Hi everyone
Well first weigh in of the new year last night and I managed - 1lbAlthough I put on 'considerably' more than that over the holidays, I was happy enough with that as I only really started from 2 January.
So meal plan for next two weeks worked out on what's in the house and needs using up and trying to keep to SW. Was a real bu**er to do:rotfl: Took me at least two hours!
Loads to catch up on so away to read back and see how everyone's doing.
Take care x0 -
-1LB this week. Really pleased.[/
Nothing on this week so I'm hoping to keep up momentum.0 -
Tweets - I had a an argument on the 23rd of December with steak comment boy because he was drunk and wanted to come into my house. What's wrong with that you might think nothing, but it was 3am, said individual is married and I work with him. None of this matters of course as long as I don't get too skinny! He was sent off with a boxed ear
:rotfl: Hope he had the hangover from Hell and didnt get anything from Santa.Slimming World at target0 -

Apologies if you're eating up supplies CP but your menu looks very short on S (Speed) food. Can't say what you had for breakfast but otherwise it's just some beetroot and whatever amount of satsumas and apple you're having. Don't forget that grapes aren't on the list any more so now just free food. HTH
I have that programme recorded - think I will just flick through it going on the reviews..........
I haven't watched it but I used to quite enjoy Secret Eaters. The trouble with any of these series written to a formula (i.e. most programmes these days) is that they repeat so much as if the viewers have the attention span of a gnat!! I know it's just done for cheap TV but I'd much prefer to be able to fast forward over all those bits so I record things too.B - bacon & mushroom omlette
L - butternut squash & lentil curry (from freezer) with rice
D - ostrich steak, two potato dauphanoise made with Quark (recipe on Lake District Quark website), veg
HEA - milk
HEB - no idea at the moment, perhaps some crackers this evening
Syns - cornflour 0.5; reduced fat cheese 2
Denise
I'll be interested to know what the dauphinoise is like. I make mine from Reduced Fat crème fraiche so it's very synful.
So fat today I've had HEX porage for breakfast and planning chicken stir fry for dinner. In between to be decided.
Back soon.:)0 -
Well got my well deserved gain last night 2lbs on, was happy with that as I am still in target and can , hopefully, shift this for next week.
Got a request from a young, skint, student friend to check out syns in Asda smartprice tins and recipes, bless her I know shes not that skint she just wants more money left over for wine and beer, and why not.
I discovered that a tin of smartprice chilli con carne is only 1syn and 57p so made a big pot of soup to try it out. Its really good and I was surprised to find it incredibly cheap made enough for the week for around £1.30.
If anyone uses these and has any sw friendly recipes to share I would be grateful.Slimming World at target0 -
Maman, i often make a "dauphinois " with milk from my A choice and some quark whisked together and poured over potatoes. Not the real thing but very passable with a roast or pice of fish.0

Sorry I know I should ask my consultant these questions but I won't get the chance to tonight as I can't stay for the talk due to childcare.
Anyone got any good suggestion for protein based meals for a veggie who doesn't really like Quorn? I do eat eggs and tofu and various types of beans, oh and lentils! (they are protein right?!).
I may try EESP for a few days but just can't think what to have!
Is cheese a HEB on EE like it is on Green?
If I had the following would it be EESP?
B - heb cereal with milk from hea allowance and speed fruit OR omlette with speed veggies and hea cheese
L - soup made with speed veggies and some beans?
D - lentil meatloaf (lentils onion garlic herbs breadcrumbs [half heb] and topped with cheese [half heb]) with speed veggies
Snacks of speed fruits or hard boiled eggs?
Thanks in advance if anyone can answer my ramblings!

TIE - hope you're feeling better today x
Great losses coming through :T:T
BEG - hope you enjoyed the program.. sorry if I spoilt it.
Eric - glad I wasn't the only one who didn't enjoy it - everyone seemed to be raving about it on Twitter. It just seemed to want to make controversialness (not a word I know) out of something for nothing IYKWIM. They didn't even help the contestants out by providing them with a plan..Really really need to get off the cheese !!! My body isn't functioning this week at all either - loathe to say it but might have to get on the sprouts.
As long as it's not on sandwiches _pale_The naughties should be out the house??
Obviously you've never met my family who seem to think the purchasing of party food and nibbles and treats is an Olympic sport in which we are excelling at it
:rotfl::rotfl:
In other news / the bfs family have asked would I monitor their weight loss and food for the next year while they slim down for the family wedding next XmasI'm unsure will have to get amended copies of the plan for them and then commit to seeing them all for a year ... Plus point they said they'd bung me a few quid each week?! Undecided really but could either make or break my decision to attend a consultants meeting and pursue that line of additional employment really
I'd say go for it, use them as guinea pigs... at least then you'll know if its the right thing for you, if you find you don't like it could you stop without them being offended?
I've found with using quark in recipes that need baking, the quark splits and goes a bit weird in texture - how do you all stop that happening??
So I still have my cold.. ears are blocked but the headache/sinus pain is eased off now so hopefully by the morning the ear thing will have gone as I will be going back to work. I shall be getting some of the First Defence spray the next time sister comes to stay I think, she's not infecting us again :rotfl:
Menu today - I've accidently done an EESP day but it's weigh in tomorrow so eating as light as we can :rotfl: as you do..
B - none, I didn't get up
L - 2 x pork burgers, 0.5 hea cheese, lettuce wraps, onion and pineapple
T - chargrilled fish things, roasted BNS, salad
S - nectarine, Satsuma, French fries (4) milk in tea (0.5 hea) alpen light x 2 (heb)
piccie of my lunch - http://instagram.com/p/xjYkb1B_HA/Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

No need to apologise Maman. I don't eat any vegetables (apart from peas and potatoes), and the only fruit I eat is oranges, apples, grapes and strawberries. It stems from a childhood in hospital and being told if I didn't eat what was given, then I would not be allowed home (I was always in hospital). I have a genuine fear of eating certain foods. Veg is the main one. Yes I know it is a pathetic excuse, and every year I promise myself I will try just one, but i simply can't do it. I had help, done CBT, the only thing I haven't done is hypnosis.
I never used to eat any fruit, or rice, or potatoes. Those are something I have gradually started eating in the 10 years I've being married. Oh and i do eat onion now. Not a lot, but its add flavour something
So yep, i'm a little crazy, but I'm just thankful it hasn't rubbed off on my children who all eat nearly all veg (even sprouts!) :T I will get there eventually. If you knew what I used to eat you would probably wonder how I ever survived this far in life
