Good work, bay-tree-cottage, prosperina and candyapple.
Hiya, kareni50 and Bev83. I see you found empty chairs - I hope they're comfy.
Thanks for the recipe link, Smedley.
Happy birthday, maman – make it a good one(Interpret that as you wish!)

Wow, I seem to have spent hours last night and this morning trying to catch up since Sunday! I must get into the habit of writing down who to congratulate - there's always so many of you!
Well done cte for SOTW and happy birthday Maman and belated birthday Shala. Love all of the dresses that have been posted!
Massive congrats to all for the losses - some really fab numbers.
I've lost -0.5 this week. I'm happy with that after my excesses on Sunday (I've got a feeling my post might have been lost, but it involved wine and chocolate cheesecake).0 -
Welcome Bev and you as well Karen.
We gave a lovely set of folk on here, all willing to help you if you get stuck or need any help whatsoever. Don't be afraid to ask.0 -
Welcome to the thread:wave:
I have a similar problem as my DH loves crisps, cheesy biscuits, sweets, choc - you get the picture! I'm quite lucky in that I'm not keen on crisps and don't have too much of a sweet tooth - but I do like to keep some low syn snacks/choc in the house for when I feel the need to join him!
At the moment my current favourite is Magic Stars - a small bag is 3.5 syns or, if you are able to leave them alone once the bag is opened, you can get a big bag and just count out 12 stars which is how many you get in the small bags. I've also bought some of the baked Viscount biscuits and they are also 3.5 syns.
It is also worth planning your meals out for the week but if that seems too much then try planning for just 2-3 days at a time. That way you are far less likely to eat food which is off plan.
Denise
Thanks for the tips Denise. I'm not too bad with chocolate, crisps are my biggest enemy. My new tactic is to encourage other half to only buy crisps I don't like so we'll see how that goes.
I have already told him that after class tonight we'll be sitting down to work out our plan for the next week.
Between that and getting back to class tonight after a week off (I was away in Dublin consuming my bodyweight in food and alcohol!) I'll hopefully get myself back on track.

Happy Birthday Maman
Shala, I have a cat that looks very much like yours, including the permanent grumpy expression!
Welcome to the newbies, hope we can help. This is a lovely thread and a great place to get advice.
I'm having leftover stirfry for an SP lunch. Unfortunately I got a bit carried away with the yellow stickered stuff yesterday, and I've got to make another stirfry tonight! Will shake up the veg and flavours a little bit at least
I plan to make a cottage pie tomorrow but hubby wouldn't go for the carrot and swede mash idea so I've had to agree to make one that is half topped with that and half with normal potato!

Afternoon all! I'm one exam down and one to go, feeling pretty positive about how this morning and looking forward to this time tomorrow, when it'll all be over!
Lois Lane and anyone else affected by the loo issues, I swear by prunes and a warm hot water bottle under my back. I find the fruit helps too
Smedley re the HEXb issues, would you not maybe fancy the hi-light bars from group or maybe a handful of nuts? I have the exact opposite issue, I can't get enough of the B's!!
:hello: to bev and karen!
Maman Happy Birthday! You are aware that everything has a syn value of 0 today, yes?? :rotfl:
Well, yesterday back on plan was a smashing success, as long as none of you ask me where the packs of salted caramel and choc orange hilight bars that I bought in group yesterday morning are!!! I need to get my jaw wired up. I honestly think I need some sort of intervention :rotfl:
Today is now a green day after I assessed what I had done with my "healthy" lunch:
b: wholegrain porridge (hexa/b)
l: tesco healthy living soup (7 syns), wholemeal roll (hexb2), quorn chicken slices (free) light salad cream (1) tomato and lettuce
d: baked potato, quorn burger, broccoli, thousand island dressing (light 1 syn)
HEXa2 is 3x mini babybels, got lots of speed fruit and free yog to snack on.
Just got that salted caramel green tea, I'm assuming it's free because it only has 1 cal but will have to check, knowing my luck it'll be 10 syns a teabag and I'll not know until I've necked the box!!! I am laughing as I type this, what a shambles I am at the moment!!!!
Have a great day everyone xxxx0 -
