Hello all

I'm subscribing to this thread and hoping that all of you will help inspire me to get back on plan and stick to it.

3 years ago I joined SW, lost 3 stone and then (stupidly) stopped going to class. Over the last year I've gradually put around 1st back on. I rejoined about two months ago and had a few good losses, getting my half stone award but then I've had a few bad weeks and, weigh in is tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised to find myself back where I started.

I found it really quite easy a few years back but really struggling this time around. I think the main changes have been having my other half living with me (he's a junk food feind!) and having a much busier work life and social life.

Fingers crossed I can get back on track.

Hi

Lantanna - well done for getting to the gym!

I love all this talk of dresses :T can't wait to start wearing them and feel comfortable!

brilliant first losses Proserpina and candyapple :T:T

Hi Karen  welcome to the thread.. SP does feel a bit too much like a diet, you can swap to normal extra easy and still get results if it gets too tedious for you.. do you go to a class or just do it from home?.. please feel free to post your menu's, ask any questions or join our challenges :)

Hi Bev  welcome to the thread, it must be hard living where there is temptation :( well done on your loss so far though.. as with Karen, feel free to post your menu's, ask any questions or join our challenges :)

Well I stepped right out my comfort zone last night and went line dancing.. it's brilliant, I messed up more than I got the steps right but who cares!! Have to see if my friends want to go back, but, if not i'll be learning at home.. totally MSE as well as the first lesson was free :T:money:

I've now got one more meal (and the rest of the bag of marshmallows to get through) then i'm back on track from tomorrow :j actually can't wait.. just been shopping so fruit and veg is stocked up :T

Took a pic of the marshmallows.. next to the cat so you can see the size  Sorry for the grumpy face, it's the only one he's got :rotfl:

Good to see some losses coming in already today!:T and don't be disheartened if you've STS or gained just keep doing a Beanie and it'll come good in the end.;)

smedley, I don't know why some soups are HEBs and some aren't. It could be the amount of fibre and oil but I'm not sure. To add syns you could have some pasta with a synful sauce instead of tomato based (proper carbonara or with chorizo or lashings of cream and cheese, whatever you prefer). It is unusual to find someone who can't think of any way to use up syns!:rotfl:

Welcome bev and Karen. You're in the right place, just keep asking if there's anything you need to know.

That sounds like a good night out lois. I must put some Everley's music on later. I think this

is my favourite. We used to sing it in the car with a group of friends all singing different parts. Happy Days!:)

It's my birthday today so many syns will be consumed!!:D I'm going to be good until teatime when family coming round so that translates as bubbly and cake! DH and I off to an Indian later plus compulsory wine syns. Then tomorrow......:rotfl:Thank goodness I was below target last week!!

Morning :)

Can anyone suggest a guaranteed remedy for constipation? Sorry if this is too much info. :o I was showing a good result on the scales on Monday but I haven't been since then and now I'm not. I need a miracle by tomorrow!

Beg - I know exactly where you're coming from re the dress. When I was at target I used to try clothes on just for the sake of it, with no intention to buy, because I could.

I feel for you Lois having loo issues - I think that was partly responsible for my teeny weeny losses over the last few weeks. Family cannot understand how I can have problems with the amount of fruit and veg that I eat. Quite often I have 60g of prunes as heb for supper on a night and try to remember to drink plenty. I wish there was an item of food that did the trick but sadly I haven't found it yet :(.

My trying on session isn't going to happen today as I have volunteered to take a couple of friends out to M & S for a bit of shopping and I just know we will end up in the Cafe - where at the very least they will be having tea/coffee and scones. It was also mentioned that we may go for an early evening bar meal  Had hoped to stay fully on track until we go away in a couple of weeks. So, for a bit of damage limitation, I have had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and just had some hm celery soup. Still got hexs that may be used when we are out.

Might be next week now before I am able to get out for a 'trying on' session. By then the Asda dress will probably have disappeared from the rails :rotfl::rotfl:

Had my 1st WI this morning and pleased to report a 3lb loss I'm over the moon! Feel like it could have been a touch more if we hadn't went off plan and had a chinese last night after hubby's visit to the docs. I only ate half of mine, my appetite seemed to have wandered off somewhere. This week I'm going to make a conscious effort with my speed foods and see if I can keep up the good work.

Fantastic loss candy :T

BEG - Removing body organs to lose weight no I’m just quite that bad yet!! :rotfl:
That has always stuck with me and put me off.
Lois – Things that work for me, Kiwi Fruit, Pomegrante Seeds, lots of water, broccoli, brussel sprouts! I too have done that try on things just for the sake of it and choosing clothes is much harder now because I have more of a choice and I want to look really nice all of the time not just passable like I used to. I have gotten so fussy lol

Oh lantanna I was only joking re the organ removal for improved weight loss. Hope drs appt goes well tomorrow. x

Well done for gym visit. I have tried taking a slightly scenic route to mums on a morning - the longest so far is 1.5 miles which I did in 27 mins. I know its not much but better than using car.

I wish I had taken a photo of all the veg that was on my plate last night - cabbage, brocolli, sprouts, celery, turnip and carrots (think that was it) - still no movement so far

When I was looking for wedding outfit last year, it was pretty much - yes that fits (just) and I am covered up - that'll do thank you very muchly. I can imagine it being harder in a sense this year for the August wedding we are going to as hopefully there will be more choice.

Forgot to report another NSV the other day - I got some leggings from Primani and they weren't the biggest on the rails ;). A lovely lemon blouse also fell into the basket (sadly that was the biggest on the rails) :D

Welcome to the thread:wave:

I have a similar problem as my DH loves crisps, cheesy biscuits, sweets, choc - you get the picture! I'm quite lucky in that I'm not keen on crisps and don't have too much of a sweet tooth - but I do like to keep some low syn snacks/choc in the house for when I feel the need to join him!

At the moment my current favourite is Magic Stars - a small bag is 3.5 syns or, if you are able to leave them alone once the bag is opened, you can get a big bag and just count out 12 stars which is how many you get in the small bags. I've also bought some of the baked Viscount biscuits and they are also 3.5 syns.

It is also worth planning your meals out for the week but if that seems too much then try planning for just 2-3 days at a time. That way you are far less likely to eat food which is off plan.

For those of you with loo problems you might like to try the Speed soup - I've heard it works really well (but not actually tried it myself). A couple of glasses of red usually does it for me:D.

Happy birthday Maman - enjoy your bubbly & cake.

As expected I had a small gain 0.5lb this morning but happy about that as still in the bottom half of target range.

Back to EE today:

B - banana after WI
L - LO cottage pie (made with a mix of beef mince & lentils plus loads of veg); green beans. Blob of brown sauce (1 syn). Big bunch of grapes
D - 2 Butchers low fat sausages (1 syn); mash, brussels, peas & green beans. Splash of gravy.

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - probably some Ryvita this evening
Syns - brown sauce 1; sausages 1; gravy 1; butter 5
