Helloo
Have packed a lot into Sunday. Slept late but then had to do emergency dash to Sainsbugs for some necessary ointment for me. Then the petrol station was shut so we had to drive halfway across the city for another. When we got back OH discovered the kettle was broke so after a quick bite to eat he dropped me off at the gym and went off to get another. A good workout and a nice hot shower later in a thankfully quiet changing room (I hate it when it's busy as my lack of hair inevitably gets stares!) bus home was on time for once and I got a good chat with my mate in the process. Had a nice tea, watched Call the Midwife and finished and submitted my TMA. Busy day!!!
Sunday's food:
Brunch: Bacon (minus fat) eggs (fried with FryLight) tinned tomatoes, red onion and rosemary sausages
Snack: 2 bananas, HEXB Alpen Light bars
Tea: Chicken minus skin, uncle ben's Thai chilli rice (1.5 syns) mixed veg. Freddo (5 syns)
Supper: Mango chunks, Activia 0%. bag of cheese and onion Baked Stars (4.5 syns)
Drinks: NAS flavoured water, plain water at gym
Body magic: 68 mins cardio (30 mins exercise bike, 15 mins cross trainer, 11 mins treadmill, 9 mins rower, arm bike 3.5 mins)
Syns: 9.5

Morning everyone. Welcome to a new week and new challenge
I have packed my lunch, loads of healthy nibbles and 9 syns to leave me 2 for teatime vimto. SP again as we have casserole packed with beans and lentils for dinner.
Going to try for a walk at lunchtime, just got to scout a good route that will get me about 2 miles and not back to the office sweating like a pigToday may not be the best day to sort that as I have to go to the bank as well, so will do my best and get an idea (I should still be able to make it to and around a bit of the park) and work from there.

Slimming World ~ trying to get back on the wagon...0 -
Morning all
Apologies going totally silent - I've been quite ill and busy too so am only just getting back into a routine.
2 weeks ago I lost 1.5lbs, this Saturday I STS. Not sure how though as I ate so much comfort food
I really need to get back on track this week even though I'm still not 100%
Today (EE):
B: overnight oats (heb) with blueberries
L: chilli (1 syn) with rice & sw chips
Sn: applenot sure at the mo as I'm out this evening so am guessing more chilli leftovers if there is any left?
Hea: milk in tea
Syns: see how I go but may use some for HiFi bars in the evening if I have any I can nab from my work drawer?
Have a good day allApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
Can I go for 8lb off for this challenge please.
Have fallen off the wagon big time since half term so lots of work to do.
Good luck everyone!0 -

Breakfast: omelette
lunch: jacket potato with cheese (from hea) and salad
tea: lasagne, salad and a slice of garlic bread - using jarred sauces (dolmio) so 6syn plus garlic bread at another 6 syn if I feel like it
healthy extras: going to split my A to half milk and half cheese, not sure about B. Maybe a wholemeal roll in the afternoon as bf is home later on because of training.
Changing my plan for today slightly:
breakfast: baked omelette bites (cherry tomato, mushroom and smoked ham) and a cuppa (milk from HeA)
lunch: spied some leftover frittata in the fridge so will polish that off with a little salad
tea: lasagne, salad and garlic bread - I am SO looking forward to this! saving my syns for today for it and drooling just thinking of it now
Makes a massive change being home to do some prep for the week! my plan is:
make today's lasagne
prep a cottage pie and freeze before baking
boil 5 eggs
make and freeze a batch of scotch pancakes (for wonder bairn)
make and freeze a small batch of scones (bit of an experiment, not frozen them before)
grate a chunk of cheese (from a huge block I bought) and portion in to HEs and try to find them space in the freezer!
along with my walk in to town and back, vacuuming through, sorting the kitchen and trying to make a plan for work needed on the garden!************************************

Morning
What a night, poor DH has now got the lurgy and was coughing all night, he ended up on the sofa propped up on pillows and cushions. He was up and about early when our friend dropped the dog off so I got another hours sleep.Lois and Maman I love call the midwife although it makes me cry each week.
Me too. Last nights episode was particularly poignant as it was the last part played by David Ryall who died on Christmas Day last year.
Has something happened with Trixie and her vicar? I've missed a few episodes and she seemed to be drowning her sorrows.
Not sure what we're eating today, there's some l/o chilli we could have with jacket potato, or salmon in the freezer. Breakfast was pineapple and yogurt, and I think there's still plenty of salad stuff so that will be lunch - I might have a HEB tortilla and make a ham salad wrap.
It's great to see everyone's enthusiasm for the new challenge. Good luck to everybody with your goals, onwards and downwards! Thanks for all your hard work Shala.
Have a good week.

Ohhh deffo worth 3.5 syns!!Matron_Midge wrote: »I think aunt Bessie dumplings are 8 syns each
Deffo not worth it!! Lol. I found a pack of aunt b's dumpling mix in the cupboard so ended up using that. It makes 8, but there are 5 of us, so i made 10 more crispy small ones instead! :rotfl: Going from their nutritional guidlines 2 dumplings is are 154kcal, so thats around 5 syns per dumpling (when making 8, and using the 20 kcal per syn rule). So i had 2, thats a max of 10 syns, but that is gonna be my over estimate as obviously mine were smaller! Does that make sense??
Anyway.... It was lovely. I enjoyed it.
Have used 55 syns to date since Friday, but I always used more over weekends. So thats 50 syns left over the next 4 days, completely manageable for me.
Ohh and thanks to you both for answering. You will be pleased to hear I have found my book last night!
Right.... Todays plan is late breakfast early lunch as i'm working 11-6 so need something filling to keep me going. Today should go like this:
BRUNCH: Bacon, egg, beans, 1 wholemeal toast
TEA: Lean ham, new potatoes, egg whites, beetroot, pickles, salad cream
SUPPER: Shreddies (HEA +
Syns: Bread, salad cream and probably a ferrero roche! :rotfl:
Feels good to be writing it all down again. Helps me stick to things.

I will aim for 12lb off for the new challenge. Maybe third time lucky and I will actually do it????
The weekend was not very good, as I woke up with a migraine on Saturday, managed to get it under control with painkillers. Then we set off for the swimming pool for the kids course and I could feel it coming back, so we did a quick detour to get me some food and the only place quick enough and close enough was McDonalds, so ended up with Big Mac. Kids ate the fries, and helped me with the burger in the car onthe way to swimming. I was all set to compensate for this with the dinner, but then we had friends over after swimming and OH decided we should get a takeaway pizza.... So that was my 'healthy' dinner....
Sunday was a bit better, we did roast duck with veg for dinner. We had brunch instead of breakfast, as by the time we sat at the table it was 10:30...
Today's menu:
B: raisin wheats with FF yogurt, coffee
L: salad with a bit of cheese, eggsRisotto with left over duck
Snacks: fruit at work
And there will be syns as we mage choc fondants last night, but didn't cook any - so it will be for tonight. Will have the small one, so hopefully 15 syns will cover it!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Call the midwife - the vicar got a call from the bishop saying he was impressed by his work in poplar and would be offering him a post in Newcastle think it was - trixie thought she'd have a rural parish to bring children up and called the engagement off... She fell asleep after drinking when she was on call a couple of weeks ago n there's been a few trixie alcohol scenes where she's fighting it and then drinking
There was a small glimpse into her past which I think is to be looked into at some point xx
