Hello all, new year starts from now.
What a lot of new people - I love that! There are so many posts, I'm not making any comments. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back in the swing properly.
Over the festive period I put on 3lbs, which is less then I expected, BUT .... it put me back behind that big 13 stone wall grrrr. No one to blame but me. I've changed my WI to Mondays, to coincide with my new start and I'll report my first result to our Wondrous Overseer next Monday.
For a fresh start today was not good
Breakfast: raspberries and Total 0% fat yogurt
Snack: 2 Garibaldi biscuits (4 syns)
Lunch: (out with friend) gravadlax & salad (avoided most of the dressing), fish goujons, peas and chips, 10p sized shortbread round
Dinner: chicken Balmoral (but I didn't eat the haggis stuffing because I don't like haggis) and carrots
I think I will soon struggle with menus, because I have a freezer stuffed full of food which I can't afford to let go to waste - and it's really not SW friendly. I won't be buying much else in, other than fruit & veg, until I've made a big dent in it, so I'll just have to see how things go.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
First day on EESP was tough going. I never realised how much I love my carbs! I'm not too optimistic about sticking to it for the full week but I'll try my best.
Bought myself a Fitbit todayI've wanted one for ages but I was sure some of my family were going to get it for me for Christmas. I really should know better by now. Every year they complain that I'm impossible to buy for. I drop the most unsubtle hints ever. And end up with SPA vouchers and gift sets that I don't need! Have it all set up now so aiming for at least 10000 steps a day and going to monitor my water intake aswell because I'm pretty sure I'm way off the recommended intake. Bring on the massive weight loss on Sunday

Total lost 1st 3.5lbs :j Week 40 -
Back from wi and reporting in with a massive loss of -0.5lb which also meant I got my 5.5 stone shiney at last :j
In all honesty I had hoped for a bigger loss as I had a sts last week. However, DH has said tonight that I cannot be doing too badly to survive Christmas and New Year without a gain. Doesn't seem too bad looking at it that way. Should be very much on plan this week except we are are out for afternoon tea on Wednesday.
DH had made a lovely tea/supper for me for when I got back - hm burger in bun, with potato wedges and salad and he also made some bbq sauce. It was delish. Just having a cuppa now accompanied by 6 spiced chocolate almonds (Lidl) - don't know how many syns but I have been virtually syn free so far today so should be ok.

Hi everyone,
My first weigh in for the new year this morning and I have lost 4lbs. Really pleased, as I had expected a loss of about 2lbs. There were quite a few other members with good losses too!
Shala, if its not too much trouble could I change my target for the challenge to 10lbs please?New Year New You Challenge - 13.5lbs/10lbs

Well, my first day doing this wasn't too bad, although I couldn't weigh out my HEB properly as the scales were out of battery! And I also had some cheese with my sliced meats and pickles so that was syns.
It does seem a bit odd not to have carbohydrates with a meal but I guess you get used to it.
I also walk the dog for a good hour or more, so a bit of exercise.
Tomorrow will be:
BF all bran, milk and some fruit.
Lunch: ham salad
Dinner: Gammon and vegetables.
so if I understand correctly the EESP is only a short term thing?Trying to keep in budget.

Well done on your losses folks.
BEG - to have lost 0.5lbs over the whole of xmas and new year is great. Just think what would you have done in previous years and then add that to your total loss too, as that is what you didn't put on!
Well that is the end off all the bits left over in our house that I am partial to finished at lunchtime and at suppertime tonight. Looking forward to joining the group tomorrow although a bit anxious as to what the scales may say.0 -
Thanks Maisie. Good luck with your class tomorrow. Our class was really busy with lots of new members. Wonder how many will still be there in a few weeks. Consultant hoping to increase numbers so that she can get an extra earlier evening class on so I hope she manages that soon.
