    Morning all

Welcome to the new people and welcome back to the returners. :)

I had a sneaky peak this morning and was pleased to see I've lost my Christmas/New Year gain. Now I'm in a quandary whether I should count that towards my target or not. My lazy side says do, but I really want to challenge myself so maybe I won't.

Inazuma & Beanie - I used to love toffees but I avoid them like the plague now after eating one caused some very expensive dental work.

maman - you're a star, always there with a response to questions about the new plan :A

b-e-g - well done for the latest shiny. :j

I keep thinking about how to have an SP day but haven't managed it so far. Today's meal plan has already knocked it on the head as I had banana, kiwi and yogurt for breakfast again. Dinner is going to be steak, Actifry chips, peas and tomato which wouldn't really work without the chips!

TBH, as long as the weight is coming off, even if it's only 1 or 2 lbs a week, I'll continue with EE.

    Have a good day everyone.

    LL :)

Well, Lantanna - I am back and I need you and others to remind me that it is possible and just get of my backside and do something about it!!!!! I have received my SW magazine while I was away, but it got completely soaked in the letterbox, thatnks to postman stuffing thisngs the way that the box could not cbe closed!!!!!!! Will see if I am nage to read it at all, or will have to beg my friend to bring a copy from the UK when she comes to our holiday in few weeks.

Shala, thanks. So, My target for 1st of March is...

    10lb

You can and you shall!!! I am also sick of this - everything ends up ripped coz they stuff all the free stuff into them. I am also sick of my neighbours putting things in my bin!!

Time to get on it Missy!

Shala - Oooh the Fitbit sounds great. You know when you say its only 8 weeks to the 1st of March that frightens me - I've a wedding at Easter I need to look good for and I really would need to get on it now !!

I've got the little clip on fitbit, didn't need the wristband one.. Surprising how far you do walk doing things like shopping etc, but yes.. Also reminds you that some days are seriously inactive :o

I don't bother adding food intake to it, just log exercise and walk distances from map my fitness app..

Ate rubbish again at work.. Getting back on SP until WI or I'll lose that 4 stone shiny before I've even got my mitts on it!

  • good morning :)

Back and work and glad of the return to routine!

Breakfast: ready brek (HeB replacement) made with SS milk (from HeA) and a brew (milk from HeA)
Over the course of the morning I've had 3 werthers originals - think they are 1.5 each so call it 5syns
Lunch: leek and tattie soup plus Satsuma/s
mid afternoon: brew (milk from HeA)
Tea: not got a clue yet. Will need to use some syns. Wonder bairn is having cottage pie I made especially for her (portioned it up in to 4 small portions and froze three) followed by fruit and some yogurt. I may have a pasta and sauce - I have some Ragu pasta and Sauce packets which I think are 2.5 each made with water so I'll make one up and also do a load of veggies with it and mix it through. (had casserole last night so didn't fancy stew and dumplings tonight - will have that tomorrow though!)

Well done Blue Eyed Girl,:T first shiny for you for the year! I wonder what your last one of the year will be!! :j

Goodness only knows lantanna :D. As long as it's a good bit more than 5.5 that will be fine. I think my weight loss since I started SW back in April averages out at about 2lbs a week so if I can keep that up I will be a happy bunny. I know from everyones experience it seems so much easier to lose than to maintain but we will cross that bridge when we get to it. ;)

Here's the challenge post for anyone wants it..

Feeling really ropey today so spending the day in Bed/on sofa :( not sure about eating so I'll have a think in a bit. Still sticking to plan though because I'm determined not to have put loads on again!

Aw shala hope you are feeling better soon.

Great to have you back on the team ginvzt

DH has prepared lunch and dinner for me today while I have been out this morning. We have had falafels (SP) with salad then fruit for lunch. Then he has made homity pie using butter bean mash instead of potato (making it SP) and we will have extra veggies served with it. He made enough for 4 people so that will be some for tomorrow sorted. He tried to pick things so that I could do SP if I wanted - what a star he is :happyhear

We are out for afternoon tea tomorrow so I will just try and stay fairly free either side of that and try and do a bit of damage limitation.

    Bye for now

Thanks for the advice, Shala and Mich - I have used MyFitnessPal in the past, so that might work for me. Just worried I buy a Fitbit then can't figure out how to use it!

Haven't been to WI since before Christmas yet but am fairly certain I've now gone out of target range - top end! Am reining in the syns this week before WI on Thursday morning.
    Denise

Same here.:o I've been to group to get my new books and listen to the talks about the plan but I haven't weighed. I'm going to bite the bullet this week and then if I'm out of range it should really motivate me to be stricter with myself.
I don't think it was aimed at me as much, and people in my group seem to think that breakfast needs to have protein and Superfree, so basically a cooked breakfast every day and then cereal and milk.

Will be interesting to see the weight losses of the folks who said we'd trial it.

I'll be interested too. You had good losses beforehand jock so let's see if this week's even bigger. I'd be interested to know if anyone who's been a but stuck in the doldrums (tiny losses/STS) sees an improvement. Losing Christmas weight wouldn't really count in my book as I always think quickly on/quickly off.

I don't agree that you have to eat a cooked breakfast. I think what matters is that you don't eat other than what's included in the EESP plan. So having HEXs (cereal and milk?) or toast or even syns would be fine as I interpret it. What difference does it make what time of day you eat them? The pictures in the new book don't help as they show a breakfast with a banana:eek: and another with that food of the devil...yogurt!!:rotfl:

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, scrambled eggs, HEA milk in teas
L: LO casserole (no chicken so I'll add in some peas and broad beans).
D: out at carvery so hoping for the best
Syns: gravy, horseradish (and anything I can't resist);)
  • Welcome to all the newbies!

My new soup maker arrived today and I've just had the most delicious soup for lunch. I got the Morphy Richards Saute and soup, as I thought that the sauteing might get a bit more flavour in. Well I wasn't wrong! I sauted bacon and garlic before adding leeks, potatoes, stock and milk and it was the best soup I've had in a long time!

    B- Muller Greek (0.5), clementine
L - Bacon, leek potato soup (HEA), wholemeal bread (HEB)
    D - Sechuan pork (2), cucumbers, rice, sorbet (5)
    S - Bananas, clementines, choc biscuit? (4)
