I need to go to a boxing event, looks beautiful I might steal it

Oh my word you have been a chatty lot since Monday night. Have had a very quick skim read-through but there were so many posts I have forgotten what I was going to say. :o

Thanks so much for all your good wishes on my latest shiney. What a canny lot you are. :D

So sorry I missed your birthday yesterday Shala - hope it was a good one despite having to go to work. I love marshmallows, kfcs and all the other stuff. :rotfl::rotfl:

Welcome to our newbies  - you will be guaranteed loads of support and laughs along the way and that's a promise. :D

Do you have a slow cooker MeandO - it is great to be able to stuff a bit of meat in and loads of veggies and when you come back home at tea time you are greeted by a wonderful smell as you go through the door. Making extra portions allows you to freeze some and then you have your own version of ready meals. As Denise says the hardest part is remembering to take them out of the freezer the night before to thaw. Good luck.

Well done to the latest losers :T Congratulations to cte on being our SOTW :T

Thanks for our chart shala and all your hard work - you are a gem. :A

So pleased your class went well for you on Monday Lantanna.

I love both dresses durham. At the end of the day, it is whatever you feel happy with - if DH likes it too - well that's a bit of a bonus. Well done you on all your hard work and getting into smaller sizes. ;) How brave are you - making your own ballgown (with or without help) Don't forget to share some pics.

On the subject of dresses, I spotted this one in Asda and thought it would be nice for a wedding we are going to in August but I would hope that I will need a smaller size by then and cannot really justify the cost of buying it now as I don't really go out that much where I would need to wear a dress - bit overkill for Sainsbobs on a Friday morning do you think. :rotfl:

I know there were more things I was going to comment on but my head is in a bit of a fuddle as I had very little sleep last night and didn't want to get out of bed this morning.

Oh I remember something ......... someone mentioned book 'Fat Chance' by Nick Someone (?) - bought it on kindle yesterday for £1. Have been trying to order it at local library but it hasn't appeared on their lists yet. Just read 'The Curvy Girls Club' by Michelle Gorman and quite enjoyed that one.

Have to go out shortly and unfortunately the bloomin rain has arrived and I am going to get soaked.

Will catch up with you all later.

Just back from my PT, she could see I was a bit down in the dumps about my gain / disastrous few weeks but funnily enough she isn't showing the same gain as the SW scales...maybe 1.5 instead of 3? She said that it takes a bit of time to start seeing results from the good work that I have been doing (minus the blips) so I am feeling all focused again.

Hello MeandO, welcome to the thread :hello: Sounds like you're having a bit of a hard time, so well done you for keeping going under the circumstances. Your diary looks ok but a bit light on speed foods and syns? I always find that upping my speed helps me to feel fuller for longer and I spend my syns on little bars of chocolate and other treats - this week I'm trying to save 5 syns a day to put towards the carnage of a night out on Friday.

If you look online at the SW site, there are 7 day menus that you can look at - the veggie one is very good and might give you ideas for new things to try? I'm forever looking up slimming world on Pintrest and Instagram for ideas, although Maman's link to patatas bravas has given me some food for thought about having tapas tomorrow night!! Keep posting your diaries and everyone will try to help as much as we can (although I think I am better at the moral support side, I'm not exactly winning this week after an adventure with Dominos pizza and mars bars a couple of days ago!! :rotfl:)

B_E_G that dress is lovely, and would be very nice for a wedding. Get the smaller size and give yourself something to aim for?

Lushlifesaver If you are finding yourself to be plateauing, having you tried SP days? I'm not sure I would cope with the reduction in carbs (and lets face it, can't get the hang of the normal plan let alone anything else!!) but I do know that in my group they are reporting good losses from it

Beg - I read fat chance and loved it, it made me chuckle. Someone else has read it as well, can't remember who it was now. That dress looks lovely! I've a wedding just after Easter and I'm delaying going out to get something just yet as hope to have lost a few lbs by then and it will annoy me going right now!! Also I'm more bothered about what is going to happen to my gall bladder!!:rotfl:and when!

Day 2 going to Plan so far, really have to up the superfrees but will be able to sort that easy when I get shopping tomorrow! Dinner might be some sort of prawn stirfry or curry I have prawns needing used up

I can feel my motivation returning and I really hope is its. Daisy I'm making myself stay for image therapy every week until I get to target at least as I do believe it makes a lot of difference for me anyway . When I starting getting fed up with my group and weighing and going that's when I start to get into trouble!!

My Dad has just been on the phone and amongst other things he is going out this afternoon to look for my Easter Lindt Bunny:rotfl: He doesn't half make me laugh ringing me up to tell me this, I am 35 not 5
    :rotfl:
Mrs Ryan, good to see you posting, hang on in there. Good luck with the interviews!

Lush as Meg says just keep going it will come off eventually and when you least expect it! It took me about 4 months to lose my final half stone last year and even though I was extra extra good ( especially in comparison to how I have been eating recently). The closer you are to target the harder I think it gets, for me personally anyway yes!!

I've reread my book and quite frankly its no wonder I've been stacking on the lbs tbh!! Never mind the naughties the number of overall general bad habits and oh sure that doesn't matter its only a bit of that when putting stuff onto my place is terrible!!!

After two years complacency and downright disobeying of the rules has set in, thank goodness I've caught myself on right now and didn't get any further!

Seriously if your struggling and haven't read you book in a while get it and re read!!

    -1/2lb today
Raining stair rods at the moment so hoping it stops so I can dash out with the dogs before the marauding hoards get home.
    I'll pop back later.

    Well done Matron :T

I am thinking of having a run out with DH maybe tomorrow to a larger Asda and I might try the dress on. If it looks ok now I might treat myself to it and it will be something nice to wear for Easter - not that I will be going very far but sometimes it is just nice to make a little bit of effort. Will let you know how it goes.

It is so hard lush when things come to a standstill. Over the last 3 weeks or so, I have stuck to the book and only lost a few half pounds and then all of a sudden I had a great result this week by doing nothing differently. When the scales don't reflect the work you have put in it would be so easy to say 'what's the bl00dy point of it all'. Hang on in there it will pay off soon.

Congratulations on the smaller skinny jeans Meg. Any more dates on the horizon - sorry for being a nosey so and so ;)

I'm leaving Fat Chance for now Lantanna in case I start to confuse with 'dietingish' book The Curvy Girls Club I've just finished - it doesn't take much these days. :o Might leave it till we go away in a couple of weeks (just overnight) if it is an easy read. Have you been told that you will definitely need op (sorry with just skimming last few days I might have missed) and if so when is it likely to be. If you have to have it, it will be worth getting it done and then hopefully you will be free of the painful episodes. A friend of mine is waiting for the op - has had dates for op but she has other health issues and they have cancelled op and I know the pain she has been in so you really have my sympathy. Hopefully it will be sorted soon - after the wedding now though I presume. :D Good luck with the dress hunting.

Decided not to go to town today since it is so wet but will just go down to Mums and check on her a bit later on.

One of our own ready meals for tea tonight - sausage and bean casserole (think its a Schwartz Slow Cooker mix) so will need to check on syns. Might make some overnight oats for supper - I know its not overnight but it will be ok for suppertime tonight ;)

    I officially hate SP :(

It involves far too much thinking and not enough eating :D

I really think it will help me to stick with it for a little while though, I need to shift these final few pounds and being strict with myself will help I am sure.

Not going to get out for a walk today but I'm trying to do plenty of steps at home, even some running on the spot. The children keep giving me strange looks :rotfl:

Breakfast was branflakes and milk, using the rest of my milk in coffee but drinking loads of water instead. Lunch was an omelette with a ton of speed veggies in it.

Just did the shopping for the week and there are always stirfry things on yellow sticker so we will be having that for dinner. Need to add some beans or maybe some quorn chunks to it for protein though.

Oh B e g not nosey at all, :rotfl: its what I really love about this thread the way everyone shares news and supports each other.
I am pleased about smaller Jeans but being a frugal old sod slightly miffed that I wont get my wear out these, going to make a bag out of one pair though so not too bad.

Will be meeting up with the Man again the weekend but chat on phone daily. I am finding it hard to rein in the old cynic in me, I live by the Mantra if it sounds to good to be true" then it probably is. Still I am thinking go with the flow and see and am really enjoying chatting to him, he is very funny and easy to chat to, he says he is quite happy to let me set the pace so we will see.

The new challenge will run from week commencing the 2nd March and finish on the 3rd May - this gives us 9 weeks.

If you wish to join in then please post your target loss for the 9 weeks in red* or bold or massive or all of the above so that I can see it really easily!

I will post the weight loss chart each week on a Tuesday showing the prior weeks losses and singling out the person who has lost the most so we can make a great big fuss over them :T:D

Any questions please let me know - it doesn't matter which day you get weighed just let me know your loss on that day and i'll add it to the correct week (maybe, if I don't get confused!)

    Thank you...

    * or purple for Beanie, TIE and Tweets ;)
