    Morning all :)

Sorry I haven't been around much, I've been having problems accessing the thread from my iPad, it keeps redirecting me to games sites. Is that happening to any other iPad or tablet users?

It started on Thursday night and at first I thought MSE had been hijacked (again) but it was fine on the laptop.

Anyway, back on topic, I like the 'syn hoovering' description Crabapple. I'm afraid I resorted to a bit of hoovering yesterday too.

I needed some birthday cards for all the Pisceans in my life so I went to a shop nearby that sells English cards and other things. Unfortunately I couldn't resist the lure of cadburys chocolate and bought a Flake. I knew we were eating out last night so I really couldn't afford the syns, but down it went.

The meal out was a birthday dinner for one of said Pisceans and the starter was described as baked aubergine au gratin - sounds quite SW friendly I thought. It wasn't - the half aubergine ticked the box, but it was smothered in cheese sauce and liberally sprinkled with deep fried, battered aubergine crisps and bacon bits. It was yummy!

Main course was sword fish, boiled potatoes and veg, so quite good, apart from a bit of oil on the fish. I'll gloss over the ice cream and squirty cream (banana split), birthday cake (I left half) and ferrero rocher, and the red wine. :o

Line drawn, today will be back on plan. :A

    Have a great weekend everyone.

Morning all, yesterday was an amazing success for slimming world (if you don't count the two bread rolls and butter that I had to shovel in when I was running about doing family stuff in the afternoon. Need to get my head down and study study study today, first prelim is on Monday!!

B: LM sausage (2 syns) baked beans and fried eggs (frylight)
L: Split pea soup, small wholemeal roll (hexb)
D: Spicy tomato pasta, oven baked halloumi (hexa) (this is quickly becoming a favourite with me!!!)

I don't have time at the moment to go back through our thread but I have noticed the chat about this WW thread and sounds like it might be a giggle...do any have you the link?

Have a great day folks xxxx

Good luck with the exams Daisy, and I hope your Grandma is better.

Looking at your menu there doesn't seem to be much in the way of speed foods, I can only see one, the tomatoes with the pasta. However, you could be following the green plan, in which case it's fine and you could have another HEB. Sorry if this has been discussed before and I missed it.

Missing official weigh in this week as it's much easier to drive there and OH has the car! This morning is my usual weigh in day, on my scales at home it looks like 2lb off, but they may measure a little differently to my SW group scales so I'm not sure if it should count!

Good idea, my scales might be kinder than the group ones! I've had a few weeks of only losing 0.5lb but I did keep ordering takeaway for one reason or another and I've finally had a week where I didn't do that so hopefully it is at least more than 0.5lb!

Evening all :) I have not been posting but I am still reading every day.

Been plugging away so am disappointed to list a 0.5lbs gain which has left me feeling a bit disheartened. So to get back on track I am going to do a bot of a kick start week.

This week I am going to go green and stick to a vegetarian diet to see if that has much of an impact. Also going to do a mini veggie juice cleanse over the weekend to see if I can get my body back in order.

Hopefully I will be back next week with a record loss :rotfl:

Good to see you posting rummer. You should be pleased to have a loss, however small. If you have time I really would recommend posting your menus preferably in advance. Not only does it mean we can tweak anything that doesn't look right but I find that it helps me stay organised and focused.

Remember there will be syns in the veggie juice. Not as bad as in fruit juice but I'd count 2 syns per 100ml to be on the safe side.

Today's going to be another off plan meal as I'm going to help DH celebrate National Pie Week!;) I've had a SW breakfast (fried eggs on toast) and will have something suitable for lunch too. Back on plan properly tomorrow for a couple of days at least.

That aubergine dish sounds absolutely yummy lois. I love aubergines.

Good to hear that you're more active than you thought mim.:)

Every loss counts, durham and TIE, well done.

Howling wind and rain here.

Well, already there’s a change of plan – I forgot to get the stew out of the freezer to thaw. Ho hum, I guess we’ll b having frittata tonight then.

On the positive side, I made a lovely pot of leek and potato soup. Had 2 big bowls of that for lunch – and nothing else.

Close your eyes and don’t read on if you are of a nervous disposition. I think I am going to use some of my beetroot to make a cake – chocolate fudge beetroot traybake, to be precise – but don’t worry about me lapsing, because I do not like chocolate cake, lol. I’ll smother it in chocolate icing, ‘cos I don’t like that either, ha ha. Should have thought of that before. Unfortunately I got another bag of beetroot in yesterday’s deliver, so I have still got 3lbs + to use.

Hmm, National Pie week, maman? I wonder what I could make that I don’t like :p – I do have some shortcrust pastry in the fridge. DH could be a very happy man by the end of the day!
