Daisy I have done similar things myself lol and then felt awful and wondered why on earth why. Its like sometimes you think its your last meal on earth or something the way you have to have everything and stuff it in lol. Hope staying to group does help you!! I think it did help me a bit last night. Even just to look at a different set of people for the first time in 2 years :rotfl:

I think Maman it would just be whatever you have currently lost so obvs I was up to 6 stone 8 lbs at one stage and now I'm back down to 5 stone 2 lbs so that's what they would read out what you have currently lost. I imagine it would feel pretty rubbish every week hearing the amount be reduced!!!! Mildredd did have gallstones and had her bladder removed, as you say I am her copycat lol

Have just completed my food diary for the day, haven't done one of those in a while - 6 syns if all goes to plan and I don't come across any of these :EasterBun

    Mrs Ryan?? Where you hiding?

Hope you don't mind a newbie to the thread. And a newbie to Slimming World.

I have always had weight battles, have averaged a size 16-18, have lost big chunks of weight and always put it back on again. About four years ago I was at my lowest weight, split up with my then boyfriend and comfort ate to the max.

In the last three years I met a new fella, moved in together and carried on eating - takeaways, matching food portions and snuggling on the sofa with tons of chocolate.

About this time last year I realised enough was enough, I was humungous, by my standards. I lost a stone and then three more, and was feeling really good.

Christmas came and went, I was being a bit lax about my eating and in February realised I'd put just about a stone on. I thought I was OK with that but something told me that if I didn't stop it'd all be back on by the summer. Thankfully in the last month I've managed to lose the stone, so back to my pre-Christmas weight.

I've never done Slimming World before, nor been to a slimming group but they opened a class last week at the community centre almost right outside my front door. This felt like a bit of a sign.

I went along last Wednesday and signed up. I probably need to lose another 4 stone to be a healthy weight but I don't know quite how low I want to go yet.

This is day 6 of the plan, it's going OK, I think. Keep having to read lots of my book and the online site as it's different from my usual weight loss method of eating less and counting every damn calorie. Thought this may be a good place to catch up with people in between group and learn a thing or too - I probably need all the help I can get. ;)

So, that's a very long-winded way of saying hello! :D

Hi maman nice to know I've been missed :) I've been reading through the KonMarie thread and its take me over a week to get up to date. Of course you can't read without doing some kondoing, so far I've managed to do most drawers in our bedroom. Taking it slowly drawer/cupboard at a time.

On Saturday went shopping for dress for DD2's graduation. Got very tired because of quite a bit of walking between carpark & shops (only just beginning to recover). Lost a bit of confidence too. My tummy's too big, my posture wrong and I was choosing dresses that were too young for me apparently :( Anyway I did eventually get a dress which I'm happy with ( and it was a 14, a size down from last year), will post a photo sometime.

Slimming wise not posted as I'm only loosely following SW and don't want to mislead anyone. I've been using my fitbit which as show I'm more active than I thought and is helping me to get quantities right. Weight loss is still slow and its hard at times to stay motivated. All I can think is it's the toning exercise, Callanetics & weights, that may be slowing things down. I shall however as Beanie says keep plodding.

    Hello everyone!
I've been reading this thread for a while now and putting off getting started on my diet... Until yesterday!
I'm now 1 day in and thought it was the perfect time to say hi :-)
I have been off work since October following a nasty brain haemorrhage, and the weight has just piled on. Quite daunting to think of starting to lose it all over again - as I've been a member of SW in the past.
But feeling determined and positive, and it is lovely to see how friendly and supportive everyone on the forum is.
    Wish me luck! x

    nat_1987 :hello:

    Welcome to the thread :)

Good luck in losing your weight :)
