultant.

As I've been struggling, I had considered starting myself off with 20 syns a day but have never got round to planning this properly.

I need to make a decision really. Part of me has been seriously considering giving up class for now and doing something off my own back, sort of a combination of slimming world and healthy eating generally but part of me also thinks this would be a mistake. I didn't get anywhere last year with class. But to be fair, if you don't invest in the plan then you are going to get nowt out but one does end up frustrated and you kind of think what's the point.

I hope everyone has a good day xx
  • Well yesterday was my first day in about a week where I've actually stuck to plan and only ate the Celebrations that my syns allowed (1 mars bar and 2 twix), it helps I've ate the ones I really liked. The scales show a loss of 2lb

Our consultant suggested that we don't need a third of our plate to be free, we can boost the protein and superfree for quicker weight loss. So I'm going to start doing that in set meals I think.

TBH I've always done it without thinking, I often have veg soup for lunch with no carbs.

Right, I have just gone through about 10 pages  It's very busy on here at the moment but that's got to be a good thing!

Congratulations on your losses b_e_g, cte, catcherupper, lauri, jock, onestepforward, jellybaby, midge, boddy, kazzaw, retiredlady, lush, sally, baytree, shala, bunty, beanie, naturaljazz and lois (and breathe!). Special congrats to b_e_g on your shiny and baytree on your club 10 :j

I've caught up on Biggest Loser and was really pleased with the end result :) Did also watch the Dr Christian show and it annoyed me especially because they didn't provide a healthy eating plan to the people, just left them to get on with it. Can't believe they didn't bang into that vegan woman that pretty much just eating potatoes was not going to work :rotfl:(and more importantly is not healthy).

There's been a couple more joiners to the challenge since then, but 42.5 stone  That would be awesome :D

Welcome to the new joiners to our happy little thread :) I think there were about 30 new people at my class on Tuesday, it certainly looked like a long queue for them to WI. There's an older couple who go to my class and they adore my little boy so he was off having cuddles with the man. He told me later that he heard one of the new peeps saying 'Ah, look at that man with his daughter and grandson!'

Phew, was worried I was going to lose all that so thought I'd post before it got longer...

All the talk of sandwiches - you guys wanting sprouts and beetroot in them are just wrong ;). Makes me want the sandwich from my youth, banana. White bread, loads of butter, sliced banana and plenty of sugar. I don't think I'll bother working out what the syns would be on that, it's not going to be good!

Flutterby - you asked ages ago about veggie proteins, I think all beans and lentils are fine and great added to veg for any type of dinner.

Our consultant is currently taking donations for the foodbank. I've already donated some fudge and biscuits to avoid temptation. Sadly my mum cooked biscuits with my daughter when she had her the other day and I didn't avoid them :o

Indications at the moment are I'm STS and I really need a loss this week. To help me with that, we're going to Pizza Hut tomorrow... I'm thinking that I need to fill my boots at the salad bar and try not to have much pizza. Will let you know how that goes...

My darling children are doing my head in this morning, especially my daughter who will not stop climbing on me :(. I've already been headbutted in the jaw and stood on in so many tender places. Currently she's bouncing on the sofa right behind me and I am going slowly crazy.

One good thing - I ordered a replacement wedding ring which should be delivered today. My original one has been too big to wear for ages. I think we had to get an R/S or somewhere like that. The new one which should be possible but not too easy to get off is an L. So even my fingers have lost weight :rotfl:

STS for me this week Shala

Happy enough with that as although I was trying to get back on it last week was luxury mashed potato gate, accompanied by M&S Cauliflower Cheese & removing last traces of chocolate from the house into my mouth!

Hopefully I will start to see the Christmas lbs come off next week. I couldn't believe how many people were there last night and so many returnees! Didn't like all the whispers though theres that girl etc Kind of did me good, gave me a little kick up the backside as such reminded me of how far I've come and how I definitely don't want to go backwards.

The uncomfortable bloated feeling and increase to my ring of fat around my middle is really bugging me right now so I am really hoping that this week I can get fully back on it!

B: Activia % Yogurt - Not at all hungry right now

L: Wm Pitta Heb, Chicken Salad & Heb Cheese

D: Seasoned Baked Salmon Fillet, Roasted Mixed Peppers & Tomatoes, Pickles, Mushrooms

Gym tonight for 45 mins treadmill at least

    Pints of NAS

I'm committing to getting a loss this week
