Morning all, just quickly scanned the thread to catchup, so busy at the moment...

lantanna well done for being brave enough to go in!! We have target members at our group, one lady has been there for about 10 years and gets her loss read out every week, I sometimes think she only comes for the round of applause and to bang on about the book she's written (but that's a whole other story!!) b_e_g amazing news, well done you! nat_1987 welcome to the thread!! are you planning on going to a group or following the plan online? :hello:

    Happy Birthday Shala!!!!!

Well, this week has been shambolic to say the least. I got on the scales yesterday and they showed a STS. I was studying all day yesterday and was fairly well behaved but then went to see Gran in hospital and felt a bit fed up when I came out so stopped at the )shop and had a mars bar (one of the double ones and a bounty (one of the triple ones) and then I had a dominos medium pizza and nachos. To myself.

got on the scales this morning and they are showing a 2lb gain since yesterday!!!!!

What's done cannot be undone I suppose!! Back on plan with a renewed vigour today, I've been back at group for 5 weeks and have only lost 3lbs in total!!! Hopeless :rotfl:

    So today I am having....

b: multigrain porridge (hexa/b) with chopped pear and banana
l: jacket potato, beans, large mixed salad (cheese 5 syns)
d: spicy tomato pasta with lots of speed veg in the sauce and salad

snacks will be speed fruit and yogurt, options hot choc (2 syns) and i'm saving the rest of my syns for a night out on friday

    Have a lovely day everyone!!xxxxx:T:T

I had a snickers last week for the first time in about 2 years and it was amazing!!! It might be another 2 years before I have one again:rotfl:

Congratulations Beg and all the other losers on your losses.

Happy Birthday Shala, have a lovely day:)

My weight loss seems very slow at the moment, but at least its on the way down! I know I'm going to feel so much better this summer than I did last year!!

Lantanna - you're right, it is time to stop being so hard on yourself, give yourself a big pat on the back for doing so well.

    LL :)

Definitely!!:T I think it's brilliant that you've stopped yourself now and turned it round. Didn't mildredd have gall stones too? You copycat!! It could be that some foods have been affecting you which can't have helped.

It's obviously part of the script to keep repeating the overall weight for target members. It happens to me but I only go every three or four weeks. What I do is acknowledge the applause with an impatient smile and then jump in quickly with a question or a bit of a tip so they have to stop clapping and listen.

I've often wondered how it works for people who lose loads and then put it all back on. Is it a case of putting it off. Sorry that sounds a bit judgemental. I'm genuinely interested.:o

The wedding we went to a few weeks back: the couple met on an online site.
I suppose as people spend so much time on line these days it's not surprising that this way of meeting people is taking over from more traditional ways.

:embarasse Hi could I join again please? I lost the plot completely after my holiday and put 6lbs back on so I would like to loose 8 lb to get me down to my next stone.

I have my head back in the right place now so I'm on it :)

Good to see you btc. I think a holiday gain is pretty normal so hopefully it'll be easy to lose.

    Hello everyone!
I've been reading this thread for a while now and putting off getting started on my diet... Until yesterday!
I'm now 1 day in and thought it was the perfect time to say hi :-)
I have been off work since October following a nasty brain haemorrhage, and the weight has just piled on. Quite daunting to think of starting to lose it all over again - as I've been a member of SW in the past.
But feeling determined and positive, and it is lovely to see how friendly and supportive everyone on the forum is.
    Wish me luck! x
 I do hope you're feeling better. Do you think it was medication or comfort eating or inactivity or what... made you gain? Good to hear you sounding so positive. Do you have much to lose?

I'm out for a pub meal tonight. It will use syns I probably can't afford but I'm happy to have steak and salad. Stupid pub stopped doing JPs and just does oily, baked new potatoes so I'd rather enjoy my syns with chips!

One thing I do like is that they scatter the salad with these:
    http://www.waitrose.com/shop/DisplayProductFlyout?productId=338071

They are syn free and so pretty. I'm going to get a jar for when the salad season starts.

    My EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: LO corned beef hash and veg
    D: steak, salad, chips
Syns: squirt of syrup, chips, glass of wine:o

The worst of it was, I felt sick after I had shovelled in one bit of the mars bar and two bits of the bounty but still went home and ordered the dominos!! And then ate the rest of the chocolate later!!!! I've got the cheek to be posting on here about never being able to lose weight!!!! I'm going to group tomorrow morning and will stay for the meeting, hopefully that'll get me a bit more back on track. I'm sitting here laughing about it :rotfl:

I chuckled when I saw that you had written what you had eaten wrong in fine print, the problem looked much much smaller!

I really believe that anyone can lose weight, SW is working for others, so why not you? I think you are on the correct track in investigating Slimming World: groups, Online or DIY.
    Good luck
