Happy New Year! Hello, ladies and gentleman, how are you all?
I haven't been here for a while, since my work trip to Greece, and then we had the long drive to my family for Christmas and only got back home yesterday evening. I am drawing a line on what I did and ate over Christmas. I put half a stone over those weeks, and even though I am not happy to have te extra weight on me, I am not going to sit and cry around. Draw the line and move on.
We are going for another week in CenterParcs in just under 3 weeks, and I need to get some of this bulge of me by then. Even if it is just 5lb.
I had no chance to read all the new shiny thread, so can someone please tell me if there is new challenge to join and when it ends?
I have my challenge for the year, which is 4st, but I need to break it into more managable chunks.
It will take me a few days to get back in the SW swing, but I am coming back to annoy you all!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Our group is littering our area with leaflets so check your workplace kitchen or your letterbox. There is an offer for half price membership in it.
Weigh in tonight, be interesting to see how I've done. I'm done with the SP plan, had a jacket potato last night.
I don't think it was aimed at me as much, and people in my group seem to think that breakfast needs to have protein and Superfree, so basically a cooked breakfast every day and then cereal and milk.
Will be interesting to see the weight losses of the folks who said we'd trial it.0 -
I have managed to cobble together a meal plan of sorts but I need to work on it and plan my lunches properly and also I don't know yet what I am eating tonight and Wednesday! I've found planning my breakfasts relatively easy but have struggled with lunch and main meal ideas.
Today's menu includes boiled eggs for breakfast with my HEB for bread. Snacks include chopped pear with cinnamon, orange segments and red grapes and the grapefruit I didn't eat yesterday. Lunch is rocket leaves with roast beef, beetroot and feta cheese (HEA)
Dinner is undecided!0 -
Whiplashy - Please let us know how the Fitbit goes, I would be interested in getting one of these. I was looking at them before Christmas but was unsure as I’ve not heard much about them from anybody.
Greentiger – Make your dent in the freezer but just have smaller portions and bulk out every plate with salad and veg and you should be ok
I’m still chomping on the cheese, I could have another gain this week truthfully but hey at least I know I am slowly returning to being back on it could be much much worse! I am getting there. Just very hard to go from a feast to a famine as such
Well done Blue Eyed Girl,:T first shiny for you for the year! I wonder what your last one of the year will be!! :j
Beanielou – Get that toffee out of the house!!! You have been told
Ginvt – I have missed you and your tales of Pigs Ears_pale_ and the like! Welcome back. Shala will tell you of the New Challenge details though I believe this weeks wi is this first. I had 5 lbs on over the 2 weeks and could see another gain this week if its any consolation!
Not at all organised today and def just clinging to extra easy and not EESP which is what I would need to be doing rite now
B: Yogurt & Oats (HeB) / 2 Satsumas
L: Mughsot (slept in and just lifted for handiness) 2 x Baby Bel Light ( HeA)Fish of some sort and some sort of veg
I don't eat cheese with fish so I need to do anything to keep myself off the cheese:eek:

Whiplashy - or anyone else who uses one - I'd also be interested to hear what you think of the Fitbit, I'd love one but am a bit skint at the moment!
Beanie - Watch out for those toffees, a nice man with a big basket of Quality Street offered me one at the checkout just before Christmas, and my filling was out before I'd even got to the car park!
Very impressed with some of the STS and losses here over Christmas!0 -
Inazuma.. He doesn't like a nice man to me!! :rotfl:
I've had a Fitbit for a few years now and although it's never motivated me loads it does show exactly how much you're not doing  which does make you feel guilty enough to try and do a bit more..I do like wearing it when I go shopping though, you do loads of steps, it's fab and gives you a sense of achievement for shopping!!
It's really good if you ever want to join Myfitnesspal as it links up and works out extra calories or reduces your calories if you've sat on your bum all day and MFP in turn sends the calories you've eaten over to the Fitbit app. At the time I bought mine I think Fitbit was one of the only ones to link up, but I think they probably all do it now.
The only thing I didn't use much was the sleep monitor, I know whether I've had a good/bad sleep or not. I don't need a machine to tell me.Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
This may not be the time for posting this but i'm not out partying and there's nowt on the telly so

If you are just joining us you may not be aware of the bi-monthly challenge that we run which you are welcome to join.
The new challenge will run from week commencing the 5th January and finish on the 1st March - this gives us 8 weeks.
If you wish to join in with us then please post your target loss for the 8 weeks in red* or bold or massive or all of the above so that I can see it really easily!
As you can imagine this thread is going to go supersonic with all the new people joining us so I will miss your post if you don't help me out
I will post the chart each week on a Monday showing the prior weeks losses and singling out the person who has lost the most so we can make a great big fuss over them :T
Any questions please let me know - it doesn't matter which day you get weighed just let me know your loss on the day you get weighed and i'll add it to the correct week (maybe, if I don't get confused!)
I will start the ball rolling and declare an 10lb target for myself
Thank you...
* or purple for Beanie and TIE
Here's the challenge post for anyone wants it..
Feeling really ropey today so spending the day in Bed/on sofanot sure about eating so I'll have a think in a bit. Still sticking to plan though because I'm determined not to have put loads on again!

Wow, this thread is moving really fast now.
Welcome to all newbies - I came in at the very end of the last thread and have found everyone very helpful and supportive.
I tried a day of SP yesterday - weigh-in later today so I will see what happens. I was very busy yesterday, very little time to myself, so I couldn't raid the fridge for goodies. I'd also prepped my meals without potatoes etc, so if I wanted to eat at a reasonable time I had to do without. It didn't feel at all difficult in those circumstances.
I was drinking tea all day, so my syns were the additional milk to my HEXA.
Plan for today -
No breakfast (up too late)
Snacks - fruit - before it goes off.
Lunch - salmon, couscous, salad
Dinner - I may make a sausage casserole with low fat sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms and onions and have it with green veg and a jacket potato - if the sausages defrost in time.0 -
Well, Lantanna - I am back and I need you and others to remind me that it is possible and just get of my backside and do something about it!!!!! I have received my SW magazine while I was away, but it got completely soaked in the letterbox, thatnks to postman stuffing thisngs the way that the box could not cbe closed!!!!!!! Will see if I am nage to read it at all, or will have to beg my friend to bring a copy from the UK when she comes to our holiday in few weeks.
Shala, thanks. So, My target for 1st of March is...
10lb
