Morning all
Thanks for the charts Shala, finishing (didn't we do well?) and starting anew (good luck everyone, we can do it!).
Well done Meg and SallyCinammon for SOTW and all the losers, and Jock for ONLY gaining 1.5 after that blow-out, and winning the raffle.
I'd be very happy to lose 1.5lbs every week, that's what I aim for when I set a target, short or long term, and it's a healthy amount to lose.
Have a good day everyone,
LLStart BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -
Maltesers - 0.5 a syn each
Was on a recipe once - omit the Malteser and u can omit 0.5 synsso u could bag them up in small amounts
Thank you all for the hugs and stuff - having one of those weeks this week
(Stepped out the front door this morning to take mini to nursery and the heavens opened - I had to go back in and change shoes :@)Started sw 02/09/13 - total loss so far -5st 1lb

tweets, long may that bag stay firmly shut! I admire your restraint.
Good for you, Crabapple. That’s quite a personal achievement (besides the weight loss).
beanie, I use pickled beetroot on my sandwich and just have butter, but mayo would be better SW-wise. The skin on the beetroot I had was paper thin – as you say, TIE, it would just rub off – by the time I’d cleaned the muck off, I don’t think there’d have been much skin left, lol. I’m going to have a beetroot apple-style later today. I’ve added JP with beetroot & cottage cheese to my list of things to try, maman. The colours will be amazing!
Congratulations, salduck, djenks and Minihauk.
Well done SOWS, meg & SallyC.:T
Good luck in your new group, lantanna. Sometimes a fresh start is just the boost we need.
Mildredd, I know what you mean about “one of those days”. We had 3-4 inches of snow yesterday and OH spent ages clearing the drive and path and a neighbour’s drive too (took a couple of hours) and then in the afternoon the thaw came and the only snow left was where he’d piled it up!:rotfl:Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
STS for me at class.
The scales row continued because our consultant was back and although most of last weeks gainers lost weight, there were an awful lot of maintainers and quite a few gains going on. She said her scales had just been in to be calibrated. Our class of 53 managed 17lb loss between us. I was pleased with my STS.
I've pledged to give up my evening snacks for a week to see if that makes a difference. So nothing should pass my lips after my tea!0 -
I have just decided to join the challenge, after seeing the chart, I now know it will inspire others, seeing that others are successfully losing.
I currently weigh in on Sundays, so my week is Mon - Sun.
I do have to convert from kg though, I always weigh in metric.
I will try 1.5lbs pre week so over 9 weeks (1.5 * 9 = 13.5)
I wish to lose 13.5 lbs
What is the weigh in day here?
ThanksSW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0 -
lushlifesaver wrote: »In case I don't get on later here is my current plan for tomorrow:
Breakfast: overnight oats - have to use that yogurt up now; that said I felt there was far too much yogurt today (approx. 150g) so I think I will cut that down to 100g max so that's a small syn saving (1syn)
lunch: homemade leek and potato soup, melon chunks, an apple, hard boiled egg
tea: we don't have training this week so I'm thinking of either chicken wrapped in bacon with a jacket potato, beans and some salad or chicken and rice with a veg sauce we make (5.5 syn) will pretty much just decide when I get home tomorrow based on how me and bf feel.
HeA: half milk, half cheese - both weighed and measured to ensure accuracy
HeB: oats
Because bf had a huge huff last night I got hardly any prep done and this morning I had to wash my hair for a morning meeting and sort all sorts out so still didn't do any food prep!
I did get my oats done, had them at 10.30 when I got back from my 9am meetingthey were yummy - bit sharper than yesterday but still yum.
I've also had a chocolate digestive at 4syn with my cuppa as a little treat.
We did have KFC last night (thanks for those syns maman) I had just a few chips, half a dozen popcorn chicken and 1 piece of on the bone chicken with no coating.
As I got no prep done I just have an apple for after my soup and for tea I think I will do bf/wonder bairn chicken nuggets or fish fingers and chips/waffles and I will have a jacket potato and free fillings I think. My jaw is still hurting and it's making me feel quite lousy to be honest************************************

Think 1.5lbs is a great loss for a week.
Do you all you guys/gals weigh in on the Forum every week?
Good idea to join the challenge smedley. You can WI any day you want and just post it up in bold for shala to pick it up. Then she collects them together ready for a weekly chart (star that she is!).retiredlady wrote: »That's a good idea LL, I think I'll try that! I'll start this week with 4 days of SW then 3 of lowcarb.
I think that's roughly what EESP is meant to be. So you could do that (Speed Food and Protein only with just your HEB as carb). I've heard of people doing that linked with 5:2 but I'm sure 4:3 would work just as well. They wouldn't have to be consecutive days but I suppose if they were the 3 days leading up to WI???;)
Your raffles sound amazing jock. I've been going to my group for over three years and the raffles are always the same: box of fruit and veg. I think they're self funding from the raffle money so maybe you just have lots of interested parties.
I'm hoping for a STS tomorrow too denise. I feel reasonably slim but you never really know until you get on those scales! Tasters are a bit of a non starter at our group but consultant persists because it's the law. Nobody really feels like much at 9.30 in the morning.
Are you going to tell your consultant why you're leaving her group lantanna? Seems to me she hasn't realised how uncomfortable she makes you feel (or worse still doesn't care) and how little support for people close to/at target like yourself. I'm sure you're doing the right thing. Have you thought about how much more you want to lose at your new group?
I'm off to see Second Best Marigold later with a friend. I'm not planning on eating but I may have a coffee.
Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, scrambled eggs, HEB soda bread, HEA milk
L: have to nip out so I'll snack on ham and beetroot from fridge and maybe an applegammon, new potatoes, green beans, peas, carrots
Syns: scrape of spread0 -
Already getting stressed about converting from kg.
Which conversion do I choose for the weigh in here?
Kilograms to Pounds
Kilograms to pounds & ounces
Kilograms to Stones and Pounds
Sorry, but I get confused with imperial.SW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0 -

I quite understand. I almost never have Speed Food with breakfast unless it's a full English. It would help on days like this if you stuck to Speed fruit rather than free (so not banana and grapes). I've always looked at having a third across a day rather than at each meal.0
