:T to SoW and to all today's losers.

I'm afraid alcohol was consumed here tonight too lois.:o This week is a real rollercoaster on and off plan like the hokey cokey!:rotfl:

crabapple, it's often the case that you gain at first with exercise. It's something to do with muscle being denser than fat but often you lose inches and tone up so not all bad news.

Did you have chips CP? I know we could go out for a meal on Thursday but part of me says I'd love a fish supper as I haven't had one in months.:(

Good to see you MrsR I was singing your praises only yesterday when candy was saying, as a new poster, she is finding it tough cooking everything from scratch. I explained you're a master of quick cooking in the microwave whether it's ready meals or quick meals in general.

Are you hoping to get back to work?

Good luck for tomorrow and I'm sure you'll soon get back on plan.:)

Here is the outfit I finally bought and which I think is more suitable for the occasion:

    Here is the link to the dress that was thought to be too young for me;

    http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_028020452927_-1

That looks very 'suitable' mim but I like the other one as well.

I was thinking of you today when I was reading this month's SW magazine. There's a woman in there who's years older than you (about 10 or more I think) and she's saying how she's stopped wearing frumpy clothes now she's lost weight. Actually while I liked her trousers I still think she looks a bit frumpy/overdressed but maybe that's what SW told her to wear. She said it's because she feels younger and has more confidence and I think that's what's happened to you.

I'm sure you'll feel good in the dress you've chosen. I like the little cardi too.

I think your SIL is projecting her thoughts on to you and you've grown in confidence so are reacting differently to how you might have before.

So now what's wrong with your posture? If you can do ballroom it can't be that bad surely?

That's very kind of you to say maman and IF I'd stuck to plan properly instead of oversynning every day I'd probably blame the exercise, but honesty is the best policy :o That said, only 2 weeks in and I think my tummy looks marginally better :) I'm not expecting it to disappear!

I was showing a couple of my colleagues some of my wedding pictures yesterday and they said I looked a lot older in them (they are 4 years and about 5 stone ago ;)) I swear I look older now, or maybe it's just the bags under my eyes from lack of sleep!

I'm seriously considering doing SP this week to get me a good loss and back on track. Will let you know how long my determination lasts, I hate dieting :rotfl:

    Thanks for the chart Shala

Lets hope that the chart will motivate anyone who is struggling to bolt the cream cake pantry, and nail the sweet cupboard shut.

    Everyone, you can do it!

Day 2 of my Week one Again! Yesterday went ok apart from a few chocolates that I ate just to get them out of the house. Didn't have as much superfree (or whatever we are calling them now) that's what I'm still calling them and won't again today until I get shopping tomorrow. Strange working towards a Monday weigh in as opposed to a Thursday but at least this weekend I will be semi good instead of going completely off the rails!!

I've got to get myself back into the gym as well big time, gonna to aim for 45 mins tonight. Its really mind over matter right now. If I can get one week over me with a loss I'm sure I'll be in a much better place with it all. Keeping a food diary again is def keeping me more conscious of what I'm eating!

Durhmam-Mim I like both dresses other then the cardigan thought I don't see really that much of a difference. I'm sure you will look fab, ignore SIL! We are all works in progress!! Every day and even those at target!

Morning all. Right, apart from a Twix, yesterday never went too badly. Off to group this morning, did a sneaky weigh in there and resolved that I def staying to class to see if that gives me a kick up the bum.

Smedley...this is me on Slimming World!! I am guessing episodes like that is poss why I don't lose any weight. I am going to stay to group this morning and keep the food diary and see if that makes a difference for me.

lantanna ...I feel like i am starting again this week too! It def gives you a renewed focus I think, I have personal trainer later today too and I am going to get my fat backside to the gym every day if I can - that's the difference for me I think!

prosperino...hello :hello: this group are a lovely lot and very helpful

CTE11 Slimmer of the week wooohoooo well done!! :j

I'll be back in a bit to share the bad tidings from group. The good news is I'm laughing about it, that's got to be better than weeping into a hifi bar at the back of the class! :rotfl:

Thank you everyone for all your lovely comments and encouragements. SIL has followed SW and is now at target so don't think that was the reason for the 'nasty comment'. My confidence took a wobble but thanks to you lovely ladies its on its way back up. I did toy with the idea of buying the dress anyway :p seeing as its in the sale, but can't really justify it as I've plenty of other dresses that need wearing first, plus I'm about to attempt making my own ballgown. Some friends at Ballroom have got me into dress making, I'm presently making a vintage style blouse. Last year I made a vintage style skirt but unfortunately I need to lose another inch off my waist before it will fit. I just hope the blouse fits when I've finished. I will be getting help from a tailoress when I do the ballgown.

Part of last week and so far this week I've managed a few SP days so hoping that will help. Re exercise, I've not lost weight or inches but compared to this time last year I'm getting into smaller sized clothes so something must be happening.

Hope all goes well for the interviews Mrs Ryan

  • Hello All

    Thanks for the welcome.

First weigh in tonight. I don't think it'll be a huge loss but definitely feeling trimmer and less bloated, so fingers crossed.

I know I am a week or so late to the party, but would love to join the challenge. I find interim targets work well for me. I am aiming to lose a whole 14lbs by 3rd May, please, Shala.

Well done CTE11 on SOTW. :T

Have a happy and healthy day, all. :D
