Shala_moo please could I be added to the challenge? I know I am a bit late but I would be grateful if I could sneak in. My aim is to loose
    8lbs
by the end of the challenge. I can do this!

Well done Lauri254, CTE1111 and Blue_eyed_girl :T and to anyone else with a loss :D

Thank you Tweets for the voucher details, I think I will have to go along and get the new books as I have given away my old ones and I keep mixing EE and EESP which won't be helping me lose weight.

Not a very good day today, struggling to get back on plan. My mouth has started to get sore, a good indicator I've reached my limit for lactose tolerance so hopefully this will deter me from the chocolate.

I was running late doing the weekly shop and was absolutely starving when I finally got lunch around 2ish. I caved in and had a bag of lentil crisps from A!di, I even managed to reign it in by tea time and only had a WW ready meal, but what took me over the limit was the chocolate again.

Anyway tomorrow is a new day and with my sore mouth I'm less likely to eat normal chocolate and stick to my daily allowance of dairy free.

  • Went to group tonight and pleased I did because she did the new members talk with the whole group so it was a great refresh!

I'd like to join the challenge please Shala, 14lb is the aim!!!

Basically, my start weight is 13st.13lb, so if I have 7 weeks left in the challenge at a steady 2lb a week, then that is 14lb, which will bring me just under the next stone down bracket!

Wish me luck.... I'm sure I will get back into the swing of things!

Happy days Shala, I'd like to report a -3lb this week :j

I had a Fitbit zip and loved the wee thing but managed to lose it in mid December, got it caught on a basket in tesco and it must've pulled it off but I didn't realise until later in the day. I treated myself last week to a fitbug orb from Sainsburys cos they were half price (£25). It's a grand wee thing and comes with a watch strap type thing so you can wear it on your wrist or a pop in pocket clip (I use this). I would've liked another Fitbit zip but at over £40 at time of looking I decided to give the orb a bash & I really like it.
    :

I bought a Fitbug Orb today from Sainsburys. I've been monitoring steps today but not sure how you do the other stuff? Been using my iPad and iPhone apps. Tried to look on the website but struggling to find anything about fitness goals etc? Is there more if you log in on a PC?

  • Looks like its going to be a big catch up tonight.

tweets - I reckon they are just jealous too tweets. You are doing brilliantly and will know when its time to call target.

mumoftwo - probably not a good idea to miss class if you are feeling like that. We didn't do Image Therapy this week but went over the new stuff. Class was really busy with lots of new members. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

    yellowbird - welcome aboard

mich - your kung pao do dah looks delish. Have ordered DH a cheapy spiralizer from fleabay but don't tell him its going to be a surprise. Its coming from China so it might arrive in time for his birthday in April :rotfl:

Lois - DH is a real gem. Cooking has always been his thing and I am quite happy to keep out of his way and he is quite happy for me to keep out of the way until all the clearing away has to be done. He has been following SW alongside me and he has lost around 3st with maybe another 0.5st to go. The homity pie was lovely by the way. ;)

cte - well done on your loss and SOTW :T

tweets - thanks for putting link for homity pie.

Crabapple - I actually had some kingsmill hot cross buns in my hands today - they were so so fresh nom nom. I love them with cheese in the middle. But sanity prevailed thank goodness and I left them on the shelf. Don't worry about that piddly + that will soon go along with a few of his friends I am sure. ;)

greentiger - spiced pear muffins sound very naughty but very nice I bet. :rotfl:

Catcherupper and Lauri - brilliant losses :T

Shala - just settling down to watch the dieting enemies. Was hoping to enjoy it but not too sure now.

Counting Pennies - good luck ;)

Well that's me caught up now and I have managed to stick to SP for today. Realised a little while ago I only had one heb so I have just had a cuppa with 80g prunes so that should keep things moving nicely (sorry tmi ).

Does anyone know how many syns are in Allinsons brown snack rolls? I havent had any (yet) but want to check if they are allowed as a HEB?

Ok so, tuesdays plan so far i THINK is EESP *i hope*

B- granny smith apple (late for work as usual)
    Snack: pear
L- ham salad (chard, spinach, carrot, beetroot, celery, sugar snaps, lean ham and fat free dressing) & a VERY bitter clementine
D- pizza chicken with broccoli, sprouts & maybe carrots

HEA- feta cheese on chicken (am i right in thinking 45g - though i dont use it all)
    HEB's - undecided
Syns - nil as of posting

    Sounding ok or need tweaked?

Thanks for asking about the bread. When I checked the 60g I noticed that Burgen Soya and Linseed now counts as HEB. We really like that so I'll be buying it for a change.

I'd say your menu looks a little heavier on S than P unless you had a massive amount of ham! Dinner looks balanced but the other two meals definitely a bit light on protein. HTH.

Decided im having turkey lasagne tomorrow night - sick of looking at just lettuce lol! Ill probably have it with broccoli and sprouts but im not sure if its classed as EE or SP...

    Lean turkey mince (2% fat)
    Pasatta
Tomato puree & crushed garlic & also random spices
    Cherry tomatoes
    Small tin of chopped tomatoes
    Onion
    Wuster &soy sauce
    Stock cube

I plan on building it like the hairy bikers - ragu, blanched leeks (instead of lasagne sheets) then on the top my HEA of cheese & a 'white sauce' (spiced milk thickened woth cornflour).... i know there'll be syns but itll do me 4 days of dinner :-)

That looks like a good SP recipe. Funnily enough I thought about the Hairy Bikers leek lasagne when I heard about the plan.

I was reasonably well behaved at the carvery tonight. I had just one potato and fortunately they had mashed swede to fill me up. Passed on Yorkshires and watched friends eating pork crackling! Unfortunately I didn't pass on the wine syns. Had a couple of crackers and some stilton (Christmas) when I got home. I know it's not a HEA cheese but I'm counting it. 45g of feta is allowed whoever asked BTW.

Morning all. I'm not doing great so far this week whoops. I've bren goos inbetween weak moments of finishing of Christmas cheese and chocolate so am just hoping now for damage limitation until WI on Saturday. Maybe writing my food down here will help?

B: 4x ryvita rye (HeB) with apple and ham glued on with fat free nat yoghurt
L: Roasted veggies inc pots (it would have been more substantial had I not gone to bed early last night and woken up late this morning)
    Snack at work: satsuma
    D: not sure yet

HeA is likely to be my tea milk otherwise I'll syn it
    April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 250
  • Right then, so day 1 and back on it! Meal plans as followed....

    Breakfast: SW breakfast
Lunch: Grilled chicken and new potatoes with beetroot and egg whites (random but I like it)
Dinner: Pork chops, sw chips and peas

    HEA: 30g cheese
    HEB: bread
(Ham and cheese sandwich instead of 4th meal, lol)

Snacks/Syns: Grapes, apple, satsunas, curly whurly, salad cream (for lunch) and lean ham.

Hopefully I'll stick to the plan. I'm feeling motivated and off to the gym today too so fingers cross!

  • 1.5lb off for me please Shala!

Not great since I've put 4 on over Christmas but didn't really start the SP until New Years Day so had quite a lot of bad stuff before then, so happy just to lose.

Going to Beefeater tonight as we have a 50% off voucher, will just have a steak and salad I think

I've just watched the new Dr Christian program, I didn't like it, much preferred Supersize v Superskinny. I don't get how it's helpful to anyone, other than trying to get each of the pairs into arguments about their lifestyle choices :( disappointed.

I also watched the new Dr Christian show. To be fair I watched some of it when it was actually on and then some on plus 1 because I was faffing in the kitchen. I like watching these kind of shows because usually there is something of interest, a few tips I might pick up but I thought the Dr Christian show was just dull.

It was quite clear from the interview he did with the vegan that it had been cut because one second he was welcoming her to the sofa and the next she was on her way. What was the point of that? I didn't really pay much attention to the interviews with the fashion people (again because I was faffing in the kitchen so not able to watch it properly) but the concept just didn't do it for me. I expect I will continue to watch the series because *there might be* the odd tip I pick up but I much preferred the supersize/super skinny concept.

Like others have said, its kind of good to be getting back into a routine this week although I am not liking the early mornings especially as I haven't been sleeping too well the last couple of nights so not feeling the love for the alarm when it goes off and would much rather have duvet days on the sofa again!

I've got a menu of sorts today which was boiled eggs for breakfast, snacks planned of pear with cinnamon/tangerine/grapefruit.
    HEB option of pistachio nuts
Lunch planned of a small amount of leftover roast beef, lettuce leaves/beetroot and HEA of feta cheese

    and tea undecided
    but thinking of pasta......

Have a good day all xx

Oh I thought I might log my menu in the slimming world online diary - see how I get on with that?

and Shala, I am going to pledge to lose 10 pounds but I am simply going to report my weight loss at the end of the challenge if that is ok?
