Although yesterday didn't have enough SFs for EE I did manage to keep the syns down to 9 so not as bad as it could have been.

Have planned a Green day for today:

    B - BLT (HEB1 - bread; HEB2 - bacon) brown sauce 1; butter 3.5
L - egg salad with balsamic dressing
D - Jacket potato with baked beans and cheese (HEA1)

HEA2 will be milk in tea throughout the day.

So far only 4.5 syns planned but may have a fruit split this evening.

    Good Morning Lovely Human Beans,

I've said this before but I'll say it again. I just can't keep up with this thread!! If I miss a comment aimed at me, I'm truly sorry. If I don't reply in person to everyone's comments I feel so guilty. There are two things it would help me if you all bear in mind; Frogs read very slowly, and feel guilty about everything. So please don't take offence if I don't make personal; comments back about your posts, I'd be on here all day as I just can't keep up!

I haven't caught The Biggest Loser Crab apple. Is it an American version? I've watched a British one before when it was on ITV with Davina McCall and I really enjoyed it. I've caught the odd episode of various series on digi channels but, they are a little bit too, how can I put it, too American. Sorry!

I've been thinking about a name for the challenge. How about ~

Forget Fat, Find Fitness Forever in Fifteen!

    I love a bit of alliteration ;)

I won't officially enter the challenge. Past experience has told me I'm just setting myself up to fail. I'm not going to weigh myself either as I just can't face it. As soon as I start eating well, I fell SO MUCH BETTER in my head, and then the scales go and spoil it all by reminding me I'm still very chubby. However I will be trying hard along with you, and will weigh in on the last day of week 8 where I will have thrashed the pants off of you and run off with the prize!

    Hoppy Monday friends xx

  • This thread has grown since I popped in yesterday - I will catch up with you all later.

I have planned to try an SP day today - I hope I have it right.

breakfast - porridge (HEB) and a Satsuma
lunch - Ham and egg salad with crispbread (HEB) apple
dinner - casserole with beef, onions, celery, spring greens, carrots and oxo gravy
HEA will be milk in tea.

I don't know about syns yet - a biscuit or two when I have coffee with a friend later perhaps.

Hi there- can I join too please?
I did SW last year and lost 1st4llb but it has piled on again (plus a little bit more!). I now weigh in at 14st 4 and 3/4lbs which at 5ft 2" aint good! I feel sluggish physically but more importantly mentally so need to give myself a kick up the proverbial and get back on the wagon! I cant afford the classes (reason I gave up last year) so a support group on line would be helpful. I'm 50 at the end of February and would like to be a stone (at least) lighter by then.

Breakfast 30gr oats in muller light
lunch ham and rice salad with fruit
dinner chicken breast with jacket potato and salad with a veg soup.
saving my syns for a packet of crisps tonight and maybe a kit kat with coffee this pm. HE will be 30gr cheese as I don't take milk in drinks etc.

Fingers crossed I can stick with it cus I am beginning to feel a little desperate !
    lovin' this site!

Well I've completed my first week ever and I'm very pleased to say I've lost 2lbs!
Not a lot but as I am within my BMI range (albeit the top end:D) it works out as 1.5% of my body weight, so I'm more than happy with that. Unlike a lot of you, I'm following the plan mainly to regulate how/what/where I eat as I've developed a very unhealthy approach to eating[STRIKE] recently[/STRIKE] for a long time now - 3 bags of crisps and 2 chocolate bars has made a worryingly frequent dinner:eek:
Finding the EE plan very easy to follow and have definately benefited from knowing what I am allowed to eat[STRIKE] even though I cheated a bitat the weekend[/STRIKE]

    Today I will have
    B. Banana and yogurt
    L. leftover chilli. 1 slice bread HEB
    D. pasta, veg and tomato sauce

Don't know about syns yet as have a busy day and might not have too much time to eat them. Have got some maltesers left from Christmas though and you get a lot for your allowance, so maybe those

    Hiya

A few [STRIKE]friends[/STRIKE] people who know I need to lose weight have been telling me about the 5:2 diet in the Daily Fail and I did try it last year - well, my version of it anyway. I can't abide counting calories so DH and I set aside 1 day a week which was carb and alcohol free, figuring that would reduce our calorie intake quite a lot providing the food we ate was still reasonably healthy. We intended to increase it to 2 days a week, but never quite managed it!

I've been thinking that doing EESP for 2 days each week could have a similar effect and would avoid the boredom factor.

Like Jocko I'm not sure how much difference it would make to me over a longer period as I tend to have the equivalent of a HEB of potato, pasta or rice anyway and don't tend to eat between meals so not being able to have Muller light and leftover free foods wouldn't affect me.

    LL :)

Welcome to the thread. Just a couple of comments:

Oats as HEB are now 35g rather than 30g so making it a bit more filling.

Cheese as HEA you can have either 30g of full fat cheddar but if you have the low fat cheddar you can have 40g - I usually use a very fine grater and it makes it look even more than that!

Hope you find these comments helpful.
