    Has anyone tried the recipe.... Pretend Ferrero Rocher ?

    I've bought all the stuff but still haven't made them out of fear of eating them all. So i'm gonna do it over the weekend when my 3 kids will be fighting over them too! ;)

    Has anyone ever started feeling clumsy while on the SW plan?
    I am constantly bumping into door catches, door handles, & doing clumsy thoughtless things, this is not my normal mode of operation, strange!

    I'm a REALLY clumsy person! (Around 11 broken bones).... I think i might start blaming SW ;)

    No tho, can't say I noticed a difference to before the diet.

    Morning :)

    Can anyone suggest a guaranteed remedy for constipation? Sorry if this is too much info. :o I was showing a good result on the scales on Monday but I haven't been since then and now I'm not. I need a miracle by tomorrow!

    This is me! I'm gonna eat a box of grapes today to try and get things moving. Feel really bloated. Hope you get *ahem* cleared out soon :o

    Someone asked me if I had my chips the other night (Sorry I lost track on who it was!). Yep, I did! And they were delicious! Got 3 bags between 5 of us. I didn't however have a slice of bread with them. Normally I do.

    Diet has been so-so last couple of days. Haven't made it to the gym yesterday and won't today either. My back is hurting a bit and feel a little run down. I'll be going in the morning though after I've been weighed.

    Just put some topside in the slow cooker for my tea. Working till 6 so gonna look forward to beef, sw chips and gravy for tea. Will be having a bun too (5 syns). Breakfast is my healthy extras. Lunch is a quick tin of spaghetti hoops and snacks for the day are grapes to get things moving. Not sure what else i'm having. Not feeling very motivated or organised today.

    CP xx

    For an example, made some hard boiled eggs, burned myself on the steam venting from the egg cooker, then put the eggs (to cool them), in a jug of water filled nearly to the top.
    Then I put my hand into the jug to remove the eggs, and water everywhere!!!
    Same day walked into the pub kitchen before I realised it was not the toilet!

    Damn, I am not usually so absent minded.

    At least I have taken note, I am taking maman's advice, and tweaking my plan.

    _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/

    I am also increasing my meal protein meat protein to 100-150g, it is okay saying 2 large chicken breasts will feed four on an SW menu, but was the chicken a dinosaur chicken?
    The SW recipe books could help with portion weights, especially protein and carbs.

    I made bang bang chicken noodles, and ended up only having 65g chicken per person, that cannot be correct; also had to add more veg?

    Until I learn more, I can foresee more confusion.

    thanks

  • LoisLane - Go to the chemist and ask for some lactulose solution, a 500ml bottle is about £6 but you can get smaller ones. Take the largest dose it says you can. Drink some water with it. It'll sort you out short term.

    Tinned Soups - Never really seen the point as a HEB, I'd rather use the HEB on cereal or nuts if I have a spare one. Soups are dead easy to make free.

    I have to agree there, HM soup is so easy and inexpensive and more nutritious.
    I do have some in the cupboard, just for a quick fill up though.

  • Went to my first weigh in last night, and was pretty pleased to learn I am -3.5lbs this week. :j

    There were TONS of people there, the queue was round the room when I arrived, and about another 8 or so new members but only four people stayed to group.

    I guess it was only the first "proper" week, since the group only opened last week, but it was a little bit disappointing. The consultant seemed to spend more than half the time talking to the newbies while I flicked through a magazine, then 10 minutes talking to the four of us and off we went.

    The people who did stay were all lovely and friendly and chatty, so that was nice but it wasn't quite as I anticipated. Was debating getting a countdown but I need to wait till payday anyway, I think I will also wait and have a few more weeks to see whether it picks up a bit before I commit too much.

    I am in agreement about the soup: most of the soup I make tends to be free. TBH, I don't understand necessarily what makes certain canned soups a HEB. I batch cook soup on a weekend for lunches and last week where I had a HEB spare I took a wholemeal roll with me for dunking purposes. It was French Onion soup though so although yummy needed some bulking out. Appreciate that's not so helpful if you don't like bread. Maybe the soup needs to be chunkier - veg, lentils, pearl barley - so it's more filling?

    I also thought meat portions were meant to be around 80-100g, but I am not sure whether I made that up or if it came from a reliable source :rotfl: Coming from a family who only ever did one portion size (flipping huge) I never thought that was enough. It's easier in things like spaghetti bolognese, chilli or stews, but I think harder for me when it's meat and two veg as it makes me want to overload my plate.

    My plans for this week are to:

    * Keep drinking water;
    * Walk 10,000 steps every day;
    * Play squash tonight and spinning tomorrow;
    * Make more of my meals syn-free and use the syns on the good stuff;
    * Vary my healthy extras a bit more - was milk and bread every day last week;
    * Going away somewhere swanky on Monday night, so want to enjoy the five course tasting meal in the evening and yummy breakfast while sticking to plan as much as I can. ;)

    Hope you all have a lovely day x

    Hi Karen, welcome to the thread.
    SP is good short term. If you are struggling why not do every other day or SP through the day and have carbs with you evening meal.
