Morning
Mrs Ryan - good luck with the interviews. There's nothing more nerve wracking, but my strategy is to tell yourself how lucky they would be to have you as an employee and then pass that on to them. If you don't get the job it's their loss.
Mim - I like both dresses too, your SIL was out of order. It is important to feel confident for occasions like that. When my daughter graduated I was the heaviest I've ever been but I don't mind looking at the photographs because I found a flattering outfit that I felt good in.
Daisy - you were obviously comfort eating because you were upset at seeing your Gran in hospital. I've been guilty of binge eating in the past and what works for me is keeping the thought in your head of how bloated and bad you felt afterwards, and then focus on how good you would feel if you ate something light and healthy and how much you want to be slim. Hope your Gran is on the mend.
Lantanna - good luck with the new start. When you get to target it won't matter if you have all the shiny stickers in your book, what will matter is you knowing how much you lost to get there.
Well, I've got ironing to do as I've run out of clean tops.
Have a good day everyone.

3lb on please Shala
I feel quite chuffed with that, I was expecting it to be worse! I didn't stay to group, it was absolutely RAMMED and I don't have enough time to be sitting through all that. I get the chance to speak about all the pizza I have been eating on here!!! :rotfl:
I did get the salted caramel bars though, had one in the car on the way home...they are lush!
b: multigrain porridge (hexa/b), speed fruit and honey (2 syns for the honey)
l: hm split pea soup with lots of speed veg in, banana and yogurt
d: quorn cottage pie (hm) with speed veg, (2 syns for gravy)
Snacks will be fruit and sf jelly, I've just had that salted caramel bar (6)
Have a lovely day everyone!0 -
Smedley...this is me on Slimming World!! I am guessing episodes like that is poss why I don't lose any weight. I am going to stay to group this morning and keep the food diary and see if that makes a difference for me.
FANTASTIC news!
You have taken the plunge for a healthier lifestyle.
Once you understand how the meals at SW work, just stick to it, you will be losing.
The forum helped me get started, and offered fantastic advice, so you are in good hands here.
The group will keep you on track too, so take all you can.
Good luckSW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0 -

That's very kind of you to say maman and IF I'd stuck to plan properly instead of oversynning every day I'd probably blame the exercise, but honesty is the best policy
That said, only 2 weeks in and I think my tummy looks marginally better
I'm not expecting it to disappear!
I'm seriously considering doing SP this week to get me a good loss and back on track.
Obviously it does help to stay on plan!:rotfl:I've had very few SP days but I have had lots of SP meals and being aware of the new plan has definitely made me more conscious of carb portion control (especially potatoes where I always tended to throw in a couple extra). It all helps.Strange working towards a Monday weigh in as opposed to a Thursday but at least this weekend I will be semi good instead of going completely off the rails!!
I wondered about that. I've got so used to Thursday WI that I'd have to completely rethink for a Monday. Good Luck with it, maybe it'll spur you on to get back to target ASAP.Hey ladies,

I'm not veggie but I'd suggest a stir fry with just soy sauce, garlic and a bit of five spice. I add a bit of stock if it needs more liquid.
I really enjoyed patatas bravas as a side dish but you could always have them with veggie sausages. I adapted something like this
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1177/patatas-bravas
with frylight.
Frittata is yummy too, any veg you want (I always like to add sliced potatoes to make it substantial) and a few eggs. I tend to go for spring onions (or white onions softened in microwave), tomatoes, mushrooms and peppers if I have any with the potatoes. I cook it on the hob and brown under the grill but crustless quiche recipes done in the oven is very similar.
My EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: Likely to be out so may have a JP or salad in townSW Spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: Parmesan (probably in HEA), scrape of spread and maybe little salad dressing0 -

Welcome newbies, welcome back Mrs Ryan.
Ended up not making the rice pudding yesterday so will be making it today instead so another Green day needed and thus a change to my planned menu!
B - Fruit 'n' Fibre with almond milk (part HEA1) - didn't have until late as had to go to hospital for a fasting blood test first thing, so not even a cuppa when I got up
L - egg mayo & salad sandwich
D - SW ready meal - sweet potato curry; will also do some rice so that they'll (hopefully) be enough for both of us. Rice pudding made with Almond milk (rest of HEA1)
HEA2 - ss milk in tea throughout the day
HEB1 - fruit n fibre
HEB2 - bread
Syns: LTL mayo 1; viscount biscuit 3.5
Hoping I've done enough cutting back on syns since the weekend to get no more than a small gain or STS if I'm really lucky!

Hello everybody
Hope you don't mind me dropping by, I have online membership for SW as there are no groups local to me at a time I can get to them, but I'm not doing so well.I just seem to be getting so hungry at around 4.30pm - 5pm so grabbing whatever is available when I get home and cook for my little one (he's a fussy eater, def can't eat the same as him!).
I'm also newly single after a separation and really am struggling to be bothered to cook for myself in the evenings. I work full time, so most days food is eaten at my desk in the office!
Today I've eaten:
Breakfast:
42g crunchy bran (HexB)
with Skimmed milk (HexA)
Banana
An Apple around 10am
Lunch:
Tinned spaghetti
small Jacket potato
An orange
Dinner:
Probably some batchelors pasta n sauce with quorn sausages (1/2 sin each)
or scrambled eggs, tomatoes and quorn sausages.
Does this look ok to anyone? I need to lose around 2.5 stone and feeling really glum about it.
Any advice would be much appreciated

Im 6 weeks in and lost 10lb and had a few crazy food nights at restaurants etc but well happy so far.
Its fairly easy once you get your head around it
I bought a diary from Ebay which is quite useful for putting all your days in thisproserpina wrote: »Hope you don't mind a newbie to the thread. And a newbie to Slimming World.
I have always had weight battles, have averaged a size 16-18, have lost big chunks of weight and always put it back on again. About four years ago I was at my lowest weight, split up with my then boyfriend and comfort ate to the max.
In the last three years I met a new fella, moved in together and carried on eating - takeaways, matching food portions and snuggling on the sofa with tons of chocolate.
About this time last year I realised enough was enough, I was humungous, by my standards. I lost a stone and then three more, and was feeling really good.
Christmas came and went, I was being a bit lax about my eating and in February realised I'd put just about a stone on. I thought I was OK with that but something told me that if I didn't stop it'd all be back on by the summer. Thankfully in the last month I've managed to lose the stone, so back to my pre-Christmas weight.
I've never done Slimming World before, nor been to a slimming group but they opened a class last week at the community centre almost right outside my front door. This felt like a bit of a sign.
I went along last Wednesday and signed up. I probably need to lose another 4 stone to be a healthy weight but I don't know quite how low I want to go yet.
This is day 6 of the plan, it's going OK, I think. Keep having to read lots of my book and the online site as it's different from my usual weight loss method of eating less and counting every damn calorie. Thought this may be a good place to catch up with people in between group and learn a thing or too - I probably need all the help I can get.
So, that's a very long-winded way of saying hello!Debt £10k , HMRC £3K old debt £4k Jan 2021
