I'm all set to start my SP week in the morning. Glad it's not recommended full time because I'd go crazy without my carbs at dinner. Hoping I'll stick to it for the full week though as I usually have a pretty big loss my first week back so I'm expecting a massive loss this week:p

This is my plan for tomorrow. Any feedback on possible improvements would be much appreciated.

    B Third of a honeydew melon(s), pear(s), plum(s) and yogurt(3.5 syns)
L Speed soup (all S veg and red lentils(p)), Alpen light bar(HEB1)
D Chicken(p) and kidney bean(p) curry(homemade S sauce) with cauliflower(s) rice and extra S veg on the side
    S 16 almonds(HEB2), apple(s) and clementine(s)
HEA milk for tea during the day.

Thanks for the chart Shala. I love that diary as well, that will be me off to town tomorrow!

It's weigh day for me tomorrow, so I'm really hoping to lose some of the 4lb gain from last week!!

I imagine we'll be having the talk about the new plan, although I'm lucky enough to know most of it from all the great info on here, thanks everyone.

I also love to watch programmes about weight loss, Secret Eaters is one of my faves.

Glad it's not just me then ~

    Monday C5 ~8pm 70 Stone Man
    ~9pm Too chubby to work

Tuesday C4 ~ 8pm Weighing up the enemy (Dr Christian thing)

I hope it goes without saying that I'm not watching these programmes and delighting in their misery. I have admiration for most people on these shows and I view it with a sure and certain knowledge that if I don't sort myself out, then 'There But For The Grace of Frog go I'.

The new challenge will run from week commencing the 5th January and finish on the 1st March - this gives us 8 weeks.

Hello, can I join in here please?? I am trying very hard this year to get myself in order and part of that is to lose a bit of weight. I'd love to try the challenge and have a definite goal. This afternoon I weighed and measured myself and then this evening I am going to do my first week's menu plans and get organised.

I've not seen the new EESP plan but I will read a bit more of the thread and get the hang of it.

I would like to lose 4 kg in 8 weeks, which is about 1lb a week (I weigh in kilos though as my scales won't do pounds). I think this is going to be OK.
    Trying to keep in budget.

That'll be the 5:2 fast plan.. you eat "normally" (i.e. 2000 cals) 5 days and 500 calories on the other 2.

It's actually been proven so far to be really beneficial to your health and people find it easy to follow once they've got used to the first few fast days which are the most miserable time of your life :rotfl: (that's not scientific it's just what I experienced!)

    It was from The Works - £2.99 which I think's a bargain...

Think I will just stick with SW for the time being Shala - maybe if loss grinds to a halt I will have a rethink :p:D. Our consultant had one of those diairies included with a raffle prize one week - no I didnt win :(. Thought about ordering it from The Works but begrudge the pp and there is nothing I really want to make order up. Convinced myself now I do not need it I would just like it. :D

Driving myself mad at the moment looking for a list of hexs that are marked S and P. Have read in a few places SW referring people to a list and advising to pick hexs marked S and P to help speed up loss. I cannot bloomin find it  Probably just me having a silly moment. Oh well ..................

The new diet programme certainly sounds different to the usual stuff we see frogga. Will have it set to record whilst I am at wi. Debating about taking a box of Quality Street to wi tomorrow as consultants are collecting them for foodbank. They are not my favourite choccies (except the green triangles) but that doesn't necessarily mean I will find them a temptation. Will just have to grab them from the table on my way out, not giving it too much thought in case I change my mind. :D

Has anyone heard of any offers for countdowns for the New Year/New Plan? My existing countdown has just expired :(

    Take care everyone

shala_moo I got one of those gabby diaries too (and my hubby laughed at me for being excited by it as well!!)

It is helping having to write it all down and having somewhere to jot all my thoughts is good!

B-mango and cherries (were frozen so thawed them overnight)
L-roast beef leeks, carrots , swede, sweetcorn, roast potatoes (frylight) and 2 small yorkshire puds (6+oil was HEXB) and gravy (counting 6 for that)
snacks so far today have all been fruit
T? not sure what I'll have but I made frittata so may have some of that or the beef and veg soup I made with the left overs

    :)
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

I also have an Easi Yo but from recollection you make the yogurt with water, not milk.

What shop did you buy your diary in? looks fab

Please forgive me butting in on your thread, I have been reading as think my niece would benefit from joining, Flat Eric it is possible to make yogurt from milk in the easy yo without using a packet, much more economical.:)

  • May I join in the challenge please?
