Hello, and welcome to all our new members :hello: it's great to have so many on here now, and look forward to getting to know you all, but my, this thread moves so fast it takes an age to catch up!
Please can I report 1/2lb off . Thank you Shala for doing that mega list! It was only a piddling loss, but I didn't deserve that... I was really expecting a gain of 2 or 3 pounds, cause I've been eating so many naughty things again this week. I really didn't want to go to class this morning, and was looking for any excuse not to go, but I wanted to find out about the EESP, so decided I really had to go, and then bought a countdown so that I was bound to go for the next 6 weeks. I feel quite determined now to really do this, but I've got a houseful of visitors until Sunday, so I might struggle, but will do my best and up the veg intake and water as much as I can, and hope for the best!
Thanks for all the helpful menu ideas, and tips. There's an awful lot of weight pledged to be lost in this challenge, I'll do my best!0 -
Glad I took the plunge and started SW (again!). Came home with shiny new books and feeling inspired to start afresh. Very good talk and most of the newbies had vouchers so it was a great deal at £4.95.
The consultant explained that SP is NOT a new plan but an extra tool to use if and when you want to kickstart your weightloss but is only intended for about a week. You can of course, choose to do it for a day or two a week if that fits in with your lifestyle. Do no big deal really. Extra Easy continues as it was.:)
I have given myself a target of 1 stone loss to start with.0 -

blue_eyed_girl wrote: »Hi tweets just looked up Tesco chilli con carne and there is a 400g can (dont think its value range) and that is 10 syns. There is also Everyday Value chilli con carne sauce 440g jar and that is 12 syns. Compared to Asda's smart price chilli con carne (1syn for 392g) they seem a bit heavy on the syns. Hth

I took a sneaky peek at the scales this morning (i know i shouldnt but id be lying if i said i could wait til monday).... happy to report things are heading in the right direction!!:D:j:j:j:D
in reality i need to lose 4.5st to be at the weight my old consultant reckoned would be healthy! (:rotfl: id be a bloody skeleton at 9st 9!!). Though id be happy fitting into a size 12 regardless of what i weigh - a nasty patronising, condescending cow of a dr at my local clinic seems to have other ideas though! Less said about her and her size 8 frame the better (considering a younger version of her *at the same practice* told me i was fine hahah!!!)
Start as i mean to go on..... starting weight 15st 4 3/4lbs, 5'9 & a *very* sturdy 14.... hopeful finishing weight 12st or slightly under.... i think anything less and id start to look a little too skinny (time will tell i guess!!)
Menu today was very similar to yesterday
B - apple, melon & orange fruit salad
Snack - peppermint tea & satsuma
L- ham salad (as previous days), satsuma
D - turkey ragu, sprouts, broccoli *tried leek sheets - not for me im afraid)
HEA- 250ml ss milk
HEB's - 2x alpen light bars (currently £1 a box in Mr a.da btw)
My motivation? Bridesmaid dress fitting in may and my baby brothers wedding in september.... i can do this! I WILL do this!!!!!!! lets go!!!!!I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know
On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!0 -
1 and 1/2 Lb off for me. I did 2 x EESP days. Feel less sluggish, and I am on plan... pleased with how I am doing. I am a long-term Slimming World member, and have a lot to lose, BUT I feel good about optimising and getting there... it is a journey, and I am in for the long haul. Good choices folks (forget luck it aint worth the bother!)Remember when you judge someone, it does not define them ... You define yourself :j0
