    Good Afternoon :)

    MeandO :hello:

    Welcome to the thread :)

And so say all of us!

A few cheap, quick ideas: Why don't you buy in the ingredients for a stir fry (mushrooms, peppers, spring onions) and have that with cheap dried noodles either using a bought sauce or just some garlic and soy and five spice. The same veg would make an omelette/frittata and I'd use part of a tin of potatoes, sliced up to make it a more substantial meal. That could be eaten hot or cold, ideal for snacking on when you get in. Or you could pinch some of LOs ham and just have it with egg and fried potatoes and some pickles (onions, beetroot). I agree (I would!!:D) about upping the Speed food, especially veg. That doesn't include bananas so try to stick to apples, pears and oranges. Jacket potatoes are quick and easy, I like cottage cheese with a spring onion sliced in and a pile of beetroot alongside. I find pickles are very good for adding Speed food.

Not the cheapest but this is an easy treat at the weekend:

I like it with SW chips, tomatoes and mushrooms but it would be good in a HEB roll and you could eat it cold. Oh and it's syn free!!

It is so hard lush when things come to a standstill. Over the last 3 weeks or so, I have stuck to the book and only lost a few half pounds and then all of a sudden I had a great result this week by doing nothing differently. When the scales don't reflect the work you have put in it would be so easy to say 'what's the bl00dy point of it all'. Hang on in there it will pay off soon.

I'm a great believer that whatever you do catches up with you eventually lush whether good or bad. As you know the plan so well I'm sure you can't be making mistakes so all this good work will show up eventually and you'll have a good loss like beg said.

    I officially hate SP :(
It involves far too much thinking and not enough eating :D

I think I'd be hard pressed to think of it day on day so I've just had odd days and then some lunches. I think the most 'normal' way to do SP is to substitute carrot/swede mash for potato mash in a cottage pie or mini roast type meal. I've had lentil and veg soup for lunches or omelettes or bubble & squeak (made after a SP dinner) with cold meat.

I really like the dress beg. I'm sure you could find occasions to wear it!:)

On the subject of dresses, I spotted this one in Asda and thought it would be nice for a wedding we are going to in August but I would hope that I will need a smaller size by then and cannot really justify the cost of buying it now as I don't really go out that much where I would need to wear a dress - bit overkill for Sainsbobs on a Friday morning do you think. :rotfl:

Delighted to hear you have an interview, Mrs_R. Good luck. :)

Way to go, retiredlady and Matron!

Hello, MeandO. You’ll find there are lots of helpful people here.

b_e_g, I do like that dress. I’ve just ordered the curvy girls for my kindle. Thanks for the recommendation. Don’t know when I’ll get round to reading it – I’ve a backlog! It was me who read Fat Chance on lantanna’s recommendation. It was fun.

Today was ok, if you don’t count the blueberry muffin that fell out of the freezer into the microwave and then into me! These things have no respect for barriers! Only other syns today went on gravy (1 syn) and on the tsp of butter/oil mix brushed on the delicious hasselback potatoes(2 syns). I really should have use Fry Light but my brain must have been full of blueberry muffin! Later I will have my hexa, in cheese form, with grapes, so no more syns.

    Thursday’s Menu
Breakfast: hexb toast & jam (1 syn)
Lunch: prawn mayo jacket (1 syn) and salad
Dinner: spaghetti Bolognese with hexa Permesan

I hope you all battle the eating demons successfully. See you all tomorrow.

Well it said that it made 28 to 30 but I only had 23 so mine would be more than 1 syn each. I do keep thinking about them it's a good job they're in the kitchen and I am in the lounge or I would keep eating them, until there would be none left.
I am trying my best not to over indulge ha ha !:rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you! That's a good idea for over the next few days. Not sure how hubby will go for carrot and swede mash (he hates the stuff!) but I can disguise it with some cheese :D

I put beans and quorn into my stirfry and it's quite nice. Am trying hard not to look at hubby's plate where he has a lovely bed of rice too :rotfl:

I think I might buy a pretty dress to wear on my birthday. It's not until June but I should be at target by then (please!!) and it would be nice to dress up and go out for a meal. Hubby's treat, obviously!
