Evening all, had a go at sp today but it turned into just a low carb day.

    B - RB, honey
L - HM pea & ham soup [had spud in :(], half a GF roll, 2 cherry toms.
    S - bb's, pineapple, yog [not sp :(]
T - omelette, ham, onion, toms, cheese, tin of plum toms, bbq sauce
    HEs - A - cheese, B - RB & GF roll
Syns - 15 [maybe a bit more as more cheese than expected]

So not SP but plenty in there and low carbs so gotta help hasn't it?
    Will try again tomorrow :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • Well I was going to come on and say I was going to have half an hour to myself since wonder barn was settled...then she screamed until I went to her so no time to myself :( an this is my danger time for snacking as I then expect to be up and down all night so end up snacking/grazing loads :( very frustrating. So far I've had two scotch pancakes and I'm desperate for chocolate :/ bah

Anyone able to tell me the syns in soda stream clear mango-Apple? Ta no artificial flavours or sweetners

  • Hi everyone!!

I've been MIA for around 6 weeks due to health and christmas commitments! Hoever i'm back now, and raring to go!! I'm starting back on the SW plan (on my own) from Wednesday as tomorrow I have a party. I also go a gym membership for christmas so there is no excuse now! So i need to come back if I can to join in for support and encouragement!

Will be spending tomorrow going through my books and will pop to chemist to get weighed. I've done a huge meat shop so I have plenty in to make lovely meals!

Is there a challenge I can join in please? Or is it too late?

 I didn't realise that Alpen light bars were no longer a HEB  clearly that shows how long it has been since I went to group or read the book :o

Maybe I should join and get all the info?

They are- definitely. It's the 70 cal ones. They changed the recipe for a little while and they stopped being a HEXB but there was such an outcry they reverted and they were reinstated. They're now even classed as a speed food :)

I have the carb flu. :( I'm proper Ill with it :( I think I'm going to go back to eating carbs- my headache is horrendous and as for the dizziness and nausea :(

  • Hi,

Does anyone know if asda chosen by you fat free natural cottage cheese 300g tub has any syns? By the way it's not the 70 percent on.

    Thanks
  • Hi, forgot to ask! Is there a new SW plan this year? Something was mentioned last year, about getting rid of SS foods? Wondering if its worth joining a group to get the new book if there is one?

Well done on the weight losses!

I've ordered a Fitbug today - half price from Sainsburys! Will hopefully encourage me to move my body a bit more!

Definitely worth joining a group even if you go for just the first week to get a new set of books and hear about the 'new' plan. I believe there are vouchers in some magazines (Woman?) so you could end up just paying £5.

The plan isn't really new. It's a sort of revamped version (carbs removed) of Success Express if you want fast weightloss, that's just for temporary use. Then there's the old Extra Easy but the SF list (now called S for Speed) has been revised with some fruits removed. Green and Red still exist but only on line, not in the books any more.

1.5 syns for 100g, but the 70% one is free.

I can find mango and passion fruit or apple. Both are 2 syns for 250 mls made up.

I'm finding myself doing much as tie. I'm mindful that I should lose faster without carbs so I'm cutting back. So very few potatoes with the casserole tonight. I think part of the strangeness is the habit of cutting into a potato is just part of the way we eat. I'm cutting my carrots extra chunky as a sort of substitute and I roasted some yesterday to cut back on pots and parsnips. I'm out for a carvery tomorrow. I do hope there's plenty of choice of veg.

I won't join the challenge as I'm at target but really hoping to be in the lower end of range soon as I don't feel like it post Christmas. That's what my jeans are telling me.;)

I'm sure that's not true.. Then again I'd say the same about myself.. Think we all see the faults in ourselves more than others do.. :o

Thanks so much for the kind words everyone x

My fitbit reminds me everyday that I don't move my backside enough! :rotfl:

Haven't been to WI since before Christmas yet but am fairly certain I've now gone out of target range - top end! Am reining in the syns this week before WI on Thursday morning.

    Back to EE again today:

B - scrambled eggs on toast; satsuma
    L - HM carrot & coriander soup
D - Chilli & rice; chilli will have plenty of veg in it. Will cook it in the SC so that I can just put it on and forget about it.

HEA - milk in teas throughout the day
    HEB - toast

No syns planned at the moment but have pink n whites and flying saucers in the cupboard which I can have if I fancy something sweet. (There's also a huge box of chocolates but don't want to start on those!!!!)
