Call the midwife made me cry so much this week! the swapped baby story was so emotional... and the older couple too... So pleased the man who used to be Minty has a romance too

Also watching this week I felt strangely sad I will not have more children. I have a daughter of 5 and son of 8 months so mega lucky but it is strange to realise that amazing experience will not happen again for me.

I went to my group today expecting to STS or maybe hoping for a tiny loss as only need 0.5lb off for my next award and I got my worst result in the whole time I have done slimming world I put on +3lb. So gutted as had stuck to plan other than one trip to pizza express where I had the leggaro pizza which was about 21 syns so that day I went over. Also last week I did tons of walking but it clearly did not help. Last week I lost 3lb so I guess I got it back again still shocked as my worst ever loss has been 1lb and then I had gone way over syns. So now to succeed in this challenge I need to get - 11lb over 7 weeks but I am determined not to fail!

This week I am determined for a good week as if I get -3.5 I get another award and I want the sticker. Any tips from anyone on what has helped them get a big loss? WHiplashy I saw you lost 9lb on a detox was that linked to slimming world? I may try some SP days but could not do a whole week. Also going to read this forum more for tips and support.

I saw someone mention a money saving expert facebook page?? Can I join I need extra motivation and can get FB on my phone.

Thanks and good Luck everyone xxxx

    Evening all.

Pleased to report I've not eaten anything I shouldn't - so far. And I was on the ball enough to realise I DON'T have a hexa left for this evening as I used that to reduce the syns in my macaroni cheese! I have 4 syns for later!

    Tuesday's menu
Breakfast: 2 Ryvita (2 syns) & hexa cheese
Lunch: scrambled egg & smoked salmon, fruit
Dinner: fakeaway kebab, hexb wholemeal pitta bread, salad stuff
That leaves 13 syns with which to go wild!

    Have a good day tomorrow.

Hi, I know this has nothing to do with SW but, I need to ask if anyone has ever had a water infection and if so, how do you clear it up. It's making me feel not very well. Hope none of you mind me asking x :(

Sorry wiz, not much fun for you :( Loads of fluids, plenty of water and cranberry juice if you can (not very SW but will help). If it doesn't clear up quick you might need to see your GP.

I managed a walk at lunch, 2.1 miles so was very happy with that. I'll have been on 2+ mile walks for 4 days before WI. It'll either have done my weight some good or my body will be going 'what the hell are you doing woman?' and held onto every last ounce it can :rotfl:

Slimming World ~ trying to get back on the wagon...
  • I'm just starting this again...

    I don't fully understand it I admit....at least I think I don't.

If I started my day with a sachet of porridge w/golden syrup flavour (quaker oats sachets)

    No mid morning snack

Lunch plain jacket spud with hoops (think 0 syns right?)

Mid afternoon snack is a mug shot

Dinner will consist of sw friendly food as her indoors will cook it and she knows what she's doing.

I need to fit more fruit and veg in. Maybe fruits to snack on and some cauliflower or broccoli from work canteen with my lunch.

Every other day I plan to have a chocolate bar with my lunch so I don't resent life too much. That will be my syns that day taken up...

Do I count milk in coffee/tea.....prepared to go sugarless too.

Sir Handel - I think the breakfast is about 8 syns, my consultant says you can use it as a HEA and deduct 6 syns, but it's not technically correct.

Chocolate bars aren't that bad syn wise, a milky way is 5
