My head is spinning. Can somebody please tell me in very simple terms what is the benefit of this EESP? I thought EE was supposed to be marvellous ..... Why are they changing it?
Is it good? It seems complicated to me.0 -
So that's nearly the end of day one. I have been sooo hungry all day, and I don't understand why because I've had days where I've eaten much less. It's been fairly carb heavy which could be a reason, I normally have meat with my lunch and dinner too. Might need to find a way for some more protein.
pre-breakfast snack: banana
breakfast: oats so simple, chopped up apple and cinnamon on top with s/s milk (heb/hea)
snack: another banana
lunch: jacket potato, cottage cheese with a side salad
snack: 3xryvita with 5 laughing cow light triangles (heb/hea)
dinner: butternut squash, cauliflower and spinach curry (homemade) with rice
syns: 1 x cadbury mini ice cream (3), tiny slice of cake that was more strawberry than cake (??)
Also downloaded an app on my phone to track my water consumption and I am not drinking anywhere near enough, so that's another goal for this week. Need to make sure I get an early night tonight for the gym in the morning.
Watching the biggest loser finale now, it's so impressive how they've all done!0 -
Hello all, sorry no time to read back today, back to work and knackered!
Ashamed to report a 1lb gain (but considering I was off plan most of the week, it's not bad) at weigh in tonight. Total of 3.5lbs gain over Christmas and New Year weeks.
Shala, does the challenge start this week? If so, sorry I've added another pound to be lost so need to lose 15lbs by March. Hope I haven't messed up your chart
Ok, this time next week I will be reporting a decent loss, I've promised myself!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Today was a tricky eating day
I was trying to have a EE day but I think I got my ideas mixed with EESP and ended up eating a random mix of food :rotfl:
Breakfast - papaya with lime, yoghurt and an alpen light (HEB)
Lunch - HM layered ham salad with carrots, peppers, cucumbers then two plums and an alpen light (HEB)
Snack - 2 slice 440g loaf (HEB)and 30g chedder (HEA)
Dinner - Quorn sausages, swede, carrot and sprouts with quark and an options sachet for dessert.
The snack was not planned but I was ravenous when I got in and ate it before my dinner
I need to really think about my meals as I was hungry all day and it was only through will power that I didn't eat chocolate and I know on slimming world you are never meant to be hungry.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Another attempt at an EE day today
B: raisin wheats, almond milk & tea (HEB, 1/2 HEA)
L: HM butternut squash & sweet potato soup, KM 50/50 think, scrape of tesco spread & LF cheese (free, 4.5 syns, 3 syns & 1/2 HEA)Lean beef curry, mushrooms, onions & actifry chips (4 syns mayflower curry sauce, free & 2 syns for oil in actifry)
Snacks: apple & hifi bar (3 syns)
So a little over in my syns with 16.5, was meant to have boiled rice with my curry but at the last minute really fancied the chips. Might try them with frylight in the actifry and see how they are, will save a few syns.
Weigh in tomorrow so will see how I've got on with my week of attempts at the EE plan after only ever doing mainly green with a few red days here and there.
I have a stupid question about the challenge - is our WI this week included or is it after we've done a full week of the challenge? Just so I know if I need to report in with (hopefully) a red -
Bit late but I've really enjoyed this series of the biggest loser, I've only seen a few episodes here and there of previous series but have seen most of this one. The difference in them all is crazy, I hope they can keep it off when they're at home.
Meg - your reply to the msg from that fella made me laugh really hard! Brilliant :rotfl:
Shala - thank you for the chart, that is a lot of weight we are all hoping to lose :j0 -

They aren't really changing EE, it's the same as ever but they've simplified a few of the categories like there's no FF and HH and stuff. EESP is designed to be used for a week to kickstart things or for the odd day here and there and is about 50/50 Protein/Speed food, less carbs so no unlimited free pasta/rice/potatoes.
My meals today were EESP. My snacks however were shameful. I really need a kick up the backside again

Oh, and Meg, that's a lovely story - at least for us all getting a laugh
My brother met his lovely wife online (I think it was on Match). He did say however that she was far from the first person he corresponded with, or indeed met, and there are some real nutters out there! So I hope you find a nice one sooner rather than later:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Thanks for the replies- yes I am going to stick with the 'old' EE way that I understand.
End of day one and I have just cut myself an apple and 30g cheese- looked everywhere for my cheese- had thrown it in the bin with the apple core! Plonker or what?!lovin' this site!
:j0 -
Mich - your pictures are good inspiration you look fantastic now - well done !!
My food today was:
B - pink grapefruit and benefit chocolate and fudge bar (Healthy
L - chicken, lettuce, tomato, cucumber
D - SW chilli con carne and rice
Snacks - Skinny Cow lolly caramel shortcake (4.5 syns), hi fi light (3 syns), going to have celery with healthy A cheese while watching broadchurch.
Today I lost 1/2 lb for the challenge please Shala (if it counts). I also miraculously won slimmer of the week as most of my group had gained last week so were not eligible. Disappointed with 1/2 a pound but no matter how slow it is the right direction.0
